Chapter 115: A help from GM Part II
Chapter 115: A help from GM Part II
“You don’t remember anything about the king of Lycan?”
“King of Lycan?” The man repeated the words for a while, before he jumped, looking around with extreme shock!
“Right! I remember now!” Wisana yelled. “We were fighting with that damn dog, and then Angie was about to get killed...”
After he was done shouting, he turned to look at the one who was about to get killed, who was already looking at him with emotionless eyes like usual. Wisana pointed his finger to the little girl, his eyebrows raising.
“And why are you not dead?”
SMASH!
A hit right on the forehead made him fully awake, finally.
“That was a very rude greeting, Mister Wisana,” Angela said with her usual resting face.
“And your greeting was very brutal, too, Angie!” The tall man whined, rubbing on his forehead.
“That’s enough, both of you!” Waree came in to prevent the war. “So, you really don’t remember?”
“Remember about what?” Wisana asked again confusedly. And he just realized that right now, they were in a fancy limousine, which was bathed in the evening sunset. It seemed like everyone had gotten out of the night zone of Lutier already.
“Wait, hold on. What is this place? And what did I miss?!”
“He really hasn’t stopped yelling since he woke up. I can’t believe he’s the same guy as Vincent who made a debut in front of the public yesterday.”
“Crap!” Wisana jumped when he heard an unfamiliar voice from the front seat.”
The owner of the voice was a slim woman in the seat beside the driver. Her black hair was tied up loosely, blowing in the wind. The sunset on her made her smooth face look gentle and beautiful. Unlike the pair of her fierce eyes behind the silver frame glasses that shine a hint of seriousness that made anyone who looked at them tremble.
“Good evening, Mister Vincent ...no, I have to call you Wisana, to be accurate.” The man’s face tensed up at her greeting.
“Y... you are...” He stopped for a moment like he needed some time to think. “...Do I know you?”
“Uh...” The one who was anticipating what he was going to say, like Waree, frowned. “If you don’t know her, just say that you don’t. Man, you’re so dramatic.”
“No, you don’t know me, and it’s okay.” The woman said while she was giving him a calm smile. “Because this is the first time that we actually meet to have a conversation in person like this.”
“Is that so? Er.... then, nice to meet you.”
“Me, too.” She spoke. “Let me introduce myself. My name is Rattana, a GM. You can call me Anne as well.”
“GM?” Wisana repeated slightly. “Huh?! You’re actually a GM?!! And you already know my name...how?!”
After he could process her words, the man started yelling through the limousine again.
“It’s okay, Na. She’s not going to tell anyone about your real name. I assure you that she’s trustworthy. Because she was my senior when I studied in the U.S.”
“Your senior?” he asked confusedly, while he was looking at Rattana’s face like he was waiting for her confirmation.
“That’s right.” she replied with a polite voice, contrasting with the hint of amusement that was shining in her eyes.
“Er... anyway, thank you for taking care of my sister when she was there.”
“Well, I think I need to thank you, too.” The GM replied instantly. “I was worried about her when she first moved here because her parents are kind of busy. But, luckily, you’re here to take care of her. So, I’m kind of relieved now.”
“Not really. She just moved in. So, I haven’t done much for her, yet.” Getting praised just for a bit, the one who was fond of flattery started to show his flattered manner.
“Yes, you have. This girl can’t be left unattended, really. She’s also too careless that she could even trip, even though there’s nothing to trip over somehow.”
“Anne!” Her face turned red when she was being gossiped about at such a close range like this. Even though this situation was not about her, why did she become the main topic now?!!
“Oh, I can’t agree more with that!” Wisana added enthusiastically.
“Na!”
“I know right? Sometimes, I didn’t really get how she dressed, too. So, careless.”
“Right! I can confirm this point!” The brother did not hesitate to support his new party, while he was reminded of when his sister was walking around his condo in his university uniform shirt.
And he insisted that even though she was his stepsister, it still was not appropriate to dress like that when she was with him alone. And Waree, who was getting bullied by these people, could only keep her head down with the most embarrassing feeling.
“Anyway,” Rattana concluded while she was looking at her junior smilingly. "At least I can be assured that this girl is in good care now.”
“Well, it can’t be helped. My dad asked me to look after her. So, I don’t think I’d let him down.”
To be more accurate, he was forced to do so!
“And what is a GM like you doing out here?” Finally, Wisana could get back to the main topic. “Oh, did you come to save us from that evil dog? Wow, thank you so much. I actually thought I was dead, you know.” Then he started muddling a whole story, making the listener shake her head amusedly.
“Well, yeah, I did save you.” She spoke. “But you can’t remember anything before that?”
“Yeah?”
“It’s about how you solo killed the king of Lycan, and how you were able to use the ability of the key item, too. Don’t tell me that you forgot all of that.”
“Me? Solo killed the werewolf? You’re joking, right? How would I be able to do that? I remember I was the one that almost got killed by it.”
After that, he curled himself up laughing, but when he looked around, no one was laughing with him. So, he sat up straight and pretended to cough.
“Wait, it’s true?”
“You’re being serious, right?” Waree turned to ask him wearily.
“Yes, I am, I can’t remember anything.” He said honestly. Because the last thing he saw was Angela’s throat about to get bitten by the werewolf. But when he saw the girls’ expressions, he started to doubt himself now.
“Interesting.” The plain voice said softly. Rattana took her eyes off the tall man in the back seat and considered something quietly.
She still recognized this man’s movements well. Every move was decisive and accurate. And importantly, he could deadpan cast difficult spells that there was no way a player with just level 38 would be able to do. So, did it mean that his actions were all driven by his subconscious?
Or could it be...?
“Miss Anne?”
