Chapter 416 416: 416. Killing intent

Outside the Secret Realm Gap.

Four Champion-level Trainers gathered, patiently waiting for Giovanni to emerge.

"Giovanni hasn't escaped, has he?" The dark-skinned, well-built man asked.

"No, he should still be inside the Secret Realm Gap," Adonis replied. "Just wait patiently."

Adonis was Emilio's father and the current patriarch of the Qi Family. Even at the advanced age of fifty-five, his physique remained formidable. Adonis had once served as an Heavenly King in the Southwest region but later retired due to age.

Before arriving, he'd already reviewed intelligence on Gigantamax Pokémon and learned that such Pokémon typically resided within Secret Realm Gaps. To capture a Gigantamax Pokémon, one had to enter the Secret Realm Gap.

However, the Underground Black Market had never discovered a method to enter these gaps, and even the person who'd provided the intelligence didn't know how he'd entered the Secret Realm Gap initially.

Among the four Champion-level Trainers present, the leader was naturally Adonis, who harbored a deep grudge against Giovanni. His ace was a Champion-level Typhlosion—his only Champion-level Pokémon. However, for this mission, he'd also brought his father's Champion-level Torkoal with the Drought Ability!

Unfortunately, at night, Torkoal's Drought Ability couldn't activate, significantly reducing its effectiveness.

The other three Champion-level Trainers were Wengu from Myanmar, fifty-five years old, dressed in a traditional Tang suit and cloth shoes with graying hair. His signature Pokémon was a Psychic-type Gothitelle with the Shadow Tag Ability. He was also one of Myanmar's power-holders!

The Ghost-type Champion-level Trainer from Java, Dick, was the youngest of the group at forty-eight years old, but sported very pronounced dark circles under his eyes, appearing somewhat sleep-deprived. His ace Pokémon were a Champion-level Trevenant and a Champion-level Palossand.

The last was the well-built man who'd spoken first, Pachart—a famous Fighting-type Trainer from Siam, fifty-three years old. His signature Pokémon was a Champion-level Blaziken, and he himself was a Fighting master in Siam.

In addition to these six Champion-level Pokémon, each Trainer also commanded two to three Heavenly King level Pokémon, totaling over a dozen Pokémon—forming an inescapable net to capture Giovanni!

Just then, the four suddenly sensed a powerful energy fluctuation that made their breath catch, as if time itself had frozen.

In an instant, the suffocating sensation vanished, and within their line of sight, a luminescent forest suddenly materialized!

The Secret Realm Gap's seal had lifted!

The four Champion-level Trainers immediately turned toward the glowing forest, their expressions grave.

In the dazzling luminescent forest, a Gigantamax Lapras—massive as a cruise ship—appeared, slowly moving across the land. Jacob sat atop Gigantamax Lapras's head, looking down at everyone present and their various Pokémon.

Observing the numerous Heavenly King and Champion-level Pokémon before him, Jacob's heart grew heavier, but his face showed no trace of fear. He addressed everyone present. "Waiting for me, I presume?"

As Jacob spoke, a figure riding a Flying-type Pokémon rapidly fled in the opposite direction.

"Don't let them escape!" Adonis's voice rang out. "Stop them!"

"Lapras, Sheer Cold!"

As Jacob's command echoed, frigid air erupted, spreading rapidly in all directions. Feeling the bone-chilling cold, everyone glanced at the Giovanni before them, then at the fleeing female figure, ultimately ordering their Pokémon to abandon pursuit and focus on dealing with Gigantamax Lapras instead.

Their target was Giovanni. As for whoever escaped—they were irrelevant. Let them flee.

The bone-chilling Ice-type energy spread like a shockwave, freezing everything in its path. All vegetation along the way transformed into ice sculptures, glistening like crystal.

Witnessing this spectacle, Adonis and the other three's expressions darkened. Although they'd long known of Gigantamax Lapras's power and made thorough preparations, confronting it directly still evoked a sense of helplessness.

However, they now commanded over a dozen Heavenly King level and above Pokémon—more than enough to handle this Lapras!

Jacob breathed a sigh of relief as he watched Raya escape safely. Her departure freed him from any reservations, allowing him to attack without restraint.

"Giovanni, surrender and reveal the secret of Gigantamax Pokémon. We might consider sparing your life."

Adonis's voice rang out, a confident smile on his face as if victory was already assured.

Hearing Adonis's words, Jacob sneered, his brows furrowed as he gazed coldly at everyone present.

He didn't recognize any of these people, but at this moment, Jacob studied each face intently, intending to clearly engrave every person's features in his memory.

If he didn't escape, fine—but if he did, they would all pay dearly for today's actions.

Although he thought this, what Jacob needed to consider first wasn't revenge, but how to break through.

Currently, most of his Pokémon were below Gym Leader level. Only Alakazam, Darkrai, Iron Valiant, and Gigantamax Lapras could participate in battle.

As for the recently captured Gigantamax Hatterene and Gigantamax Grimmsnarl, they wouldn't obey his commands yet, and they'd already fainted during the previous battle, so naturally they couldn't join the fight.

Alakazam's Heavenly King-level strength was somewhat insufficient against a group of Heavenly King and Champion-level Pokémon. Darkrai had also been critically injured in the previous battle, and even after Cresselia's healing, its injuries hadn't fully recovered.

Finally, Jacob's trusted partner Iron Valiant, due to its distinctive identity, couldn't be revealed in this battle.

Therefore, Jacob could currently rely solely on Gigantamax Lapras.

Could one Gigantamax Lapras contend against six Champion-level Pokémon and nearly ten pseudo-Champion level Pokémon—on land, no less?

Jacob's heart felt heavy.

Should he use the Lunar Wing given by Cresselia to call for help? But would she respond and descend into the real world?

Jacob shook his head. Rather than placing hope in an uncertain deity, Jacob preferred to trust his own Pokémon.

He never placed his fate in others' hands!

Perhaps because the threat of death loomed in his mind, Jacob's face instead broke into a smile. The more critical the moment, the less one could display fear or panic.

"Just you lot? Make me surrender?" Jacob chuckled, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

Life was never obtained by kneeling and begging—it was earned through one's own strength.

"Still talking tough when death is at your doorstep. I'd like to see if you can maintain that attitude later! Take him down! Try to capture him alive, but if it's truly impossible, then kill him!" Adonis's voice rang out as he commanded his Pokémon to attack!
