Chapter 137: Urgent Party Part II

Chapter 137: Urgent Party Part II

“It’s not going to be like Lord Inferno, Wisana.” He paused for a second. “No... Vincent, to be more accurate, right?”

His words made the siblings finch, especially Wisana who almost retreated away from this well-perceived man instantly. His clear face turned pale in a way that could not hide the shock in there anymore.

“H... how’d you know?” He asked, voice shaking.

“It wasn’t that hard to find out. It was because of your bracelet.” Wisana hurriedly hid the bracelet with a cross on his right hand immediately, then avoided the other’s eyes fast.

“One of the legendary items that disappeared from the Pride for almost a decade, the item that had only one piece in the world, the Element or the knowledge of the elements.” The deep voice said softly, before pointing at the item, making the owner raise his eyebrows.

“And now it has returned. And the only one it belongs to is Vincent, the leader of Nemesis. In other words, it’s you, Wisana.”

Wisana was speechless. He looked away in another direction instantly to avoid meeting his eyes, getting embarrassed for being too careless. Because he had never thought that the man would know this much.

Maybe he knew even better than Maysa!

“You know about the Element as well?” Waree asked.

“Yes, I do, very well,” Shindanai answered. “Because the Element is like siblings to my Four Seasons .” He said, before holding up his hands, showing a plain steel ring in each hand. One ring was gold, and the other was silver, shining brighter and brighter on his fingers.

Seeing those rings, the green eyes widened with excitement. Her slender hands grabbed the man’s to look closer at the items, making the possessive brother flinch.

“These are... these give you the ability to change elements into weapons.”

“Yes, but I can only change them into the form of A-ranked Longinus, that’s all,” Shindanai added. “However, the Four Seasons are still counted as a key item. That’s why when it gets close to another key item, it illuminates, like this.” He finished, then he moved one of the rings closer to Wisana’s bracelet. And it was true like he said. The two items started glowing with light immediately, and the cross on the bracelet was spinning fast as well.

“It’s spinning like a top.” Wisana had never seen his item being like this before. He looked at the other man again.

So, it meant that this guy was one of 14 players who held the legendary items in their hands.

“Let’s get back to the topic.” Shindanai started with a cold voice. “About you thinking of challenging Ouroboros.”

“Yeah?”

“As I said, Ouroboros is completely different from Lord Inferno. This boss has various abilities, and most importantly, the boss has been undefeated for more than two years now. Do you know about this?”

“Two years?!” The one who had never known about anything exclaimed loudly.

“On the Thai server, it’s been only two years? In the U.S. server, there’s no one to hunt the boss for 5 years. I heard that the last time someone did, they were a party of 50 players, but they still couldn’t beat it. Then they just gave up eventually.”

“The server there could be said to be like the Thai server in the sense of the boss’s difficulty.”

After hearing the surprising facts about the boss, the oldest one in the conversation turned pale, the act that made Shindanai sigh without changing his expression.

“From what I see...” He started, before glancing at the Element. “Your level is not that high, right?”

“How’d you know? Do you have some magical insights or what? Your guesses are always right. Damn it!”

“I just know by looking at your Element.” The brief answer made the listener stunned.

“My Element, how?”

“Yeah, well, from what I see, it almost doesn’t look any different. Its level’s probably not that high. That’s why the color is transparent like that.”

“The Element’s level?” Wisana repeated, not quite understanding anything.

“You don’t even know about the key item’s level?!” Hearing the question, Wisana shook his head rapidly, making the emotionless one facepalm out of the most stressed manner. Shindanai glanced at Waree for a second, and the sweet woman just shrugged, giving him a knowing smile in reply.

“You’re a true newbie and still dare to hunt Ouroboros. Haaa... previously, just you have defeated Lord Inferno is a miracle enough.”

“What’d you say?!” Getting looked down upon for the second time, Wisana stood up with frustration. From the beginning, this guy had never been friendly to him for once. For god’s sake!

Wisana started feeling like picking a fight with this guy somehow, so he could punch that upturned nose down!

“If you get mad because of just my words, then you’re not suitable for being the leader of Nemesis.”

“Huh?!”

“Listen carefully.” Shindanai cut him off. “Don’t be so arrogant just because you’ve killed Lord Inferno. Firstly, I have to get it straight to you that you’re not the one that’s capable of killing that boss easily. Secondly, those pro players in Pride are not likely to reveal themselves like you did. So, don’t get the wrong idea that you’re so extraordinary, just because you’re popular among the other players.”

Hearing this long harsh criticism, the man started losing words to argue.

It was true that he was confident about his ability after defeating Lord Inferno. But Wisana had also realized that many players were better than him out there since when he fought that Lycan.

“You’re not ready to fight Ouroboros. You’re not even ready to announce about the Nemesis. Not ready to use the name Vincent either.”

“But I...!”

“Why? What are you in such a rush for? Is there any reason you have to hurriedly get better that badly?”

The questions got Wisana speechless. The amber eyes that were sparkling a while ago looked down in a way that they had never done before. Shindanai’s questions got Waree’s attention as well. Because she never understood why her brother was obsessed with getting stronger and liked to do something challenging like this.

“Because I made a promise to my friends!” The firm voice sounded, making the other two look at Wisana. “If I stop here, many things will not be the same. ...I have a huge wall to climb across. So, if I’m too scared of just a boss in the game. I would never be able to pass that wall ever in my life.”

Then the amber eyes looked up right into Shindanai’s with an obvious seriousness flashing in them. The one who was staring at them let out a long sigh, before he turned his face away, with lips curling up a smile.

Just like I thought, ...this guy’s totally lost his mind.

“I have to tell you something, then,” Shindanai said with a plain voice. “Key items... are the items that have their own levels. From what I see, your Element is probably on level 2. and with this level, you don’t stand a chance of beating Ouroboros for sure. If you really want to fight it, at least you have to upgrade its level to 30-40 first.”

Hearing the changed tone from the speaker, Wisana raised his eyebrows out of curiosity as he looked at his item confusedly.

“Upgrade the Element’s level?”

“Yes. If you so insist on fighting it.” After his words Shindanai stood up again, his large hand grabbing a brown coat that was placed beside him, too.

“Going to it with a three-player party like this will be quite difficult, but since you guys are so stubborn, I’m not going to say anything more. However, I have to remind you that I’ve pulled the hunt order from the association now. So, that Ouroboros had to be defeated by me, no matter what.”
