Chapter 116: A help from GM Part III

Chapter 116: A help from GM Part III

“Miss Anne?”

“Yeah? Sorry, I was spaced out a bit.” Rattana got herself back together again before turning to give a soft smile to the people in the back.

“Well, I don’t understand what you were saying at all. You were trying to tell me that I killed the Lycan by myself? And... and when did you get there? How... well, I’m confused.” Everyone aside from Wisana looked at each other knowingly for a second. And finally, Rattana was the first to start explaining.

“My side of the story started from when I got reported by the other players about the Safe Way in Kravenza disappearing. So, I went into the forest to check it out and I met you guys there. That was why I volunteered to get you, who was unconscious, out. That was all.” Wisana nodded in understanding. However, another mystery had not been solved, yet.

Was it true that he beat the boss down by himself but could not remember any of that?!!

“Well, about me...”

“Don’t be bothered about it.” The GM cut him off, making the questioner quite surprised by that. “I think something in the server went silly and caused a problem on your ID, bouncing you off. And the king of Lycan was probably destroyed by some viruses.”

“Could that be possible?” The pair of golden brown eyes widened surprisedly.

“Yes. When the Safe Way suddenly disappeared like that, it was probably a server problem, too. So, don’t worry. You got out of there and you’re fine, now. I’ll take care of the rest.” Rattana’s explanation had something bugging Wisana. But when his eyes caught those pretty brown eyes of the other, he gave up on asking questions, before he let out a sigh.

“Okay, it’s just good that we’re okay, then.” He said calmly.

“I apologize for failing to take care of the system.” The woman said with a serious voice.

“It’s alright. The GMs have a lot of work to do already. I’m the one who needs to thank you for driving us out of there.”

Listening to those sincere words, the GM could not help but smile slightly. Then she checked the time on her information window, before turning to Waree in a hurried manner.

“I have to go, Nam. I have a lot of work to do.”

“You’re leaving now?” The brown-haired girl sounded regretful.

“I wish I could stay with you for a little while. You know how bad that guy likes to force people to work, don’t you?” Hearing her reason, the clear pretty face appeared a smirk instantly.

“Truly,” Waree said with a sigh.

Rattana smiled at the teasing words before she glanced at the other side of the car to see Angela sitting there.

“At first, I was surprised to see you here, too, Angie. But it’s good that you two can still hang out together again.” She finished and held out her hand to rock Angela’s head softly. And the little one just nodded in agreement, her lips curling up a little like a smile.

“Contact me if you have any problems. I still use the same number. Oh, and try to open up to someone else, too, not just Nam. Or you’re not gonna have any other friends.”

After listening to her words, the ruby eyes glanced at Wisana for a second, before nodding at her senior in acknowledgment. And Rattana wanted to complete her last mission here before she left.

“Mister, Wisana.”

“Yes?”

Suddenly, her fair face leaned in close, almost making him jump out of the seat. Her beautiful brown eyes were staring right into Wisana’s steadily.

“M... Miss Anne, ...well, what are you doing?” The man asked stutteringly, feeling his cheeks heating up uncontrollably.

“Sorry, I’d like to do a scan for the information when you fought the king of Lycan a little bit. Just in case, we’ll need it later for the server maintenance.”

“Is that so?” He laughed wryly in response.

So, she actually just wanted to scan him. (Sigh,) he would never get used to this for sure. Starting from Ada, Lala, and now this GM Anne. Even though this one was so beautiful that it made his heart skip a beat!

“I’d like to warn you guys about something, too.” The cold voice spoke up again.

“What?”

“With your levels now, you guys won’t be able to stand a chance against the hunters, not even resist them long enough to see their faces.” Wisana got stunned instantly by her words. The fair face moved back away, before giving him a soft smile like she was implying something to him.

“What do you mean by that?” The one who was reminded of being a noob narrowed his eyes doubtfully.

“It’s nothing, really.” Rattana shrugged. “I believe that people like you wouldn’t step away from this because you’ve got heart. But that’s not enough. Skills and proficiency are important, too. If you have a nice gun, but you don’t know how to shoot it, it’s not different from a piece of junk, right?”

Then Wisana understood what this woman was trying to tell him. The pair of rusty-colored eyes avoided her, feeling ashamed.

Rattana tried to imply that no matter how much potential he had if he did not learn how to use the skills or study the game’s information, it would be hard for him to win against anyone. And he had learned this lesson since he fought that king of Lycan.

When there was not his advisor like Maysa, Wisana then realized that he was just a weakling!

After that, the limousine that had been driving all this time slowed down and stopped, finally. The GM did not say anything more. She just opened the door and got out of the car, not forgetting to turn back to look at Wisana again.

“You have your class master, don’t you? Why don’t you consult him about your gameplay? Maybe he could help you get stronger.”

“Master?”

Rattana just nodded slightly, before she said goodbye with a polite voice,

“May you excuse me; I have to go now. I hope we’ll meet again soon. And don’t worry about the car. It’ll take you to Dores safely.” She finished before her slim figure turned and walked away with Waree running and catching up with her.

“Wait, Anne.” The brown-haired girl shouted to get the attention of the older one to stop and look back at her.

“Yeah?”

“I know what information you took from Na.” The voice got softer like she was afraid that the man in the car would overhear it.

“You know me so well.” The GM smiled slightly at her junior.

“You started to have the same suspicion as me, right? About Na has...”

“We can’t jump to the conclusion.” Rattana cut her off. “But I’ll run an investigation as thoroughly as possible. So, in the meantime, you can’t tell this to anyone, especially Wisana. Do you understand?”

Waree let out a long sigh before she nodded.

“And you be careful, too. Okay?” The black-haired woman reiterated again with concern.

“Yeah, I know. And about the Safe Way disappearing and the king of Lycan being significantly difficult, the hunters were involved in these events, weren’t they?” The fair face of the one being questioned showed a hint of worry clearly. But it was like she was aware of that because she held up a hand to adjust her glasses in place to cover it up.

“Anne?”
