Chapter 1475 793: Beat the Little One (Part 2)

Chapter 1475 793: Beat the Little One (Part 2)

Judging by its behavior pattern, it's likely just a small creature under control, and this thing is very aggressive. If it really is the cause of the problems with Mary and the others, theoretically, it shouldn't be just two or three people, right? With such aggressiveness, even if the attack power isn't enough, it couldn't possibly be only a few people.

Jimmy pondered while tidying his clothes. His suit and pants were almost done for, not just with grass stains and mud, but also the vigorous activity had stretched the seams connecting the sleeves and the suit. The lining was also torn, a heavy loss. He simply took off the suit and placed it on the ground, then approached the tree again.

The intense movement just now had Jimmy completely warmed up. He stared at the tree in front of him and shouted to Cage in the distance: "Cage, how long until Father Royte arrives?"

Cage shouted back, "About ten minutes, he's already left the city area." However, he only shouted and did not approach Jimmy's position. He clearly understood his role very well; Cage had no way of dealing with such chaotic matters, and not adding trouble for Jimmy was already a contribution.

Ten minutes wasn't long. Jimmy stared at the tree in front of him, pondering whether to wait a bit. If he couldn't find the main entity, even if he forced out another mist snake from it, it would be in vain. Moreover, Father Royte is an exorcist priest who can directly perform a purification ceremony on the tree. Perhaps under such stimulation, the master of the mist snake would be forced out.

Father Royte arrived quickly, obviously speeding on the way, though it was unknown why there wasn't a police car chasing after him. Perhaps he was lucky enough not to encounter patrol officers, or maybe the officers gave him a pass, allowing him to slip away.

Jimmy stood not far from the tree, waiting. Father Royte, carrying his box, got out of the car and walked directly to Jimmy, "Jimmy, what have you discovered?"

Jimmy: "Father, this tree has a problem. I just eliminated a snake formed of mist that came out from this tree."

Father Royte opened the box, took out a sheathed dagger, and inserted it into the wide belt, then took out a Bible and a Holy Water Bottle, "Are you sure it's this tree?"

Jimmy: "Yes, it's this. I heard some sounds here before, and later Cage encountered the same situation as Mary, so we came back to confirm this tree."

Father Royte approached the tree while reciting a prayer: "Heavenly Father, Almighty Creator, I humbly seek your guidance and protection in your holy presence.

I ask that you grant me courage and wisdom, and with the fire of the Holy Spirit, cleanse this space, leaving no place for the Evil Spirit to hide.

Holy water purifies, Holy salt guards, Holy light shines, may the power of love and truth be manifest here.

In the name of the Saint Heir, Jesus Christ, I command all Evil Spirits to leave this being and return to where you belong."

Jimmy hadn't expected Father Royte to start immediately, thinking he would investigate first. He quickly assumed a combat stance, staying alert. Father Royte was indeed impulsive, giving Jimmy no time to prepare and directly starting his purification ceremony.

The piercing "squeak..." sound rang again, only this time, the opponent was evidently prepared, dispersing into mist again after only one or two seconds, forming another mist mass, though it seemed slightly smaller than the first time.

"By the authority of the Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, I command you, filthy soul, leave this being and return to where you belong."

Father Royte didn't stop, continuing to recite the prayer despite the piercing squeak, using his fingers to unscrew the Holy Water Bottle's cap and splashed some holy water onto the tree.

The situation now was unlike before when Jimmy had been fighting the mist snake alone since the squeaking had nearly stopped as the mist snake appeared. However, despite the mist forming a snake shape now, the annoying squeak didn't stop. Clearly, Father Royte's exorcism ceremony was effective, though it meant he couldn't attack or evade the mist snake now.

Jimmy immediately approached Father Royte and launched an attack on the mist snake charging towards him. Having gained experience and with his body warmed up from earlier activity, the mist snake never reached Father Royte before Jimmy dissipated it into mist.

"By the authority of the Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, I command you, filthy soul, leave this sacred creation!

By the blood of Jesus Christ, I rebuke you, return to the abyss, never to harm humans again.

The Holy Spirit descends, Holy Fire burns, incinerating all shadows and restoring light.

The Holy Word is the sword, faith is the shield, by the name of eternal love and the Supreme God, I sever your power.

Evil Spirit, follow God's will, I rebuke you, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, leave immediately! Amen."

As Father Royte recited the prayer and continued to splash holy water, a black mist suddenly emerged from the tree, darker than the previous mist, quickly forming a large snake. Its body was larger, and its head, unlike a traditional snake's with a snout, bore a wide gaping mouth like a cavern, with its tail entwined around the tree and its head lunging towards Father Royte's head.

Jimmy finally saw what he had hoped was the main body. When the black mist formed into a snake, a white spot appeared on its head that Jimmy had awaited for a long time. He released the dagger from his right hand, pulled out his revolver, and fired three shots at the black snake's head. The black mist dissipated upon impact, sparing Father Royte from being bitten by the mist snake.

The screeching sound persisted, but though the black mist had dissipated, it didn't disappear completely but reformed into a snake shape at the trunk, tail still wrapped around the tree, this time its head targeted Jimmy. Jimmy fired the remaining three bullets at its head, once again shattering it.

Jimmy returned the Exorcism Badge from his left hand to his pocket and reloaded his revolver, drawing another revolver and aiming at the tree.

Father Royte's voice was altered, the high-pitched noise was truly nauseating, and even though Father Royte was relatively tolerant, he still couldn't withstand the body's natural reactions.

Suddenly, Father Royte stumbled forward, and "bang," Jimmy quickly shot at the ground by Father Royte's feet. A black mist had appeared there attacking him, and Jimmy had been focused on the trunk, never expecting an underground assault on Father Royte.

With Father Royte's prayer interrupted, the black mist at the trunk gathered again, this time targeting Jimmy, lunging directly at him.

The larger size of the black mist gave it less agility compared to the previous smaller snake, and Jimmy didn't wait for it to reach his side. He focused on the snake's head and nearby weak points, firing continuously, emptying both revolvers into it. Trapped in the smoke, the black snake was unprepared to face someone like Jimmy, the bullets tearing through it, disrupting the smoke, and its originally solid form was shattered from the head down, even the tail wrapped around the tree was severed.

Jimmy quickly cleared the shells and reloaded new bullets, but the black mist didn't form back into solid form to attack again like previous times. Instead, it took the form of a black mist cluster and flew into the sky, drifting northwest.

This situation far exceeded Jimmy's expectations. He fired several shots at the black mist cluster in the sky, scattering much of the mist, but it still managed to escape, disappearing beyond Jimmy's Heart Eye Vision range.

"Fuck!" Jimmy cursed, holstering the right-hand revolver and reaching out to help Father Royte up.
