Chapter 65: Kill!
Chapter 65: Kill!
Chu Miao dusted herself off and shook her head. She then decided to just walk over to Xiao Shen’s location. "The little Doctor lady said that this is a university town, and judging by the fact that the vision showed Fellow Arcanist Xiao Shen in a classroom, it should be possible that he is pretending to be a student or a lecturer!"
This meant that the only place ideal for him to go was the university town!
Meanwhile, Bai Ningxue frowned slightly and quietly followed behind her. Her teacher had given her a task and she would not dare fail him.
After all, it wasn’t everyone who got to have an immortal level being as a Teacher, such that her greatest fear in life was her teacher abandoning her, even!

Meanwhile, Tian Hua wiped her tears. Her eyes were red and she could not see where she was going to as her glasses had been dropped back in the restaurant. There was a western saying that taking off ones glasses before doing something dumb was a defense mechanism that would make sure that you did not see the aftermath of your actions.
However, that was the exact thing she had decided to do.
"Xiao Shen is so mean!" She said as she walked into her dormitory. "Can you guys believe that... Oh."
Walking into her room, she sighed deeply. "Oh, right. I forgot I’m the ONLY one here. Stuck by myself, and not even Shen-ge wants to hang out with me."
Her mood instantly plummeted and she crashed on her bed, lying face up. "Is something wrong with me? Or am I destined to spend my life alone..."
Alone...
Alone...
Tian Hua’s eyes turned redder as she suddenly felt very, very aggrieved.
Why doesn’t anyone want to hang out with me...

Meanwhile, Xiao Shen casually wandered about the University Town. It was still afternoon and there was nothing to do at the dorm. He originally had wanted to open the package from the Desolate Yin sect there, but Dong Wang and ’Kevin’ just happened to be around.
But, on the bright side, he had gotten Tian Hua to go back to the dorm. If she was around, he would not be able to live with himself if she got injured. He had witnessed her die once and absolutely could not let that dreadful occurrence repeat itself. Thus, he had to keep her as far away as possible from the beings of this part of his life.
Cultivators, Jiangshi, Witches, they were all dangerous entities that could bring about harm. Not to mention the predicament he was currently in...
[Anchor, you’re still being followed!]
[Battle is inevitable!]
[Anchor will KO them in one punch!]
[Rooting for Anchor!]
"Tsk, I wonder why I’m being followed..." Xiao Shen muttered to himself.
He had the urge to directly head over and beat them both up!
However, he would not dare do so because he had no idea how strong they were. Though, he would be able to regress if he died in the process...
I’ll have to deal with them.
Xiao Shen nodded inwardly and began to head towards the forest.
"Zhou Lan, he’s heading towards the forest!" Zhao Xixi whispered as she narrowed her eyes at Xiao Shen. "This is a very good opportunity to ambush him and get the high quality mana stone!"
"I can see that, Zhao Xixi." Zhou Lan spoke slowly and calmly. "But you’re wrong. Him going to the forest might not necessarily be a good opportunity to ambush him. What if he has seen through our illusion spell? What if he’s aware that we are following him, and is heading towards favourable terrain to call us out? What if he has helpers waiting in ambush, who are waiting for us to go and wait in ambush before ambushing us in the bushes?!"
"Huh???" Zhou Xixi blinked her eyes in abject confusion. "Zhou Lan, what are you even saying! It’s making my head spin..."
"We do not make a move and simply monitor him." Zhou Lan rolled his eyes. "We shall keep monitoring him until we get enough information to know how and when to attack, or whether to retreat."
Warlocks were not fools, and, if they saw that an opponent was far above their level, they would definitely retreat. After all, out of the thirty six stratagems, retreating was best!
If the young man in possession of the high quality mana stone was weak First Level Lay Arcanist, then they would step out and kill him!
If he was a Second Level True Arcanist, then they would also kill him!
However, if he turned out to be a Third Level Greater Arcanist, then they would lay low and escape. Then, they would come back with more helpers and kill him!
As for sharing the high quality mana stone, well, then they would just kill the bunch of helpers too!
However, if he turned out to be a Fourth Level Arcane Knight, then they would quietly leave, change identities several dozen times, and leave the country for a few centuries.
The difference between an Arcanist and a wielder of the Arcane was larger than the disparity between heaven and earth.
It was a disparity so large, that it would take a thousand First Level Lay Arcanists to defeat one Fourth Level Arcane Knight!

Chu Miao smiled and looked at the strand of hair in her hand. This was Xiao Shen’s hair.
She was a witch, and it was more or less a habit to quietly take a button, or a hair, or a tooth, or a fingernail from people around them. These materials could be used to cast powerful curses, and also to cast powerful blessings.
Yes, you read that right.
Who made the rules that witches could only curse people?
Chu Miao, as a matter of fact, was a witch that excelled at blessing people instead of cursing them!
Apart from Curses and Blessings, the hair or nails or clothing article could also be used for tracking purposes. By following the remaining life aura contained within, one would be able to find the places that the person visited frequently.
That was how Chu Miao ended up in front of the XXX University’s Male Dormitory.
