Chapter 138: Urgent Party Part III
Chapter 138: Urgent Party Part III
“Going to it with a three-player party like this will be quite difficult, but since you guys are so stubborn, I’m not going to say anything more. However, I have to remind you that I’ve pulled the hunt order from the association now. So, that Ouroboros had to be defeated by me, no matter what.”
The command made the only woman in the conversation press her lips together tightly.
In the case of a player pulling the hunt order off the notice board in the association office, it meant that the player had reserved the monster all to himself. And if they failed to hunt and deliver the monster back to the association office within three days, the association would take away their hunter license and charge them an immense number of coins as a punishment.
“You’re leaving now?” The owner of the sweet voice asked with worry that was clear in her tone.
“I got three days as you know. And I’ve already wasted a full day on this nonsense.” Shindanai replied with an emotionless face. Then he handed the pink ceramic teacup that he got from the first place back to Waree.
“The tea was delicious. And thank you for healing the curse for me, too.”
“No problem.” The woman replied drawlingly. Her green eyes were looking at the face of the man who she just met, before giving a slight smile. She did not understand how she felt about this either. It was similar to being worried about him, but it was also more like she wanted to keep having a conversation with him for a little while longer.
The man nodded slightly at Waree before he turned away like he wanted to leave the camp to continue with his quest as soon as possible.
“Hey, Shin.” But suddenly, Wisana shouted out to stop him.
“What?” The name’s owner turned to look at him.
“Are you really going to hunt Ouroboros by yourself? Don’t you think that it’s a bit crazy?” The other got quiet for a moment, but his face remained calm like he was not surprised by the questions that much.
“My key item’s level is different from yours, Vincent. I’m sure that I can defeat the boss by myself. Also... you said you had a wall to climb across, didn’t you? I got my own wall, too.”
“What? So, then we’re like each other.” The one who liked presuming grinned brightly as he walked up to the other man. Then Wisana even slapped the other tall man on the shoulder harshly, sounding like pow, pow, too. “Don’t you think that our meeting is by destiny?”
“No, not at all,” Shindanai replied instantly.
“Aw, that was cold.” The irritating one grinned, then he glanced at his sister. “Haven’t you heard that just our shirtsleeves touching each other can already be counted as destiny before?”
“No.” Once again, he replied without hesitation.
“Sigh, this guy is not friendly at all, Nam.” The man who was in an extremely good mood turned to express his opinion to Waree, and she just let out a laugh in response.
“I think you’re the one who’s been too friendly, Na.”
“That’s my strong point,” he said, patting his chest so proudly of himself. While the outsider like Shindanai only let out a tired sigh, before turning his handsome face to make eye contact with the other man again.
“What are you trying to tell me, Vincent?”
“Call me Wisana.”
Shindanai closed his eyes like he was trying to restrain his mind. And Wisana felt amused after he saw that. He did not have a friend who looked calm and prudent like this, so this could be the reason why this man specially got his attention.
“I’m trying to tell you that I’ve decided to join the hunting gate event that takes place in Dores as well. But the problem is that I’ve just signed up for the association’s membership not so long ago, and the event requires one million hunter points from me to join it.”
“And?” The other one asked calmly.
“Well, and right now there are only two days left before the deadline, right? So, I think that the fastest way to achieve the goal points is to kill Ouroboros that has the hunter point up to...” He paused there, glancing at Waree in asking for the answer.
“15 million points.” His sister said as she opened an information window for reference.
“Right, the hunter points up to 15 million. If I get it, I’ll be able to join the hunting gate, you see?”
“And?”
“And you just warned us that fighting the boss right now would surely get us killed. And you even told me to upgrade the Element’s level, too. Honestly, I don’t have any knowledge about this at all.”
Listening to it here, Shindanai got dead silent. The violet eyes looked back and forth between the brother and sister before his eyes were shut close, then he let out a long sigh.
“You’re saying that...”
“We should be a party until we can kill that Ouroboros!”

“Everyone has all your belongings, right?” Surrounded by the morning delight, a sweet voice sounded lively, as well as a cute smile on her face. The brown-haired girl was heading toward the overgrown forest to continue the journey they made yesterday enthusiastically.
Even though she did not get much sleep last night, Waree was still full of energy like usual. Unlike the boys who were walking after her sluggishly.
“Is your sister energetic like this every day? "The first voice spoke with an emotionless face.
“Yeah.” Another voice replied drowsily. “You’ll get used to it soon enough. Also, I’d prefer the lively sister to the annoying one.”
“Is that so?” The tall man, the owner of the black hair, acknowledged it with a gentle voice, while the other man just yawned as if unbothered when he was kind of surprised by this particularly lively act of his pretty sister as well.
“But it’s nice,” Wisana said, turning to give a smile to the other man beside him.
“What?”
“That you agreed to be our party this easily. To be honest, I was a bit surprised since I thought that you’d be more difficult.”
His words made the cold one glance at him a little before Shindanai chuckled in his throat.
“There was no reason to do that.”
Wisana gave out a wry smile. “And I don’t mind. I was just surprised.”
“That’d be a benefit for me, too.” The cold Shindanai replied drawlingly. “I only have two days left to hunt Ouroboros, so having some support wouldn’t hurt.”
“But I heard that you liked playing solo, didn’t you? Why did you let us tag along this time?” The tall man next to him slowed his steps down instantly. The beautiful violet eyes looked away before he cleared his throat like he felt too awkward to speak about it.
“I’m just annoyed,” he said softly. “The reason I don’t like traveling with others is that they tend to be a burden, or they can’t catch up with me, so...”
Hearing that, Wisana smiled widely. “So, it means that you’ve accepted us, right?”
The other man did not say anything in reply. He just sped up his steps, like he was trying to avoid the question of the annoying one here who kept asking without caring about his reputation at all.
Seeing this emotionless man acting like he was shy, Wisana felt amused. When they first met, he thought that this guy was quiet and insensitive. And combined with the bartender’s story, Wisana believed with all his heart that this man was hard to get along with for sure.
But he found out after trying to get to know him more that this guy was not that bad. He was more inarticulate and not good at expressing his emotions. Like yesterday, when he asked the younger man to join his party, he did not expect Shindanai to nod and say ‘yeah’ that easily.
But that was good... he would introduce this man to Maysa, and maybe ask him to join his guild as well.
The good-looking face of the one who was plotting an evil plan curled up a grin right away. But when he looked up at the surroundings again, he realized that he was walking at the rear. The tall figure of the new party member was walking ahead with his sister now.
“Hey guys, wait for me, too. You’re walking free-handed and how could you leave me behind?” Waree looked back to smile at his words, making Wisana frown even more.
“Stop complaining, Na. You’re a big guy. Why are you whining over a simple favor I asked you?”
“Simple?” The brother raised his eyebrows, before rushing his feet toward them. “Carrying this brat is simple?!”
