Chapter 123 - 7 Stars Sword Part I

Chapter 123 - 7 Stars Sword Part I

“Hunting gate event?”

The owner of a delightful voice asked while she was busy managing the items she just bought, into a transparent screen in front of her. Her perfect eyebrows frowned a little at what she heard before she shook her fair face and replied.

“No, I don’t think so!” Waree rejected clearly and slowly.

“Why?!” Wisana raised his voice, mouth frowning in displeasure.

“Na, are you playing dumb, or you’re actually dumb?” Getting offended by his sister like this, the older one gasped, unlike Angela who turned her face away to laugh out of satisfaction.

"We’re being targeted by the item hunters right now. Joining the event is not smart at all. Apart from revealing our location to them, it’ll show them about our levels and skills, too.”

“It couldn’t be that bad.” The stubborn one tried to argue unreasonably, making the interlocutor’s eyes get surly. Waree placed her hands on her waist, while she was staring at the only man at the party with a face so serious that it made him shrink his neck away like usual.

The longer they spent time together, the stricter Nam became.

Who’s the oldest here?!

“Also, this kind of event will be nationally broadcasted for sure. So, whether you join in as Wisana or Vincent, it’s still too risky anyway.”

“Uh... Well, that...” Wisana scratched his cheek, speaking in a quieter voice.

Seeing the other got silent, Waree let out a sigh of boredom. The slender figure grabbed her brother and Angela by the hands, walking past the crowd, and out of the market at the center of Dores quickly. Finally, she saw a bench by the town’s gate, looking comfy to sit on. So, she did not hesitate to drag her party mates there, in order to get the one who was being nonsense to listen to her reasons.

Come on, he was the oldest one. And why was he acting like a kid crying to get a new toy?!

“Sit down. We need to talk.” Waree commanded.

“Who’s the oldest here again?”

Wisana could not help but mutter a complaint as he was sitting down on the bench like he was told.

“I doubt about that, too.” Waree snapped, and that was even more amusing to Angela, making the one who was getting roasted now turn to goggle at her with irritation. “Now, tell me the reason why you’ve gone crazy and wanted to join that kind of event. If it’s valid enough, I might let you do it.”

“Is the word crazy really necessary...?” He made a sour face at her words, before rolling his eyes one round, like he was trying to write a brilliant essay in his head.

“Can you say it now?” The other one rushed.

“Well...” He started, placing his hand on his lips like he was having a serious consideration. “It sounds fun.”

“That’s all?” Her voice sounded stricter, however, Wisana still deadpan confirmed.

“Yeah, that is all.”

Waree let out a big sigh before she hit her forehead a couple of times like she was trying to restrain her mind.

“I didn’t quite believe it then when May said you were the worst troublemaker.” She shook her head slightly. “But I believe that with all my heart now that you’re the worst of the worst. you’re also the kind that is pure impulsive, even.”

In other words, the kind that only has his head just to hang his ears. That was what she thought but did not say it.

The pair of emerald eyes glanced at the man in front of them again. It seemed like he did not even realize that he was being insulted right now. That was why he was grinning so widely like this!!

“I got it from my parents.” And he even replied to her like that so proudly!

“If you said so, then I don’t know how to stop you. Just do whatever you please.” The woman said, sounding resigned.

“Really?!” Wisana bounced up from the bench.

“But!”

“But...?”

“You need to ask May first. If May approves, then you can join the event. But if she says no, you have to get over this without any argument, okay?”

“Okay!” He said enthusiastically, making Waree a little surprised that the man did not seem to be worried about it at all. As if he already knew that Maysa would spoil him and agree with him anyway.

The thoughts made her start feeling irritated by her brother so much!

The brown-haired girl shook her head wearily before her fair hand took a pocket watch out to check the time. If she was not wrong, today was the day that Maysa would bring Wisana’s friends to meet up with them in Dores. But even though it was this late, there was still no contact from Maysa.

Then the slender girl put the watch back, before turning to Wisana who was still grinning happily.

“What time are your friends going to be here? They’re coming today, right?” The question made him flinch like he just realized.

“Huh?! Oh, those guys.” he said, avoiding her eyes. “They’ll contact us when they get here. We don’t have to wait for them. I think we’d better go ahead and farm outside of the town."

“You think so?” Waree drawled, while she was looking at the view outside of the town. And when she did not see other players crowding there, she then nodded in agreement.

It was not going to be any use if they were still strolling around in town. It was good that she finally got a chance to teach this bro to hunt monsters.

“Did you buy all your necessary items, though? If you did, then we go now.”

“I haven’t bought any HP potion and new weapons yet. But that’s okay. I can buy them next time.”

“No, it’s not.” She argued. “You should go buy your items. Angie and I will wait for you at the town’s gate. I’ll have to talk to May about you wanting to join the event, anyway. Okay?” The woman said as she pointed to a huge stone arch with two guards in full armor suits standing by its sides.

“Okay.” Wisana nodded in agreement.

“And don’t forget to buy some coats. Because where we’re going is a lot colder than the Kravenza forest. Oh, and buying various kinds of dispelling potions will be a good idea, too. Don’t buy only blue potion.”

“Sure, Mom. Do you have anything else to instruct me, my beloved mother?” He turned to nag at her. But the woman just gave him a smile, before she instructed him delightfully.

“Don’t talk to, or follow strangers, okay?”

“Watch it, Nam.” Seeing his sister go along with his sarcasm like that, the man just wanted to knock on her head for once. However, she did not wait for that to happen, and just fled with a giggle, as did Angela who turned back to give him a mocking smile, like she was very satisfied about him getting teased like this.

After the girls passed by, Wisana turned and started walking back to the market again.

The central market of Dores was as vigorous as the capital, like Tristan. The difference was that the shops here were mostly stalls. Unlike in Tristan, the shops were in buildings, and the items categories were divided into zones, making it more convenient to shop.

Maybe it was because of this reason that this market was very crowded with players. Some of them were looking around like they could not find what they wanted to buy, making the traffic on this small street quite jam.

“Jinnie,” Wisana called his personal AI when he got to a potions store.

“Yes, master?”

“Can you check my potions? How many do I have left now?”
