The people nodded and Jana said, "It is coming from the west. These demons must be thinking that a treasure appeared in this land."
Hao Ren nodded and replied, "That if fine, I am the treasure of death for them. It is only right for them to rush toward me."
The people chuckled and then the young man reached out and grabbed the sword that has fallen on the ground, and checked it carefully before he said, "Ye Jian, lend me a sword, my blade would need to be repaired before I can use it again without damaging the sword spirit inside it."
Ye Jian nodded and took out a high level spiritual treasure blade from his space ring. This man was not just the sword saint, but he was also a maniac who loved to collect various nicely refined swords. At any given moment, he had enough blades at his disposal to equip a small army of thousand people. Hao Ren inspected the weapon and then he nodded in satisfaction before he turned around to say, "I will head out and consolidate my cultivation."
Jana nodded and then Hao Ren vanished from his place, Ye Jian said, "You kids stay here, the enemy is a army of Demon Generals."
The juniors nodded and then the Ye Generals followed Hao Ren with Jana beside them. They all had also made some growth in their cultivation level but it was not as exaggerated like Hao Ren. They have all stepped in the heavenly general realm, but when Hao Ren was in the heavenly soldier realm, without breaking through he could take down dozens of Demon Generals when he visited the demon city gain some merit points and they were curious to find out what he was up to now.

In the distance the great demon army was charging toward Hao Ren and the ruins of the city. They were all fast, and loud, as the army closed in, the ground was shaking, and that's when they spotted Hao Ren, rushing towards them with a longsword in his hands. Some chuckled and some scoffed thinking that this young man was seeking death, but when Hao Ren was just hundred meter away from them, he used his movement technique and instantly appear two meters away from the front of the demon army. His blade flashed and the first attack itself decapitated the demon by slicing through his neck.
That was not all, even the monsters in the background were not spared. Dozens fell as Hao Ren attacked them without holding back. His pace and intention to kill began to soar, and the demons kept falling down. They tried all the means they could muster up but as someone strong once said, 'I the face of absolute strength, no trick worked.'
Hao Ren didn't hold back he was actually venting out to push out some of the baleful and destructive energy that was still clinging onto his body. The system did redirect most of it but some of it was still stuck to his organs. The young man was gathering that energy in his attacks and flinging it out. This battle gave Hao Ren another idea for the rune that he needed to carve on the halo. Destruction, how to extract this destructive force from the nature?
As he fought he pondered and gradually he began to realize what this destructive force was based upon. The energy in the world was divided in two parts, one was positive, that originated from the heaven and earth and the other was negative which originated from the emotions of humans. They were like the two elements that balanced the equation, the Yin and Yang.
Hao Ren quickly moved into action, he understood why people fell into the unrecoverable pit of darkness, because they were constantly tapping into the negative aspects of their humanity that it caught them by the neck. The allure of power they found from harvesting these dark thoughts and changing them into energy it was very high and such was the descent into madness.
Hao Ren looked at the demons that he was fighting at the moment and then it clicked to him, these demons were also senselessly slaughtering whatever came in their path. They only worshipped the people who had manifested the aura of slaughter into a crown or something. The more Hao Ren thought the more obscure his thoughts became, and he couldn't help but think if these demons were also at some point humans who tried to extract these dark emotions and lost themselves to it.
*Wow, such a rich imagination, are you trying to make your brain explode? Punk!*
Hao Ren replied, 'I have no time for you at the moment.'

Hao Ren was stunned for a moment and then he got punched in the side, this sparked up his rage and he forgo the sword only to clench his fists and fight head on, his fists caused the demons to explode into bloody mist. Hao Ren yelled, 'You read it somewhere? In my dreams? You ghostly ass thing.'

Hao Ren scoffed, and said, 'So, what now? Sit down and wait for the other runes to conjure up and imprint themselves on the Halo on their own?'

Hao Ren gave up on arguing and also on thinking too much about this situation he took the battle seriously and his skills began to appear once again. He was fast and decisive in his actions. The Ye Generals were fighting and were beginning to feel stressed however, when Hao Ren began to hold back and slaughtered demons left and right, the pressure began to lessen up, and they also gained some quick kills. The team work of the Ye Generals was seamless.
The disciples and Jana who were watching from the side were going crazy, they didn't expect their masters to have such a sync. These people were like meat grinder, and the demons were being minced. Hao Ren was like the one crucial cog that made this killing battery move fast and kill faster. This was the initial idea when Hao Ren trained them all back when they were kids and now armed with the power of intents, they were crazy killers.
The demon force had a few thousand in numbers, however, under Hao Ren and his people, the numbers reduced quickly. The whole situation caused the Demons to feel scared, they didn't know why but they were genuinely scared of this group of humans. This was the first time they felt like this, it was not something that should have happened, after all, they were demons, the most terrifying existences in the Eternal Battlefield, yet here they were, getting cold feet because a bunch of humans managed to move freely among their fray.
Suddenly, one of the demons who was following the forces, yelled, "Retreat! Report to Commander!"
The demons decided to pull back, but Hao Ren was not going to let this happened. He pinched his fingers and a sharp sword intent shot through the void ripping it apart and killing that demon who shouted, and he yelled, "Any one who retreats, I will kill you and make sure have your skulls pinned to the walls of a human city!"
Hao Ren used his heavenly voice to create the resonance and stun the demons, the Ye Generals all charged up to the extreme and made a charge. After three hours of continuous battle, they cleared up the demons.
