Falling in the lake
(Nikki P.O.V)
When Cole tells me to go and play with other kids, I don't want to go there because 1. I am still scared that someone will come and kidnapped me again. 2. I am not over Trevor's death yet, I still miss him. 3. Nobody likes to play with me, and bully me because I am a human. If you were wondering why did not tell case about all this, then I did, but after he and their parents scold them, they started teasing me and calling names like a cry baby, weak creature while snarling at me.
So, I just keep myself busy in other circulating activities like dancing, cooking, and others. And other times play with Melody (My cat) or Cole or Trevor whenever they got time to play with me. Well talking about Melody, I have not met her yet after coming back home, I will surely introduce her to Kelvin, I am sure he will like her. I walk towards the tree and sit under a tree while watching them playing with each other and lost in my thoughts.
My thoughts were interrupted when I saw Ryan walking out of the pack-house while talking with his other fellow vampires.
"Ryan," I call him and runs towards him when I reach to him, he scopes me in his arms.
"Hey, munching, what are you doing?" he asks and kissed me on my cheek making me giggle at him.
"Nothing, just sitting under a tree and reading a book," I said smiling at him.
"Why are you not playing with other kids?" Ryan asks me.
"They want to play with me because I am not a werewolf, like them, they said they don't like to play with weak creatures with like me," I said and I feel my eyes water and lips quivered and a lone tear falls down from my eyes.
"No, no little one, don't cry like that, you're not weak at all, it's that you have not got your powers yet, once you got them, they will regret not playing with you and making fun of you, okay?" he asks and I nodded my head at him.
"Would you like to play with us?" one of the vampires with Ryan asks me and I nodded my head with a big smile on my face.
"What would you like to play?" Ryan asks smiling at me.
"Hide and seek, you will count to 50," I said excitedly pointing my finger at the vampire who asks me to play with them and starting to wiggle in Ryans' arm demanding to be put down and hid behind something and he did that. We played for some time until they have to go and check on patrol, and I have to go inside the packhouse and have lunch.
After lunch, I and Cole watch some movies and I don't know when I fall asleep. I get fresh and play with melody and Kelvin for some time. Then I decided to go to mine and Cole's favorite place, the lake near the forest with Kelvin. I informed Cole and go there while riding on Kale wolf Ricky. His wolf is as huge as Trevor wolf, and have a beautiful dark red color fur, which can be mistaken as a dark brown color.
We reach there and then he kneels down so that I can climb down from him. I climb down from him and walk and sit at a nearby tree. I take out my novel and started reading it. As the sun started to set, I put my novel inside the bag and watch the sunset with Kelvin in awe, during sunset and night the lake become even more beautiful than before, because its shows the beautiful moon and twinkling lights inside the water.
The fireflies started to show, and I run to catch one and I did not see where I was going and fall in the lake, the water in was so cold that I feel a shiver run down my body. I tried to come out of the lake, but in avail, so I shout for Kelvin for help.
(Kelvin P.O.V)
I was taking the nap in my wolf form beside Nikki under the tree when I heard her shouting for me, and I wake up and look around my surrounding in alert when I heard her calling at me again and turn to see Nikki is drowning in the lake and run towards her. I taker her sweater in my mouth and taker her out of the lake. After that, I run behind the tree and shift in my human form, and wear my boxers and run towards her to see her shivering from cold.
I take my shirt and jacket out from her bag and give it to her to change it. She walks behind the tree and comes out from behind the tree after some time while sneezing and hold her clothes in her hand. I take the clothes from her hand and put it in the plastic bag the put it in his bag and shift in my wolf form and kneels down so that she can claim on my back. When she climbs on my back, I run to the pack-house as fast as I can while making sure that she didn't fall down from my back and directly run to her and Cole's room.
When I reach to their room, I kneel-downs to let her climb down from my back and go to the washroom to prepare a hot bath for her so that she did not fall sick on us. I wear Cole's boxer to hide you know what and come out from the washroom.
"I have prepared a hot bath for you, go and take it, while I tell the cook to prepare a hot soup for you," I told her and walks out of the room only to bump into Cole's sister Stella.
"Everything alright, I see you running to Cole's room with Nikki shivering with cold," Stella asks worriedly.
"Yes, it's just Nikki has fallen in the lake, so I run back here as fast as I can to prepare a hot bath for her so that she did not fall sick, can you tell the cook to prepare hot soup for her? I ask her.
"Sure," she said and walks towards the kitchen and I go to my room to get into clothes and walk back to her room and wait for her.
"Kelvin, can you pass me my clothes, I have kept it in the bed," Nikki said while peeking her head out from washroom and I pass her, her clothes. She wears it and comes out of the washroom. I grab her in my arms just has Stella enters the room with a tray of food.
I tuck her in the bed, behind the heavy blanket and feed her. Then I tell her the bedtime story and as I finished telling her the story, I saw her already fallen asleep. I kissed her forehead and walks out of the room after closing the light of the room.
