This was a warning, and then she turned around, dragging her suitcase, and left without looking back.

Ji Jingfeng clenched his fists tightly, glaring at Ji Anning’s upright back, dignified and silent. He was holding back a bellyful of fire, yet he had to suppress it.

There was a boat on the island, but it only took orders from the old master, so when Ji Anning decided to return, she had already called the old master.

The old man was so happy to hear that she wanted to come back; he immediately had a yacht waiting for her at the dock.

But Ji Anning didn’t expect the old master to personally wait for her at Hai City’s dock.

The old man was dressed in a black coat, wearing gold-framed glasses, standing on the tall stone-carved fish to the right of the dock, facing the sea breeze, a kind smile hanging on his face, looking spirited.

Ji Anning thought she was seeing things and rubbed her eyes several times. When she was sure it was him, her jaw almost dropped in astonishment.

"Grandfather."

She called out in surprise, and it was unexpectedly loud and affectionate.

As soon as the boat docked, she immediately jumped off and walked toward the old man, still wearing a face full of astonishment.

She walked a bit fast, and the old master reminded her with concern, "Take it easy."

Ji Anning was really curious and couldn’t help asking, "Why have you come? Are you here to see me for some reason?"

She subconsciously thought that the old man had come to the dock specially to talk to her, which surely meant there was something important.

Could he have found out about her and the uncle?

The old master said indifferently, "I had some errands to run this afternoon and was about to head back to the company. I passed by here and thought I’d pick you up on the way."

"?" Ji Anning raised her eyebrows in surprise, blinked, and asked with confusion, "Then aren’t you supposed to be going to the company?"

She still found it very strange; the old man never did anything just because it was ’on the way.’ To come to meet her personally and even wait outside his car for her, that kind of treatment was probably reserved only for his young son.

So what was really going on?

Had the old man discovered something?

But if he had discovered it, he should have been furious and driven her out of the Ji Family immediately, yet his attitude towards her had taken a complete three hundred and sixty-degree turn for the better recently.

"Let’s go," said the old man, after giving her a deep look, then he turned and walked ahead.

She waited for him to take a few steps before she started walking.
