Fever and Cold

(Nikki P.O.V)

*In Dream*

I was walking in the garden in not knowing where I am going, I just keep following my instinct and keep walking when I heard a familiar voice, talking with a feminine voice and I follow the voice and saw, Trevor is talking with the beautiful lady wearing a white long dress, which is matching her white hair and his wolf Leo is sitting beside him and, they are having a cup of tea.

"Trevor," I shout his name and run towards him. He put his cup on the table and stand up from his seat, he takes me in his arms and hugs me. I put my head on his neck and started crying in his arms.

"Oh, Trevor," I shutter his name while crying and nuzzling his neck.

"Why did you leave? I miss you so much," I said with hick-ups and wiping my face with his shirt.

"I am so sorry, little one, but I don't have any choice, that bloodsucker had attacked me and killed me before I can do anything," he said while caressing my back.

"I will leave you guys to give you so privacy," the woman said and walks out from there.

"I am happy that you are okay and safe with Cole, I can leave in peace now," he said with a smile on his face.

"Is there any way for you to come back to us?" I ask with a hiccup.

"No," he said shaking his head and I broke down in his arms again unable to stop myself.

"It's all my fault if I haven't left your side to go with your friend you would be in the packhouse with us, I am sorry," I said looking at him.

"Hey, don't say that it's not your fault that I was killed in the attack, and there if you didn't have, leave my side than I would be alive, I really doubt that I would be alive at that time, they would have killed me to get you," Trevor said to me.

"Oh Trevor," I said and hug him again. Then we heard a whimper and I look down at Leon who was looking at me with puppy dog eyes waiting for me to come and hug him. I look at Trevor and he put me down. I run towards Leon and hug him; I part away from him and he started licking my face making me giggle.

"I heard that moon goddess, has sent you another protector to protect you?" he asks and I nodded at him.

"What was his name, Ke...Kelvin right?" Trevor asks me and I nodded my head. We sit on the ground and talk for some time. I also get to play with Leo for some time until I feel a jolt in my body like someone is shaking me.

"Looks like someone is trying to wake you up, I think you should go now," Trevor said to me with a sad smile on his face.

"But I don't want to leave, you, what if I didn't get to see you again?" I ask with watery eyes.

"I will come in your dreams to visit you some time," he said to me.

"Promise," I said and a lonely tear falls down from my eyes.

"I promise," he said smiling at me and I show him my pinky finger and he curls his pinky finger in pinky promise. I hug them for the last time and started walking back to the place I have come from.

*Dreams end*

"What happens?" I ask in my sleepy voice opening my eyes to see Cole looking at me worriedly.

"God, you are burning," he said and I snuggle by his side feeling a little bit cold. He gets out of the bed and walks out of the room. After some time, he comes with a blanket, and a bowl in his hand. He covers me with another blanket and places a wet cold handkerchief on my head and I fall asleep again while snuggling deeper in the blanket.

(Cole P.O.V)

I was sleeping beside my mate while holding her in my arms when I feel her trembling in my arms and saw her crying in her sleep while murmuring incoherently in her sleep. I try to wake her up but in avail, then she started giggling making me even more worried about her. I started to shake her with more force while trying to wake her up and saw her crying again and feel my wolf whimper in my mind.

After some time, she opens her eyes and asks something in so low voice that if I were a human, I would not have heard her.

I wipe her tears from her face and feel her burning skin, she sighs and snuggled closer to me. I get up from bed while mind linking the pack doctor to come to my room as soon as possible and walk towards the kitchen. I take a bowl from the cupboard and pour some cold water in it and put some ice cubes on it then walk towards the storeroom and grab a warm blanket from there and walk back to my room.

I cover her with another blanket and wet my handkerchief in cold water and put it on her head so that it can heat away from her body. After some time, I heard the knock on my door and turn to see the pack doctor standing near the door and nod my head at him. She enters the room and I get aside so that she can check on her. After doing her regular check-up, she gives an injection to Nikki and packs her thing.

"She has a little bit cold and fever, I have given her injection, and this is the list of medicine that you have to tell someone to bring from the medical shop because I can't give her werewolf medicine, it was heavy dose, will only make her condition worse, I will come in the morning to check on her again," the doctor said to me and walks out of the room. I sit on the chair and keep putting the wet cold clothes at her forehead and don't know when I fall asleep in a dreamless slumber.
