My Mage System (BL)

Chapter 750: Welcome back, boys!

Chapter 750: Welcome back, boys!

They had two options to use their Trinium weapons: they could use small spells like water balls, lightning arrows, and wind blades, or they could unleash devastating spells, but those required more time to cast.

As Alexander wielded a sword, it was he who cast the devastating spell. While Yelena kept the God-level 3 warrior busy with her wind blades infused with chakra, Alexander charged his sword with his chakra to launch a rain of ice spikes at their opponent, and it worked.

When Alexander sent his signal to Yelena and Chris, Yelena withdrew far from the God-level 3 warrior, while Chris used a more powerful spell to prevent the warrior from fleeing the zone of impact.

The God-level 3 warrior received over a hundred ice spikes, and his life bar decreased rapidly until it reached zero.

After launching the spell, Alexander collapsed on the ground, a big smile on his face—they had done it!

Then, they all received a notification from the system’s tower:

[Congratulations on passing the trial of the ninth floor. All your basic stats increase permanently by 40 points, and your energy reserve increases by 4,000 points.]

[To advance to the tenth floor, you need to have an energy reserve of 100,000 points.]

Even with the 5x boost from Yelena, if Miguel hadn’t given them some accessories to boost their energy reserves, they couldn’t have made it to the tenth floor, even after winning the trial of the ninth floor.

Fortunately, they would get the chance to experience it for themselves.

Julian was relieved to have listened to Chris because if they had stopped when he hesitated, they would have missed the chance to understand what a huge battle meant. Only by facing what awaited them on the tenth floor could they prepare for the upcoming war.

Just as Julian’s group was entering the tenth floor, Kevin, Axel, and Willow finally returned.

Once back in their home world, they first went to meet with Elias, even though Kevin wanted to meditate and become a Priest as soon as possible. Miguel wasn’t there at the moment; Elias told them that he had gone to check on the other future Priest, but he was glad they came to meet him first.

He informed them that he had a mission for them and brought them into one of the gravity rooms used for training new fighters who had joined them.

Kevin was elated when he saw his elite shadow team that he once commanded. Ten members were present this time, and Elias told him that even though they hadn’t reached level 200 yet, they had been trained by both him and Kevin, so they were more qualified than most of the fighters who had joined them.

Their mission was to ensure they would be ready for the upcoming war, and the best way to improve rapidly was to bring them to the towers. With Axel and Kevin, the shadow team would have a very clear view of what the upcoming war would look like, as the tenth floor would be very realistic.

As Kevin hesitated to go train with them in the tower, Elias encouraged him to go, assuring him that he was very close to becoming a Priest. To reassure him further, Elias mentioned that the next day he could meditate all day long if he wanted, but for this first training session in the tower, he wanted him to lead them in order for Axel to familiarize himself with the shadow team and their levels.

Elias had planned to place the shadow team under their command alongside the Shapeshifters and demons of their world, so Axel would take care of them while Kevin worked on breaking through to become a Priest.

After he achieved that, he would become their team leader. Together with Axel, they would need to ensure that humans, Shapeshifters, and demons could work well together as an elite team for the upcoming war; that was their priority mission.

As for Willow, she followed her dads. After all, she was a Divine creature, and she had finally broken through to God level 4 just a few hours ago. Her growth was unprecedented, and even though they would have preferred to keep her safe, Willow was an asset they could no longer ignore. Moreover, they needed her psychic power to quickly pass through the seventh floor of this tower.

It wasn’t that Kevin doubted his men would be able to break through the illusion by themselves, but for those who had been tortured or had seen friends die before their eyes, this floor was particularly painful, as it brought back memories that everyone would prefer to forget.

To ensure that they maintained a perfect mindset for the last floors, it was better to pass the seventh one smoothly.

When they arrived at the tower that Elias had told them to go to, Iris was there, watching the last floor with a smile on her face.

Without giving them a glance, she said, "Welcome back, boys, and my sweet Willow, of course. Don’t worry; the tower will soon be available. Julian’s group has been inside the tenth floor for 30 minutes now. They will be expelled soon!"

Kevin and Axel’s eyes widened, and Kevin exclaimed, "The tenth floor? But how?"

Iris replied, "Julian’s group is very special; Yelena and Chris are with him, along with some other promising fighters and mages. They all used a combined energy attack, and even I didn’t expect them to go that far on their first try."

Axel could feel Kevin’s surprise through their link, and he too was doubtful. They had experienced this tower themselves, so they knew how difficult it was to climb to the last floor. "Very impressive!"

Kevin was about to ask Iris more questions, as she seemed to be in charge of them, but a portal appeared just above them, and a fighter fell from it. Axel caught him before he hit the ground. Soon after, a few more portals appeared, and Kevin helped them land safely using wind particles.
