Chapter 100: The 5th Member Part II

“What’d you say?”

“I said I stuffed it in Na’s inventory myself.”

“Moron!!” The little one yelled, making the others at the table jump. “I was going to give that item to Orn. And what were you thinking, putting it in that guy’s inventory!!?”

“Well, I didn’t know you were going to give it to this girl!” Manoch yelled back, not giving up either. “I thought you wanted him to have it for his long trip. Wasn’t it counted as the necessary he should have?!”

“The necessary your dad, Ae! That was an item for alchemist class, what would you think he could do with it?!”

“And how the heck was I supposed to know that?!”

“Be smarter!”

“You guys! Please calm down.” The same pretty girl was like a voice from heaven to stop them from fighting. She was holding hands in between them quickly. So, both sides gnarred at each other for a moment, before turning away in the opposite direction.

Aw, and I thought there was only one couple in the world who could start an argument in every situation!

Warunya thought as she was looking at her two friends who scarily had something in common with the other two. And Nuchjaree, who was sitting next to her, pointed a finger at her friend like she was saying, “I know what you’re thinking. Stop it.”

“Just calm down.” She said smilingly. “So, it means that the index of alchemy is not with you guys right now?”

“Yeah, sorry that I wasted your time,” Maysa replied with a guilty face. The other one just waved her hand left and right.

“It’s alright. You can give it to me later.” Warunya said honestly because she did not want to have the book that much. She picked the item because she was forced to pick one, anyway.

That was kind of a relief, actually. Now she could just pretend that she had forgotten about it and let Maysa’s party sell it for coins. It would be better this way because she did not participate in the boss hunting that much.

“No, no, it’s not.” The little one disagreed with a serious voice. “You’re already here. I’m going to tell Vincent to send the book through the delivery service in town for you.”

“What?!” Warunya flinched at the name Vincent that came out of Maysa’s mouth. “The index of alchemy is with Vincent now?”

“Yeah.” She said, goggling at the merchant beside her. “This guy just put it in Vincent’s inventory, while I was preparing for something else. So clumsy.”

The complaint made Manoch snort in his throat, before glancing out of the window like he did not want to waste any breath talking back anymore!

“Yeah, so please wait for a moment, I’m going to have that guy send it to you. Can I have your inventory address number...”

“It’s fine.” Warunya cut her off with a sharp voice, leaving the one who was speaking with confusion.

“I’ll get it from him in person.”

“What?” The three voices, including that of Nuchjaree, Tunwa, and Maysa, cried out in unison. But the cause of them just smiled sweetly in reply.

“Hey, I don’t think you should go,” Maysa warned with a panicked look on her face. “Didn’t I just tell you that the guy was being targeted by the hunters? It’d be very dangerous to go to him now.”

“It’s fine. I’m not afraid of them.”

“Orn, I believe you that you’re not afraid,” Nuchjaree added. “But, right now, we don’t know where and how far away your Vincent is. Also, we’re doing the vampire hunting quest at the Count’s castle, aren’t we? And why are you...”

“I’m sorry, Nuch. But I...”

Warunya replied with an uncomfortable voice another time. But when her best friend heard that, she understood how she was feeling right away. The pair of light-colored eyes looked at Tunwa for his opinion, and he just replied to her with a shrug and the usual unbothered grin.

“I don’t mind. If you want to go, then I do, too. Just make it fun, that’s all I ask.” He said, winking at Warunya.

“It’s all decided, then. We’re going to go to Vincent. Please kindly tell him that we’re coming.”

“Wait, hold on.” Maysa held up her hands to stop them. “It’s really dangerous, Orn. I’m not joking or underestimating your skills, but the hunters’ cheating programs are too dangerous.”

“It sounds like you don’t want me to see Vincent, don’t you think?” The retorting made the little one silent. And Manoch, who was sitting in the middle of them, let out a chuckle, saying.

“Ow, hit right in the heart!”

“Ae!” Maysa turned to scold, and the jerk just made an unbothered face in order to be annoying!

When the grey eyes caught the eyes of the other one sitting across from her, Maysa suddenly felt bad for her. Because the dark eyes of this girl were sparkling with the seriousness that made her heart ache somehow.

“W... well, then, let me a contact and ask Vincent about this.” She said, finally. “It’s not that I don’t want you to meet him, but I still need to ask him first, because he might get mad that I send you to such a dangerous place like that.”

“Okay.” Then, the little one gave her the driest smile, before putting her face behind the guild communication window to make a call to Wisana. It was obvious on her face that she was not so calm about this. And Manoch would not let go of such a good opportunity to mess with his friend.

“You look awful, Miss Maysa.” The deep voice nagged.

“Leave me alone.” She replied with an extremely serious tone.

“Are you really sure to let them see each other like this?”

“Why?”

“Well, isn’t she your love rival?” He asked, nodding his chin to Warunya, making the one who got teased again clench her jaws.

“Get your nose elsewhere!”

SHUNK!

“ARGH! My eyes! I’m going blind!!” And then, the annoying one was sent to struggling on the floor by an incoming shot, hitting in the eyes behind the glasses out of the blue. The punishment got Warunya’s party and everyone else in the café to look at him with pitiful and pathetic eyes.

The little gunner just snorted as she was being satisfied, before getting her attention back to the communication window. And right now, she had commanded Albert to contact Wisana already.

Why? Why did she have to feel awful about letting Warunya meet up with that moron, Wisana like this?!

Oh, that was right. She did because she was worried about the danger Warunya could possibly run into, and not because of something else.

Definitely not because of something else!

“Hey, Vincent?” The small voice greeted him when she heard the familiar voice from the other side. And of course, no one heard him, except her.

“No, not really. I just want to ask you something. Can you check in your inventory and see if there’s an item that looks like a thick brown book in there?”

She spoke and became silent for a short while before the other one replied back.

“Yeah, right. That’s the one. It’s the item that I was going to give to Orn. Yes, Ae just put it in your inventory. No, don’t worry, I just poked his eyes blind.” She finished, before smirking mockingly at Manoch who was still wriggling on the floor. “Yeah, and well, Warunya wants to go get the item from you in person. ...I did tell her that, but she said it was fine. So, what do you say? Will you allow her to go to you?”

Warunya heard Maysa’s question, and then unknowingly gulped down.

“...I told her everything, but she still insisted on seeing you in person. What else do you want me to do? ...Hm, or do you want me to stop her? It’s up to you. H ...huh? are you serious?!” Maysa frowned with displeasure instantly. Her tiny fist smashed on the table a couple of times, frustrated. “...Are you serious? It’s very dangerous, and now you’re getting her involved, too. ...Yeah, sure, just do whatever you please! So, that’s all. I’ll tell them to meet you in Dores, then! ...What? That’s your problem. Fix it yourself! You’re the guild leader, aren’t you?!”

WHUP!

Maysa burst her frustration out, before closing the communication window down, like she was hanging up the phone harshly. Her action made everyone at the table silent. It was unknown if they were speechless or just purposely gave her some time to cool off.

“Er, Maysa.” Warunya was about to start a conversation but could not because the pair of grey eyes were staring at her and made her flinch at that.

“Orn!”
