Chapter 133: A Man and A Woman with An Unexpected Meeting Part III

Right after that, something was falling into the water, making Waree pause. Her bright green eyes were looking around difficultly, because the steam from the hot spring was covering up the whole area like a thin layer of fog, making it hard for her to see the surroundings.

“What was that?” She said to herself, knowing that something had just gone into the water. So, she got up and tightened the towel on her body.

Maybe it could be a monster!

The first thought that came across her mind made her press her pink lips together. If that was really a monster, just waiting for it to attack her first might not be a good idea.

She should just take it down now, so she could continue with her bath time!

After making the decision, Waree tied her hair up in a messy bun, before she walked through the water toward the inner side of the hot pool right away. Her left hand was holding the towel in place, and she was holding her right hand in front of her, getting ready to cast an attack spell in case a monster would actually show up.

Finally, she got to the middle of the hot spring pool. Waree looked around cautiously. And even though the steam started fading, she still could not see anything unusual in this area at all. So, her perfect, arched eyebrows were frowning together.

“Maybe I just misheard that.” She said, before letting a relieved sigh. Then she turned away to get back to enjoying her hot spring. However, what she saw after made her tremble. In the blink of an eye, her cute face which was only tinted with red just slightly was turning into a deep red color, looking just like a ripe tomato now!

Why...?

Because at that moment, there was someone standing in front of her! And he was a tall man without any clothes on his top, revealing a firm and strong body.

His face looked cold, and those emotionless amethyst eyes glanced at her for a second. His thinned black hair that brushed his neck was wet by the steam around them. But the most unacceptable thing was how this guy turned his face away like he did not mind about her existence here at all!

“What? There’s somebody else here, too? Sorry to interrupt.” The deep voice said gently like he was unbothered, even though the one in front of him was a woman with a nice body in a towel that covered very little of her curves.

“I’ll go soak over there, don’t mind me. And don’t...”

“KYAAAAAAA!!!”

“Well, I was about to tell you not to scream.”

The other one completed his sentence with a tired face. He had his hand holding out like he was trying to stop her, but the woman had already burst out the scream. And she even did the loudest one that could probably scare the sleeping birds nearby away now.

“Who are you? Were you trying to peep at me?!” Waree yelled out, hiding herself in the water immediately.

“Peep at you? Me?” The insensitive one retorted, pointing a finger at himself innocently.

What a dumb question to ask like there’re other people around!

“Yes, you. You pervert!” The one getting called a pervert got stunned for a second before he snorted.

“Hey there, watch it now. I told you I didn’t mean to peep at you. I just accidentally passed by. Who would have thought that there would be a person like you being naked around here.”

“How could you say that? Then why didn’t you check around first?!” Waree yelled back in anger. Her green eyes were flaring as they gazed at the man.

“Why? This is a public place, isn’t it? Or did you buy this land so I have to ask you permission to take a bath?” Getting talked back like this, the one that was losing in both the situation and verbal skill flushed from anger even more.

“You...jerk! Stop provoking me. Because it’s a public space, that’s why you have to look thoroughly before you get in the pool!”

“If it’s a public space that you should worry about that much, then why did you take all your clothes off like this?” The last argument worked. Because the woman got speechless, not able to say a word for thirty seconds straight, after her brain had processed that... the guy was right!

Seeing the one that used to be disputing so fluently got quite like she had given up, the man sighed, before walking away like he did not want to argue with her anymore.

“...W... wait, where do you think you’re going?”

“Why? You want me to keep looking?”

“Silly!” Waree bawled in a high-pitched tone. “I mean that you can’t just walk away like this. At least you should apologize.”

“I already said sorry in the first place...” He did not finish his sentence, suddenly the man in front of her paused. His sharp eyes looked to his back quickly, before his tall figure rushed toward Waree, getting a scream out of her for another time.

The brown-haired woman was approached by the mysterious man fast. His strong hand was holding her thin shoulders tightly, while the other hand was covering her mouth with full force. Her green eyes widened out of panic, as well as her heart dropped to her feet.

She was being assaulted, wasn’t she?!!

Her brain jumped to the worst-case scenario, and because of that, her slim figure started wriggling. Her hands were trying to push the outrageous one behind her desperately.

“The hell you’re doing...”

“Be quiet!” The hoarse voice snapped, making her shut her mouth right up. And when Waree looked harder, she noticed that the man did not pay attention to her at all. Instead, those beautiful violet eyes were looking forward tensely.

When she stopped wriggling, the hand on her mouth started to loosen up.

“Don’t make noise, not a single noise. Do you understand?” He turned to give her a command quickly, making the one who could not understand the situation yet nod slowly and helplessly. Even though she was still pissed off, she could sense that the man surely did not mean her any harm.

The owner of the serious face pressed his lips together, before loosening the hand that was holding her down slowly. And that was when she noticed that there was a serious burn on his right arm. The wound was completely black. The color that she knew from one look was done by some kind of curse.

“Tch, it even followed me here. That bastard wouldn’t let me have a moment to dispel the curse, huh.” The hoarse voice complained out of irritation before he placed his hand on the water softly.

“You’re cursed.” She exclaimed in shock.

“Quiet...”

“If you’re not healed fast, you’ll...”

“Stop talking...” He turned to give a scolding look again. “I’m gonna use an invisible spell. Don’t make a noise, or you’ll get killed.”

“You’re being chased?” It looked like she did not listen to him at all. She tucked her towel to tighten it again, before turning to look at him with concern.

“I told you to...”

“What’s after you? If it has such a strong curse that makes your arm completely burn like this, it’s not going to be some typical monster for sure.”

“It doesn’t matter. This is not about you. So, if you don’t want to die now, then shut up!”

“Watch it, jerk!” Waree talked back. “No matter how I look at it, you’re the one who caused me trouble, so you don’t have the right to order me around like this. It’s already nice of me that I’m not running away while yelling to get your location exposed to the enemy!”

The sharp face turned to catch eyes with her for a moment, getting surprised by the other’s smart mouth quite a lot. She seemed like she was not afraid of anything, because she looked back at him with steady eyes, not even taking a single step away.

“A Chimera.”
