After that, he placed his hands on the water, and suddenly, the liquid beneath started merging into the shape of a long spear!

And when his bare feet touched the ground, the black-haired man clapped his hands loudly again, bringing out lightning flashes. No longer than a second, the tall figure launched the weapon in his hand at the Chimera, who was still screaming and struggling on the ground again.

After the spell was cast, the shape of the spear pierced right through the lion in full force, causing a dazzling light and the sound of an explosion echoing through the area. The scene was all white before everything was silent and gone.

The wind from the destruction blew so strongly that Waree had to hold up her hands to cover her face. Suddenly she felt like something just flew past by just an inch above her head. After that, there was a sound of something crashing from her back, too!

“What’s that?!” The woman shouted and looked back. The emerald eyes widened in shock when she discovered that the thing that had just flown past her was the 5-meter-tall Chimera. It was in the stage of getting held down to the ground by those spears, not being able to move a muscle.

“Well, without the venom curse, you’re just a common monster, huh.” a deep voice from the same man came from near the water. Those amethysts that used to look emotionless were now flashing frighteningly with rage.

“What a shame that I lost to this kind of monster.” After his words, his rough hands were placed together again, causing flashes of lightning to appear. Then, he whipped his hands in the air, before pulling the wind down into a green spear with a red strap of fabric tied to the tip.

“Zephyr!” He yelled loudly as he spun the weapon around proficiently before the tall man attacked the Chimera quickly. The moment he stepped his foot on the water, instead of sinking in the water with gravity, he started running on the surface of the water just like that. And his speed was so fast that it got Waree dumbfounded.

The huge monster growled out loudly. It moved that snake tail to the front above the head, aiming to attack the black-haired man promptly. And importantly, the deadly venomous creature opened its mouth, getting ready to blow the hellish flame on him, too!

“This is bad. It’s going to use the deadly fire curse!” Waree yelled. In shock, she put her palm out in front of her as she cast a spell fast. And in the blink of an eye, the Chimera was held down by large beams of white light.

Finally, the dazzling light had changed into thick strong rods that were tied around the monster so tightly that it could not move any muscle. And the scene made the watcher snort.

“You didn’t have to do that.”

“Yeah, sorry for getting in your way.” After finishing her sentence, Waree felt the wind blow on her. She looked up and saw the tall figure of the same man running past her. So, the woman just gave out a slight smile as she watched the other finish the Chimera with his last move.

The sharp edge of the heavy spear had flown right through the monster’s head accurately and most violently from the beginning of the attack.

“Not bad.” The clear voice complimented him after the situation got back to peace again. The pretty face sent him a delighted smile. It looked like Waree had forgotten to get mad at the man after seeing the great battle scene a while ago.

“You, too. Your technique of casting the defensive and healing spells is brilliant, maybe the best I’ve ever seen now.”

“You’re really complimenting me?” The woman asked in a friendly manner, but the black-haired man did not even change his attitude. He just let out a long sigh, before turning away to leave quietly like he was planning to.

“What? Come on, why are you in such a hurry?” Waree asked, making him stop walking.

“Why?” He asked back, deadpan. “You want me to keep looking at your nudity?”

“No, it’s not that, silly.” This time she drawled a little like she was more weary than mad. Because she started getting used to his attitude now. “We just participated in beating that Chimera, and you don’t want to introduce yourself to me, who was your urgent party at all?”

“No, I don’t need to.” His answer was clear. And he started walking again just like that, leaving Waree there dumbfounded.

What was this? How could this man have this low social skills, when people even started the conversation with him first and nicely? But instead of getting offended, the woman slipped out a laugh, before shaking her head slightly. She did not mind this attitude at all. To be honest, she had dealt with this kind of person before. Compared to when she first met Angela, this guy was a lot more talkative.

“My name is Waree, but Nam is fine, too!” She cupped her hands around her mouth as she shouted. The one who was leaving stopped his feet again, before letting out a quiet sigh. Then he turned his face to catch the eye of the pesterer with an emotionless face.

“Shin.”

“Your name is Shin?” Waree smiled widely after her befriending tactic succeeded. “I’ll remember you. Let’s say hi if we meet again somewhere.”

“I’ll think about that.”

“You’re really too much... Kya!” With some bad accident or unknown reasons, suddenly the towel she had tucked so tightly got loosened down at the worst time, making Waree turn all red to the ears. She screamed loudly as she sank her body into the hot water instantly.

Shin just made a sound in his throat like a chuckle, shaking his head amusedly. But when he turned and started walking to the other side of the pool, his eyes caught a dark shadow of someone blocking his way. He stared harder before he could see that he was a good-looking man smiling widely at him. The newcomer’s black hair was messy, looking like he had just gotten out of bed. The guy was in a light-colored tank top and a pair of sweatpants that were soaked in the water, but he did not mind the wetness at all.

“Who are you?” Shin asked, making the mysterious man smile even wider. Unlike Waree whose face was turning pale.

“Na...” She whined quietly.

“What did you do to my sister, you pervert.”

“Huh?”

After his words, a heavy fist of Wisana crushed the emotionless face of the other man in full strength, making him, who did not see it coming bounce off to study the pool floor in one hit.

“Na! What the heck? Why’d you punch him?!”

“What? He’s messing with you. It’s obvious.” The over-possessive one answered proudly. Wisana smiled delightedly as he squatted down over Shin’s body which was still sunk in this shallow water.
