Chapter 132: A Man and A Woman with An Unexpected Meeting Part II
Chapter 132: A Man and A Woman with An Unexpected Meeting Part II
“Okay, goodnight, Na. The dinner was delicious by the way.”
“You, too. And thanks.” Wisana waved his hand. And when he saw his sister carrying the little kid to the mattress smoothly, he then let out a chuckle. He guessed that she had probably done this very often when they were in the U.S.
After the girls were out of sight, he looked at his pitiful condition and sighed.
“Jinnie.”
“Yes, master?” The system answered her master quickly.
“How many hunter points do I have?”
“Currently, you have 76,000 collecting hunter points, and your hunter rank is still on rank D.” hearing that, he curled up a slight smile.
“There’s still a long way to go, do you think so?” Wisana said with an amused voice.
“You mean the points that you need to collect to join the hunting gate event?”
“No, it’s not that.” He corrected, holding up his palm to the sparkling night sky, looking like he was drifting away. “...It’s a long way before I can be good at this game.”
His words made the AI girl silent for quite a while like she had not understood her master’s words, yet.
And Wisana was aware that if someone heard him speaking about this kind of stuff with an AI, they would think that he was a weirdo for sure. But it could not be helped, since Jinnie was the only one he was comfortable enough to express his thoughts to right now.
“I don’t understand what you said.”
“I can see that.” Wisana chuckled.
“Well, you have killed Lord Inferno, and have always fought enemies with higher levels than yours. So, from every battle, I have never once taken you as weak.”
These words got an amused smile out of her master.
“Right. I wish you were right.” The tall man said, before pushing himself up and opening a transparent screen.
“By the way, I finally leveled up today, Jinnie.”
“Congratulations, master.”
“I’m level 40 now, huh ...speaking of it, why are my levels so slow to upgrade? Why does it not rapidly go up like when I played earlier?”
“That is because the higher level you are, the more EXP needed to upgrade to the next one. Also, Pride world is more special, because the players spend more time in the game longer than the other game, making it harder to level up.” The master made a sound in his throat as an acknowledgement.
“But I’ve always fought enemies with higher levels than mine. It should go up faster than this, right?”
“About that, I really don’t know why.”
“Never mind.” Wisana cut her off. Then he stood up, without taking his eyes off the information window.
“Anyway, Jinnie.” He started.
“Yes, master?”
“Earlier when I was checking out the items that can be traded with the hunter points, I found an interesting item, too. Do you know what it was?”
“No, I don’t.”
“A ram, grade A one. And the point to trade is just three hundred thousand. I’m going to get it for you.” After he finished speaking, the AI got quiet again, making the master raise his eyebrows out of confusion before he held a hand up to scratch his head.
“Why are you not saying anything? You don’t want it anymore?”
“Well, I’m really glad that you’re going to get the item to upgrade me, but...”
“But what, babe?” He asked smilingly.
“But you need the points to join the hunting gate event, don’t you? So, you don’t have to worry about the promise you gave me right now. You should first set the event as the priority.” Wisana paused for a moment and then he let out a sigh, shaking his head out of endearment.
“This is why I need to hurry up and get the ram to upgrade you.”
“Yes?” Jinnie drawled, sounding like she did not understand.
“If you had a body right now, I’d surely stroke your head in endearment of your loveliness. So, I don’t care about that. I’ll personalize you as soon as I can. I promise.”
“...Y... yes, master.” The owner of the sweet voice acknowledged it with a small shyness in her tone, making her master laugh slightly.
“We’d better get some sleep, then. Tomorrow will be a big event for us to collect one million and three hundred thousand, you know.”
“Copy that.”
Wisana nodded, before walking to his tent, without even having to carry those cursed swords with him. Because they would float after their master inside anyway.
When the tent was closed, the peaceful evening gradually passed and the surroundings quieted down, leaving only the monster repellent campfire cracking.
At the resting area of the girls, a dull-colored tent curtain door was lifted slowly, revealing a slim figure of the brown-haired girl who was sneaking out quietly.
“He’s asleep, now, huh?” Her sweet face curled up with a soft smile of happiness. The pair of green eyes were looking at her brother’s tent that was now zipped close, a sign that the man was probably sleeping with exhaustion already.
“It took quite a while for him to sleep. I can’t believe this guy was talking to Jinnie for so long.” Waree muttered a complaint before she started walking and disappeared into a line of overgrown trees nearby.
----------------
In an area of a forest around the foot of the mountain in Dores, there was something hidden here. It was a natural hot spring that was one of the most famous attractions. Because apart from giving emotional relaxation, it could also heal physical exhaustion and every kind of debuffs, as well as fulfilling the health points.
However, it was strange that this great recreational place rarely had visitors. The hot spring was often empty and peaceful. Maybe it was because the location was in a dangerous zone that had nocturnal monsters wandering around most of the time.
Regardless of any reasons, for the one who liked taking hot baths with heart and soul and was also too skilled to be bothered by those wild monsters, soaking herself in the hot spring was like a paradise on earth.
Right now, the brown-haired woman was smiling happily. She was humming a song chillingly by the hot spring, while she was taking her clothes off piece by piece until she only had a towel wrapped around her body.
“This is so nice...” Waree moaned a little when she touched the hot water, before leaning her back against a stone with relief. The aglow moonlight made her fair smooth skin look even more glowing and more beautiful than usual. The hot temperature made her pretty face tinted with slight red, making her look many times livelier.
”If I did not take a bath today, I’d probably go crazy for sure.”
And it made sense for her to say this because she had been using her energy to help her troublesome brother that she was soaked with sweat all day. Actually, she had wanted to come to this hot spring in the first place. This relaxing area was like a secret place that she liked to stop by since she played on the U.S. server. At that time, she purposely told her party to make a camp around here, so she could have the chance to soak in this hot bath by herself as well.
“It’s such a relief taking a break from being a babysitter.” She said, joining her hands together as she stretched her arms out.
Since she joined Nemesis, this was the first time she could rest without worries. Because normally, apart from her stubborn brother who liked pulling problems out to give her a headache, the obstacles along the way were also so many that made a lively person like her stressed out, too.
But anyway, even though she had to fight any difficult monster, or deal with her brother’s puppy eyes if she had the chance to get in this hot spring once in a while, she could be grateful for being born now!
“Haaa, this is my happiness.” She drawled, curling up a happy smile.
PLOP!
