Chapter 114: A help from GM Part I

Chapter 114: A help from GM Part I

The large battle that occurred in the middle of Kravenza Forest left a large hole from the explosion there. Many lines of trees were destroyed and some of them were caught on fire. Behind layers of the spreading smoke, two tall figures of the men appeared with emotionless faces.

The first man was Allen, the owner of red, devil-like eyes. He bent down to scoop up some dirt on the ground to look, before letting it slip through his fingers.

“That was magic merging, no doubt. A high-ranked skill.” The deep voice said with a hint of tension in it.

“So, you were right.” His buddy said, before letting out a long sigh.

“But I don’t understand. With his level now, how did he have the speed that eyes couldn’t follow like that? And how did he use the magic of light to create illusions? These were supposed to be the second class’s abilities, even.” Allen said as he was standing up straight again and looked around the environment.

“And I don’t know what weapon he used. I’ve never seen something like that before.” The man was thinking about when Wisana turned the flames on his hand into a blade, and when he turned the stones into spears. He had never seen those kinds of things, either.

There was not any class that had the ability to turn elements into weapons, was there?

The more he thought about it, the more his eyebrows frowned. The curiosity was obvious on his face. Nero just glanced his violet eyes at the other man, before slightly pushing his glasses frame in place.

“I think the ability was from the item that the hunters have their eyes on.” His words got the attention of the man standing next to him.

“What do you mean?”

“Either the Element or the Darkness had been activated for sure.” Allen touched his chin, agreeing in his mind that the other had a point.

“We need to investigate more. Maybe Alice has some information about him.” Nero suggested, and the other nodded in agreement.

“But the thing that has been confirmed is his Signetic.”

“Right. I agree with you now.” The blond guy said, before letting out a long sigh.

“Vincent’s Signetic is shocking. Perhaps, it’s even on the same level as our boss.” The owner of the ruby eyes paused, before glancing at the speaker.

“You’ve changed your mind?”

“I have.” A satisfied smile appeared on the emotionless face of Allen instantly.

“I’ve changed my mind, too. Perhaps, Vincent’s Signetic can probably suppress our boss’s, even.”

“What?!” Nero yelled out loudly. “That’s impossible. You know about Boss’s strength well. And what Vincent did just now wasn’t even half of the boss’s capability.”

“Yeah, I agree.”

“Huh?”

“Just for now. But after a month or two, when he can figure out how to control the Signetic in his body, he’s going to be one of those dangerous people for sure.”

After listening to the disagreement, the long-haired man got quiet for a moment.

“But his abilities are so strange.” Nero tried to argue.

“Well, he seems to be one of those impulse style players.”

“No, I think he’s probably a whisper or a rate time...” He stopped there like he could not find words to speak. And then, they both got silent, lost in their own thoughts for a while before Nero started a conversation.

“Anyway!” He cut it off with a decisive voice. “I’m afraid that this will be our problem later. So, I think that we should end your experiment here and get back to report this to everyone before it gets too late.”

After finishing, Nero turned and was actually about to walk away if Allen had not grabbed his shoulder to stop him. Their eyes caught just for a moment before the blond-haired man knew what his close friend was thinking.

“Allen, this is not a joke anymore, you know,” Nero warned wearily. “You already saw how deadly Vincent’s Signetic was. Plus, we don’t know the ability of his weapon for sure, yet. So, I think we should save your fun for the next time, and let’s hurry back to the death zone.”

“Chill, Nero,” Allen said as he was curling up a big smile. “Many things about that guy are still bugging me. Also, if we’re back in the death zone now, it’d be difficult for us to get out of there again. So, just let me get more information about this guy. We’re already here anyway.”

“Mister Allen, he’s not some toy to play with to kill your time! Didn’t you see that he just beat the monster that we created down, so easily like turning his palm?”

“Yeah, that’s why I want to test something more.”

“Test?” Nero raised his eyebrows. “What else do you want to test him?”

The curious look in his eyes brought a cold smile to Allen’s face.

“Don’t worry about that, friend. I’ve got a lot of surprises prepared for that guy.”

I need to save Angie!

Those were the last words in his head before the consciousness that used to be stable somehow died out. The latest thing that he could recall was the image of a little kid about to get killed by a werewolf. Then, his head suddenly twinged and made his entire body tremble. It was exactly like when he fought Lord Inferno. At the second of life and death, his body started moving purely on instinct.

After that, he could not remember anything.

Also, why was he feeling like he was floating out of place right now?

Come on, was he really game over?

“...Na.” Some strange words that he could not make sense of were caught by his ears. A second later, he felt a cool breeze blowing on his face, and the numbness on his fingers started to fade away little by little.

“Na!” And the sound he was hearing started to get clearer.

A woman’s voice?

The closed eyes sleepily opened a bit, when his consciousness got back in place again. The moment the pair of his golden-brown eyes wide opened, the sunlight just hit right into them, and he needed to hold up a hand to cover them instantly.

“Ouch... my body’s hurt.” The familiar complaint came from his old habit. However, it made the ones who saw it smile happily this time.

“You’re awake!” Waree grabbed his hand and held it tight happily.

“Nam?” Wisana slowly turned to look at her pretty face, before raising an eyebrow a little. And when he looked at the other side and saw Angela staring at him, he got even more awkward now.

“Why are you two ganging up and staring at me like that? Is there something wrong with my face?”

“What are you saying? Don’t you remember why you got a blackout?” Her words clearly sounded concerned, as she was trying to help the taller one to get up.

“Blackout? No, I don’t know anything.” Wisana replied sleepily like someone who just woke up. But the girls’ eyebrows frowned tightly.

“You don’t remember anything?”

“Remember what?” The drowsy one said.

“You don’t remember anything about the king of Lycan?”
