Chapter 586: Arrival.

Hao Ren left the entire planning for city map to Xiao Mei and got busy with designing a compound array, an array that could combine two or more functions together was called a compound array, and Xiao Mei had suggested that they use this array, because it would save them some trouble of spending the spiritual stones in case of any demon attack.

This array would be able to redirect the energy it received from the attacks and push it back to the demons. However, to make sure this energy harms the demons and not just end up being a black shell, Hao Ren decided to go ahead with something that was called the conversion array. This would change the nature of the energy from demon attack or any other attack into the opposite nature.

Hao Ren and the rest of the people focused on their work with diligence and on the inside of the city, Xiao Mei was moving the worker bots with great efficiency, and the city was being rebuilt from the ground up. Using the merit points they had they managed to turn the circular city outlet into a triangle by expanding the city into three points. The old city became the inner city while the three points became the military office. The people who were going out to fight would be staying in those three places to respond to all and any attacks that may take place, and they were also going to be the checkposts for new arrivals into the city and exits for the people who wished to go out and fight.

After a week, the barren land had not only a fully functional city but also a floating palace, that hovered above the central square of the city. It was not very big and lavish like the Crescent Moon Palace, but it was good enough to make people envy the Floating Moon City. The palace seemed to be sitting atop a blooming lotus. This lotus was actually the flight control deck, it was manned by the robots that Xiao Mei had brought over. They could control all the systems without any human help.

The only thing that humans could do in the city was to either contribute to the forces or be the forces. All the corps and city management was overseen by a network of sophisticated puppets. They could recognize the commands of people based on the jade token given to them. The foreign guests would just envy the city if they managed to gain access.

After fifteen days, Xiao Mei declared that the whole city is now functional and that Hao Ren could bring people from the Crescent Moon Empire back over. The terran was sitting in the garden on the floating deck and he nodded. He said, "Xiao Mei, take a command."

Xiao Mei was surprised, it had been a long time since Hao Ren had given her any command and she replied, "Awaiting Command, Boss."

Hao Ren said, "Incase the city is attacked and the arrays fail, make sure that the kids don’t get caught it in."

Xiao Mei was surprised and after confirming the acceptance of the command she asked, "Boss, I have never seen you in doubt. What is going on?"

Hao Ren sighed and shook his head before he said, "I have a feeling that this world is hiding a secret bigger than anything we can imagine. I will be investigating this matter when the time comes and so I want to make sure that the children stay safe. I know that Lingshi will not leave me alone, as their are people who can look after the children, so we need to be prepared for anything and everything."

Xiao Mei nodded and said, "I will see to it, don’t worry."

Hao Ren then stood up and walked to the inner part of the floating palace where he placed the window shard on a window and then just waited for a few moments before appearing inside the Imperial bedroom, he noticed that Han Lingshi was standing beside the wide open window and her hair were fluttering in the wind. She smiled faintly as she sensed his arrival and then asked softly, "Did you finish the city construction so soon?"

Hao Ren nodded and replied, "It was not me, but Xiao Mei, she has done really good. What about you, are you ready to go over?"

Han Lingshi nodded and then replied, "Yes, I am ready but we will not be taking the kids with us."

Hao Ren frowned and Han Lingshi said, "Ma has put down her foot, she scolded me for even thinking to take children into the battle ridden world with a low level of spiritual energy. She said it would be detrimental for their growth."

The young man nodded and said, "She is not wrong, and what about Meimei? Would she be coming?"

Han Lingshi nodded and said, "Third generation of Ye Generals have taken oath and they are all World Realm experts now, so we can take the rest of the fighting forces with us. Some of the high level herbalists have expressed their wish to accompany us, because a few days ago, they all discovered an affect where the spiritual herbs can improve the quality of the spiritual energy in the surroundings, so they wish to aid us in research and positive terra forming. I wanted to agree, but then I thought of asking you. What do you think?"

Hao Ren nodded and replied, "It is a good thing, do call them over, and also Xiao Mei will be conducting some research by sending out high level probes and see if we can open a long distance teleportation array, that would be way better than depending on the treasure that I have. After all, it is a shard of the mirror, if it falters, we all might get dragged into the space tunnels and die."

Han Lingshi nodded, she was aware that such a thing while effective didn’t come with a guarantee of maintaining the balance of the space tunnels, and thinking about that she shivered, it was a good thing that they were not taking the children with them. After a few minutes, discussing about the situation and how to arrange the people to go over, the two of them gave out some commands and the people who were going to go over, were assembled in the administration wing, and with a few minutes, a new glass door was placed inside one of the buildings. The people moved one by one, and they were quick about it. Because they could not handle the aura radiating from Hao Ren and Han Lingshi.

Although the two of them had reeled in their presence completely, the respect that the normal people had for the Emperor and the Empress was too much for them to raise their heads and lock eyes with them.

After a few minutes, everyone finished moving and then Hao Ren extended his hand toward Han Lingshi, and the lady took it with a smile on her face, then they moved in. Hao Mei shook her head at the two of them and said, "Ma, Xiaoling has made a booboo again."

Tang Zhen sighed from the side and said, "This little goblin, she is very naughty. Look how she laughs after making a booboo."

Yanling heard this and giggled while moving her hands and legs.

On the other side of the tunnel, when Hao Ren and Han Lingshi appeared, Ye Lan had already sent the people away. She said, "Big Brother, Sister-in-law what now?"

Hao Ren said, "Xiao Mei has some places, they can follow her arrangements as for the rest, you can handle it on your own. Though everyone needs to go through a process of registration with the Eternal Battlefield list. I will come over in a bit and handle that. Have them rest and tell them the rules of the city till then."

Ye Lan nodded and left the main hall of the palace. Hao Ren removed the glass shard and gave it to Han Lingshi and said, "I will ask for it when we need to go back once a day to handle the children."

Han Lingshi nodded and then stored the shard away in her space ring, then Hao Ren led her outside. They descended from the palace and came to the central square, where the young man said, "Everyone, gather around please."

The people came over and Hao Ren said, "You see this stone? Mark it with a drop of your blood and you will have registered a connection with the eternal battlefield. This would later become the mean for you to exchange your merit points and gain the resources that would help you grow stronger. Also, if you have any doubt, you can find a Ye General to guide you with cultivation. The system from the Crescent Moon Empire would continue here. Any objections?"

The people shook their heads and replied, "No, Your Excellency!"

Hao Ren nodded and just then he heard a voice in his ear, "Boss, there is a demon tide several hundred kilometer away and they are proceeding over here. Thirty thousand of them."
