Omnipotent Husband System

Chapter 589: Demons & Dragon.

Chapter 589: Demons & Dragon.

Hao Ren walked past the blood pond, and he found that the place had returned to the similar barren landscape. This was something that caused him to frown, he was wondering that the place would be filled with a lot of spots similar to the blood pond, just then he noticed something that he had missed earlier, his Snake tattoo was no longer burning, it was getting colder with every step that he took. This was wrong, usually, if he was about to reach the location where their was Naga race members, he would have felt more heat in his hand and not cold.

Thinking about he stopped walking, and turned around to go back in the same direction. When he reached the blood pond, the heat from his hand was increasing again. The corner of his mouth was twitching and suddenly he thought, ’Could it be that this blood was drawn by Demons to be used as a cultivation resource? Whom did this blood belong to?’

*Good, you are on the right track. Check and see whom this blood belongs to.*

Hao Ren crouched down next to the shore of the pond, and then he took out a silver needle from the space ring and then dipped it inside the blood pond, only to find that the silver needle melted the moment it came into contact with the blood. He frowned and said, "This thing is so destructive. How is it even possible for such a thing to exist?"

Just then the blood bubbled and a drop from the bubble flew off and fell on Hao Ren’s hand. The next instant, he sensed a subtle heat in his skin, and the Snake Tattoo was basically burning as if someone has poured lava on his arm. Hao Ren was shocked, he had no idea what to do, and just then some thoughts began to originate in his mind.

It was nothing chaotic, it was just a simple, ’Kill’

This simple word was echoing in his mind, at first it was slow, and then it grew louder and louder. Within a few minutes, Hao Ren was on the ground with his eyes filled with red marks of the capillaries and his body was covered with sweat as he mumbled, "Kill, kill, kill, kill!"

This was a chant and while he was trying hard to stop it he was unable to do anything at all. Just then the image of the two children and his wife appeared in his mind. He tried to erase the image by moving his hands against the ground and wiping it clean, but the drop of blood that was sitting on his forearm got brushed away by a pebble, and Hao Ren fell to the ground.

He was exhausted, this battle to protect his consciousness, left him exhausted, not physically or spiritually but mentally. His soul sea was a mess, the once a wonderful space was the epitome of destruction and chaos. Hao Ren lay on his back on the ground, and he was gazing blankly in the distance as he tried to catch his breath but today it took a long time for him to regain his bearing. Hao Ren took a deep breath and only after an hour did he manage to stand up on his feet and said, "Damn it, I almost thought I was going to die today."

*You thought so? I was already rolling the self detonation countdown. Given your strength if you go out of this place, it would be chaos for the humans living out there.*

Hao Ren nodded, he had no doubt about it, he said, "Let me recompose myself before we try to think what is going on here."

Then he closed his eyes and cycled his spiritual energy through his body the whole process was slow but it was careful, Hao Ren wanted to find out if that baleful energy had left any harm in his system. After confirming that he was fine and that there was no residue left behind he sighed and after ten minutes, he opened his eyes.

Then he turned to look at the pond and asked, "What should we do now? As I get close to this place the snake tattoo burns, and also, I have a feeling that the level of my third halo has gone up."

*How about you check it* said the system.

Hao Ren nodded and invoked his third halo, and indeed, the thing was glowing red as if it was a scarlet rose. It was almost turning solid, and Hao Ren himself felt uneasy looking at the pressure from it. He looked at the pond and said, "I am sure that there is something buried under that pond and that is what these demon pups were looking for."

*Fine then, burn it.*

Hao Ren rolled his eyes and cursed, "Fucking loser, you were the one who were preaching the rules of physics to me just now, and here you are trying to act all in support and stuff. Believe me if you ever come out in a human shape, I am beating you till your soul dies."

The system stayed silent and just watched Hao Ren use his Nirvana Flames to cause the Blood to evaporate. However, the blood was not something that could be evaporated that quickly. This task was tedious and Hao Ren intended to finish it no matter how long it took. He stood there with his back straight and hands extended as the flames gushed out from his palms and the temperature of the blood pond began to rise higher with every passing moment.

After a few minutes, the first patch started to evaporate. The whole pond of blood was so thick that it was like a jelly. Hao Ren didn’t have the luxury to stop even for a bit so that he could check the situation. The moment he stopped or reduced the pressure, the destructive energy in the blood churned and tried to attack him. It was as if the pond was awake and it had intelligence.

After seven or eight hours, Hao Ren managed to remove the blood completely and it left a deep crater on the ground. The crater was around twenty meters deep, and in the center of the crater was a black stone. This stone had a sheen similar to obsidian but the destructive energy radiating from the stone was causing the void to fold in itself. This was something that Hao Ren had not expected.

He gradually and cautiously walked closer to the stone, from up close it looked like a finger. Hao Ren furrowed his brows and shook his head thinking he was just seeing a bit too much in the place. However, then he quickly took a few steps back, the bone emitted the similar energy like that of the blood that fell on his forehand right now. This was something crazy, and too coincidental. Just when he was thinking about it the picture of the demons he killed outside flashed in his mind. He gulped and asked, "Big guy, do you think this pillar is actually a bone of a highly ranked Demon?"

The system replied, *I think, what you said is true. It is indeed a bone of a high level demon, but the size is a bit too much.*

Hao Ren frowned and began to retreat as he sensed the energy spreading around rapidly. He began to run and said, "I think we fucked up. That blood must have been holding it’s power back, and now that this thing is spreading the destructive energy again, this natural array would not last for a long time."

As Hao Ren was running he suddenly noticed that his right arm was glowing. He kept running in the direction opposite to the pond, and the light from the tattoo increased to the brightest it could get. It was akin to a sun on his arm. After a few kilometers, Leo found himself standing before the skeleton of a fallen dragon. The fact that shocked him the most was that even though the dragon had fallen for time unknown its body had hardly changed.

Just when he was about to get close he froze because the dragon had opened its eyes. The eyes as deep as the black holes with the light bending around on the event horizon looked at Hao Ren as if they were going to swallow his soul as well. His hair were standing on their ends, his body was shaking and he had not idea what to do, even his breathing had stopped for a second. The dragon looked at him for a few minutes, and said, "Good."

The voice was deep but it was without any malice. The dragon said, "Since you have come here, it means that you have fate with me. The small art work on your arm, that should be the blessing of the Naga bloodline, they are the descendants of my King, His Holiness, The Eternal Dragon. That is why you managed to locate me."

Hao Ren took a deep breath, and then he bowed his head and cupped his fist as he said, "Hao Ren greets Senior Dragon."
