Chapter 125 - 7 Stars Sword Part III
Chapter 125 - 7 Stars Sword Part III
“What about the other 5 pieces, brother. Those don’t seem like swords, though. They’re more like knives.”
“Don’t worry, brother. These small swords have many fancy tricks.” The seller said while he was putting the fire and ice blades back into the sheaths quickly. Wisana was getting too excited to notice the swollen red palm of the merchant after he let go of the twin swords.
It did not take long before he brought out the leather strap with 5 knives for Wisana to see.
“These 5 knives are the real deal, you know. Each one adds abilities for the user. Like this cloud blade adds agility stat to the player, creates illusions, and has a light weight as well. And about the sharpness, I can assure you that it’s excellent. It can get a dragon riddled, even.”
He explained, before pointing to another one.
“This one is the blood blade. It’ll double HP for the player. Moreover, it can cause a bleeding curse on the enemy, too. It’s so sharp that it can cut through the dragon’s skin as well. This blade is the magic blade. It can absorb the enemy’s magic, and debuff them with a salience curse that makes them lose the ability to cast spells, too. And it can easily cut through a dragon’s skin.”
Then he moved on to the other three.
“And these three are the thunder, the earth, and the water blades. They have abilities according to their element names. Each one has a specific curse. And about the sharpness, don’t worry, they can...”
“, Cut through a dragon’s skin easily, right?” Wisana completed his sentence with a bored face. The look in his amber eyes showed that he was so done with this uncontrollably. “Brother, are they called 7 stars swords, or 7 dragons swords, huh?”
“Aw, they’re just so good, that’s why I am presenting them to you.” The persistent merchant made an excuse as he scratched the nape of his neck shyly, before he proceeded to his final move, the puppy’s begging eyes. Wisana let out a long sigh.
Actually, he found these swords interesting. Mister Sander always said to try new weapons to create variety for his attacks. And these ones seemed alright to try. But the problem was the price. Even the seller insisted that they were cheap, but right now he only had sixty thousand left. If he spent too much, he was afraid that Waree would scold him again.
Wisana thought, before looking up at the bigger man. (Sigh)... okay, poor brother.
“I can pay only ten thousand, that’s all I have. If they’re more than this, I won’t take them.”
Wisana said, before curling up a grin. He was thinking that maybe if he offered to buy at a very low price, the stubborn merchant would give up and leave him alone eventually. Even though he wanted these swords so much, he did not have money to spend on this kind of thing now. So, he would wait until he was ready and buy them later.
“Okay, sold!”
The quick answer made the one who was smiling freeze before gasping in shock when he realized what he was hearing. Was this merchant crazy? Why did he take the underpricing offer and look very happy about it like this?!
“Hey, brother, are you serious? You’re going to sell these high-ranked items for ten thousand?” Wisana asked out of shock.
“It’s okay, brother. I really need some money to spend right now. Your ten thousand can save my life a lot.”
“So, you’re serious.”
“I am!”
Not only was that said, but the merchant also shoved the seven stars swords in his hands, too, making the one who was not ready look back and forth between the items in his hands and the seller awkwardly. Wisana was curious because no matter how he looked, they were probably worth more than one hundred thousand. So, even if he needed money, he should not agree to sell them at a low price like this.
“Are you sure?” Wisana was still not sure about this.
“Come on, brother. Don’t be tardy. I have urgent business to attend to later. Just transfer me the money, so I can leave.” When he heard a reply like this, the courteous one hurriedly told Jinnie to transfer the money to the man in front of him right away.
“Thanks a lot, brother. I’ll never forget about you helping me this time.” The other said after the transaction was complete.
“It’s nothing, really.” Wisana drawled in reply, but when he looked up again, the man was not here anymore. He saw the tall figure disappear into the crowd at an incredible speed.
The black-haired man could only scratch his messy head curiously, not understanding the reason of the merchant at all.
“Well, whatever.” He said, before shrugging, unbothered.
He did not force the man to sell them to him anyway. So, it was not his fault if the merchant regretted it later!
He thought, before putting the leather straps on his shoulders and walking away. He did not realize that someone was watching him with a terribly guilty look from a corner of a building, not far from the old spot they were. A dark dreadful face appeared with a big drop of sweat, steaming down the face, even though the weather was quite chill.
“Oh well, it was like I tricked that guy.” He said with a downhearted voice. “But don’t worry, brother. The ten thousand I got from you; I’ll donate every single coin to wish you the best merit. Please, forgive me for this.”

“I told you that I’m in Dores right now. What do you want from me, Ae?” A treble shout of irritation came from a slim figure that was walking down the short stairs in the airship port of Dores.
Her playful expression was now grumpy as she used her shoulder to hold a communication device tightly, while her hands were busily typing something on the screen.
“I thought you were kidding! But you actually followed them to Dores, you crazy?!” The bawl came from the other side of the call, getting a sigh out of Maysa.
“Yeah, I did.”
“What about you saying that you’d come to discuss the deals and contracts with other shops with me?”
“Go by yourself! They are all your friends, aren’t they? You can handle it without me anyway!” Her response made the other snort out of anger. Was it not the job of the chief of staff like her as well?!!
“You’re not coming to sign the contract with me is fine. But how dare you throw that freaking bike to me to modify, too, huh? What does this mean, Miss freaking Maysa?!”
“I’ll tell you what it means.” Maysa raised her eyebrows. “It means that the Nemesis’s chief of staff orders the chief of technicians to repair and modify an item for me. Why? You got a problem with that?”
“Damn right, I do!” Manoch shouted resoundingly through the call, making Maysa put the device away from her ear instantly. “Do you know that it requires a lot of materials to modify? And you didn’t even leave me any coins. Importantly, I’ll remind you again that our positions are equal, so you don’t have any right to give me orders! You hear me?!!”
The gunner just shook her head, getting so done about her best friend’s stingy habit, and about the habit of always picking a fight with her, too! Come on, did he not know that it was so annoying!
“Stop complaining. I’ll pay you back later.”
“Of course, you will.” Manoch snapped. “Just you wait and see, I’ll charge the hell out of you for the modification.”
“You stingy! Greedy merchant!”
“Yes, I am. And you’re the worst devil!!” Getting nagged by her childhood friend like that, her jaws clenched with frustration.
“Whatever, I’m so fed up talking about this with you right now. It’s like speaking to the wall. So, how long are you going to stay in Dores?”
“Until Wisana gets better at this game.”
“Fine! When I finish the business here, including the job that you forced me to do, I’ll catch up with you there later.”
“Okay, just contact me when you’re here. We’ll probably be hanging around the town.”
“Did you find Na, yet?”
“No. I tried to contact him once, but he didn’t answer. Maybe the signal got jammed or something. You know how bad the communication system is when there’re a lot of people in town.”
“If you see him, tell him that I’ve been upgrading the butterfly effect now. And I’ll give it back to him when it’s done.”
“‘Kay, I will.”
“I’ll hang up now. Have fun while I’m working my butt off on the jobs that you dumped at me!”
“Aw, thank you Mister Manoch. I will!” Maysa ended as she was curling up a satisfied smile, before hitting the end call button and closing the screen down indifferently.
After that, the pair of pretty grey eyes glanced at Athenia tower at the center of the town and sighed. She actually followed the party here! She did not understand either why she had to waste her time traveling here, even though she had assigned tasks for each member of her party already. Then why when not seeing the guy for a day made her feel so bored and distracted? And she got even more frustrated to know that Warunya wanted to come and see him!
W... wait, all of that was nonsense! The actual reason she followed them here was that she was worried!
She was worried that an impulsive one like that guy would get hurt if she was not there to instruct him what to do. She was worried that he would get awkward in front of Warunya. And she was worried that he and Warunya might have a crush on...
No, no!!
