Chapter 134: A Man and A Woman with An Unexpected Meeting Part IV

“A Chimera.” The deep voice answered eventually.

“Chimera?”

“Now that you know, can you be quiet, so I can cast the invisible spell?” After his words, the black-haired man whipped his hand above the water, causing a red bright light to surround them in a magic area shaped like a six-pointed star.

The magic skill made Waree raise her eyebrows in surprise.

This spell, it was like a high-class spell of those warriors.

Waree narrowed her eyes at the coming monster consideringly, unlike the black-haired man who was clenching his jaws tightly.

After that, a resounding growl echoed through the area, making the woman flinch a little. And it did not take long before a huge body of something moved slowly to them. When it was out in the moonlight, it could be seen as a big creature with a characteristic of a lion stepping out of the bush.

Its head looked exactly like a lion, but its back half was more like a goat’s body, while its tail was covered in glossy scales with a snake head at the tip.

The pair of green eyes widened in shock instantly.

It was really Chimera, one of the second-ranked bosses.

This rare monster had three elements’ abilities, which were earth, fire, and venom. She could understand now why this man had a curse in him and looked panicked like this. Her guess was that he made a mistake and it spat venom on him, then he escaped to this hot spring to dispel the curse. But unfortunately, Chimera was the type that was so spiteful against players. If it had targeted a player, it would be hard for them to get rid of it.

‘What do we do?’ Waree turned to the man next to her, her lips were moving the question without making any sound. And he shook his head slightly in reply as if telling her not to do something stupid.

And the woman agreed because Chimera was a monster on high alert. Also, it had a good sense of hearing and smell. About the smell, she hoped that at least the scent of the hot spring might help cover their scent up. So, if they stayed quiet, maybe they got a chance to survive this.

‘Why is it after you? Don’t tell me that you fought it earlier.’ Her lips were moving another question out. The man just nodded in response, before he pointed his chin to that monster. When Waree’s eyes followed, she saw that there were many nasty slashed wounds all over its body.

‘You did that?’ And he just nodded in answer.

‘Then why don’t we try fighting it? Looks like it was seriously injured already, we might have a chance to win.’

‘Don’t do anything stupid.’ The owner of the violet eyes turned to stop her instantly before he clenched his jaws in irritation when he did not see the hesitation in her eyes at all. Like she thought that she could beat the Chimera bare-handed, without any weapons!

At the same time, the Chimera monster was walking and searching around the pool. Its long nose was making a soft sniff sound like it was trying to catch some scent of its worst enemy.

Meanwhile, the slim figure placed her hand on the wound of this male stranger, making the taller one flinch and turn to look at her in no time.

‘What are you doing? Trying to get us killed?’ He said with a scolding voice.

‘I’m going to dispel the curse.’

‘Don’t. If you cast a spell, it’ll know we’re here.’

‘You’re too chicken-hearted as a man.’ Her sweet voice said as she curled up a soft smile. A moment later, tender light appeared from her palms. The man was speechless at the scene, not sure what he should be doing.

Was this woman crazy?! Did she really want to get killed, since she knew it well that her unarmed body and his cursed one would definitely not stand a chance with this Chimera!

GROOOWL!!!

Right after Waree started casting the healing spell, Chimera let out a loud growl. Its blood-red eyes gazed at them with vindictiveness. It did not hesitate to sprint to the enemy at a shocking speed.

The strong attack made the man’s sharp face tense up. He clenched his teeth tightly together immediately.

“Get out of the way, silly. Do you really want to die?!” The tall man was trying to push Waree behind his back, but this stubborn woman resisted not to move. Moreover, she was holding one of her hands toward the Chimera, too.

“No, you’re silly. I’m not done with the healing, yet. Stop moving.”

“You... are you crazy? Can’t you see that...”

“Silly this, crazy that, ...for a person you just met, is this how you talk to them?!”

In the blink of an eye, her slender hand illuminated a dazzling light in a way that made the black-haired man’s eyes widen. As fast as a thought, there was a huge light wall appearing between them and the lion monster just in time, sending the Chimera bounce off with the damage up to 26,304 points!

“The sacred wall... you’re a tanker?!”

“Of course! You think that girls only stay in the back line?” Waree retorted to the one standing dumbfounded next to her, while she was moving the other hand all over the wound to fasten up the healing.

“But you’re not carrying a shield, and the Chimera has extraordinarily strong attack points. Even though you’re a durable player, I don’t think that you’ll last if you get hit directly.”

“You should take the time you spend worrying about me to think about how to kill that thing instead. I’m not a noob, just in case you doubt it.” She finished, before looking up and winking at him, making the listener speechless once again.

A few seconds later, his wound was completely healed, not even leaving any scar to be seen, making him quite surprised about it. His violet eyes were looking at the slim woman in front of him, while he was estimating her skill in his mind.

Apart from that top-tier defensive skill, she also had a high-ranked healing spell as well.

This woman was... savage!

“Now that the curse’s gone, you can fight, can’t you?”

“Yeah...” He agreed plainly as he looked at the enemy that was pushing itself up again after getting full reflecting damage by Waree’s skill.

Apart from protecting Chimera’s attack, she also dispelled him from the curse within 30 seconds. Earlier he did not want to fight, because he was worried about the curse and that this girl would be a hindrance to him.
