You're never going to stink for me

(Cole P.O.V)

I wake up from the sleep when I heard Nikki sneeze under the blanket and then started coughing vigorously. I patted her back and hand her a glass of water. I check up her temperature and see she has cool down a bit. I heard her stomach growl in hunger and I chuckle at her when she turns red in embarrassment.

“You get some rest and I will make something to eat for you,” I said kissing her head and walk towards the kitchen to see Stella and Myra is making breakfast for the pack while Zane and Kelvin are talking with each other while having their coffee in their hand sitting on the table.

“Good morning,” Stella said smiling at me when she saw me walking towards her.

“Morning,” I said with a forced smile on my face.

“Where is Nikki?” Kelvin asks me.

“She is having some rest in my room, she has fallen sick last night,” I said while boiling some milk for Nikki.

“What? What happens to her?” Stella asks worriedly.

“She has a fever and cold,” I said to her and heard Kelvin curse under his breath and I raise my eyebrow at him.

“She has fallen in the lake while running to catch the fireflies,” Kelvin said to him.

“I make her change her clothes in the forest and bring her to the pack-house to run a hot bath for her and gave her some hot soup so that she did not fall sick but I think it was useless,” Kelvin said to me.

“I don’t think it was useless, I think you have done well if you didn’t have done that then she would have a higher fever then she had now,” the doctor said while entering inside the packhouse.

“Where is she?” the doctor asks me.

“In my room, “I said to her and she walks towards my room.

“You have got her checked by the doctor last night, right?” Kelvin asks and I nodded my head at him.

“Good,” he said nodding his head at me.

“Can you bring this medicine for her, from a nearby store?” I ask him while passing the receipt to him.

“Sure,” he said and walks out from there.

“Here, it is a glass of hot turmeric milk, it will help her to get well soon,” mom said passing a cup to me. I keep it on the tray and prepare a plate for breakfast for us. I kept it on the tray and take it to my room.

“How is she, doctor?” I ask the doctor while entering my room.

“Good, her fever has, get down a bit, medicine with a good amount of rest and she will be fine in no time,” the doctor said smiling at me. I nodded my head at him and he walks away from there. I put the tray on the table and pass a cup of turmeric milk to her.

She takes the cup from my hand and takes a sip from it and then makes a funny face at me and I control the urge to laugh at her.

“What is it?” I ask raising an eyebrow at her.

“I don’t want to drink it,” she said passing the cup to me.

“Why?” I ask her.

“I don’t like the taste of it,” she said pouting at me and making me sigh at her childishness.

“It’s hot turmeric milk, Nikki, it works as medicine so that well soon,” I said to her.

“But I don’t like medicine,” she said again pouting at me.

“It’s the medicine you don’t suppose to like it, but you have to get it so that you can well soon,” I said narrowing my eyes at her.

“I am not going to drink it,” she said and put the cup on the table.

“Okay, then no medicine means no chocolate and ice cream for you,” I said and shrug my shoulder at her and her jaw dropped down to the bed.

“You’re kidding me right,” she asks me while looking at me with a puppy dog eye and I have to control myself from giving up on her.

“Do I look like I am kidding you,” I said with my best serious face. She turns away from me and drinks it in one go then made a disgusting face at it while glaring at it and I smiled at my victory. We eat our breakfast and I order omega to take the dirty plates from my room.

“Where are you going, Nikki?” I ask when I saw her getting out of the bed.

“I am going to take a bath,” she said in a duh tone.

“No, you're not going to take bath until you recover your health,” I said looking at her.

“But If I didn’t take a shower, I am going to stink,” she said at me while looking at me with her beautiful hazel eyes.

"You're never going to stink for me," I said smiling at her and a big smile come to her face.

"Fine, but Can I go to the washroom, to do my business, if you know what I mean," she said and turned red in embarrassment, and I bit my lip while nodding my head at her so that I didn't burst out laughing at her and make her more embarrassed then she already is.

After some time, Kelvin comes with her medicine and I forcefully make her take it. Neither I or Kelvin leave her side, and take care of her and her needs. Kelvin and Nikki watch movies and shows on the TV while I do some pack work in my room.

Every day doctors come and check on her health, and I and Kelvin feel relieved when the doctor informed us, that she is getting better with each passing day. When the doctor informed us that she is perfectly fine Nikki run in the washroom to take a hot shower and comes out after one hour. After a few days, I talked to her about homeschooling her, and supposedly she agreed with me and I think it because she was still scared of being kidnapped by that fucker again.

She said she is ready with homeschooling in one condition that I will bring her friend Alisha here every Saturday and Sunday to visit her, and I agreed with her condition at least she will be safe here.
