Before the due date, Jimmy and Nia had already visited North Mountain Medical Center to tour and learn about the delivery facilities and procedures. Nia underwent a complete examination, including checking the baby's heart rate, then it was just a matter of waiting.

During Nia's check-up, Jimmy also attended a special medical training session. North Mountain Medical Center encourages husbands to participate during their wives' childbirth. When Nia felt regular contractions, Jimmy immediately notified his in-laws and drove Nia directly to North Mountain Medical Center, checking into the pre-booked delivery room.

The waiting in the delivery room is the most anxious, but luckily the medical team here is excellent. The doctors and nurses repeatedly explained their current state to them, which significantly eased Jimmy and Nia's nervousness.

Kevin and his wife arrived at the hospital, but only Jimmy, dressed in sterile attire, accompanied them in the delivery room, while they waited outside.

As contractions intensified, the obstetricians and nurses also entered a tense moment, constantly encouraging Nia to push, while Jimmy tightly held Nia's hand and occasionally assisted the nurses in wiping the sweat off Nia's face.

After hours of effort, their baby, a healthy boy, was finally born. The doctors immediately placed the baby on Nia's chest for skin-to-skin contact, allowing Nia to see her child immediately.

"Nia, look, our baby..." Jimmy excitingly wanted to reach out but restrained himself.

The baby was taken by doctors for cleaning and examination. Jimmy went to the window to nod at Kevin and his wife outside, then returned to Nia's side.

The baby was soon brought back. Jimmy and Nia spent a precious golden hour, having their first intimate contact with the little baby while the nurse assisted Nia in trying to breastfeed for the first time.

Nia, exhausted, held the baby, her smile never fading as she looked at Jimmy, "His name..."

Jimmy turned to glance outside the window, where Kevin and his wife were standing and watching the delivery room, "They're still outside, let's wait for them."

Nia was moved to the postpartum recovery room, where Kevin and his wife could finally contact her. Upon learning that Jimmy and Nia hadn't reported the baby's name, Kevin looked at Jimmy, "Jimmy, the baby's name..."

Jimmy glanced at Nia and said to Kevin, "We want to seek your opinion. I've named him Liam."

Kevin: "I have no objections; you're the baby's father, the naming right is yours."

Jimmy nodded, "Also, I want to use Miller as his middle name."

Kevin was surprised by this; he turned to look at Nia, who also looked shocked. Jimmy had discussed the baby's name with him before but never mentioned the middle name. Kevin couldn't help but raise his voice, "Really? Are you sure?"

Jimmy nodded to Kevin, then looked at Nia, "Sorry, I didn't discuss it with you before, I hope..."

Jimmy was interrupted by Kevin who hugged him tightly, excitedly patting Jimmy's back, obviously Jimmy didn't need to continue speaking.

Kevin turned to look at Nia and the baby beside her, "Liam Miller Yong, my grandson, I'm... so happy."

Jimmy patted Kevin, and Kevin released Jimmy, although his excitement still made him feel slightly shaky. This surprise came unexpectedly; Nia is his only daughter, and now his grandson has inherited his surname, even if only as a middle name, which makes him very excited.

Nia stayed at the medical center for just three days. The healthcare team closely monitored her and baby Liam's health status while educating her on how to care for a newborn, including feeding, changing diapers, bathing, and a series of subsequent activities she would have to do, as well as her future dietary knowledge. Jimmy needed to learn these too, since there were some things he would have to do and learn as well.

After doctors confirmed that Nia and baby Liam were in good health, they prepared to go home. When Jimmy and his family arrived home, Kevin and the others had already arranged a simple welcome ceremony as congratulations for the new life entering home. Not only Kevin's family was present, surprisingly also Priest Rodney, Dave, Ruiz, and others were there, although they didn't know how they had gotten the news as Jimmy had completely forgotten to notify them in the past few days.

Nia and the baby made a simple appearance before returning to the prepared bedroom, while Jimmy chatted happily with others in the house, the atmosphere was very warm.

Priest Rodney asked about the baby's name, and upon learning it was Liam, he nodded: "Liam, the firm Protector, that's a good name."

Of course, there was one more thing he didn't say. The Miller family's ancestors are from Britain, and now giving an Irish name Uilliam also feels appropriate. At least, they didn't give a purely Chinese name, which already met their expectations to a certain extent.
