Chapter 413: He Will Cry and Beg You
Chapter 413: He Will Cry and Beg You
...
The downstairs of the Jorgansen Group.
Margaret frowned and became angrier as she looked at the passing traffic.
Julian left before she got off work.
There were few left in the company and she gritted her teeth.
She would never forgive this bastard.
Online.
Margaret received a message and then she looked at it.
"Congratulations to Mrs. Jorgansen. Mr. Jorgansen would not be at home today. Do you want to hang out with us?"
It was from Summer. Margaret snorted and rolled her eyes.
She replied bluntly, "Who knows."
Lily sent her a sympathetic hug emoji.
"Poor baby, you’ll be alone tonight."
Then they sent an emoji of laughing.
Margaret doubted whether they were her friends. "Don’t wait. Mr. Jorgansen can’t pick you up today."
"Not only today, but he also can’t send you to work tomorrow."
"Do you need a bus card? I’ll sell it to you for 50 dollars."
"You can also take the subway. After all, it’s a busy area around our company, so it will be difficult to take a taxi."
"Now I finally realize that living in a villa is not so good."
The villas were located in a rich area, quiet, but with less traffic and people.
Margaret gritted her teeth. Even if she couldn’t see the two of them, she could feel their teasing.
They were laughing at her.
Margaret angrily rejected. "No need. I’ll take a taxi!"
"Good girl as expected."
"Mr. Jorgansen must have given her money. I’m so envious." Margaret snorted, ignoring their taunts, and called for a car.
Although she had been traumatized by the accident, she had no choice. When she went back, she would pick a car and cut off all ties with Julian.
When Margaret sat in the car, she received a message from Lily.
She said in a rather affectionate tone, "I have to remind you. Mr. Jorgansen is on a business trip."
Julian was on a business trip!
Margaret stared at the screen and was stunned for a long time.
Thinking about Julian leaving the company early in the afternoon, Margaret felt disappointed.
He left in a hurry, and it turned out that he was going on a business trip.
But why didn’t she know that Julian was on a business trip? It seemed that everyone
knew...
Was he ignoring her?
Margaret felt a burst of unhappiness, but she still stuck to her attitude.
As he didn’t get along with her, she would ignore him, either.
With a cold snort, Margaret sent a message in the chat group, "Let’s go to discos. I’ll pay."
They replied quickly.
Summer rejected, "No!"
Lily declined, "Mr. Jorgansen said that if anyone dares to go to the bar with you, he will deduct the quarterly bonus for next month."
Margaret asked, "When did he say that? Why didn’t I know?"
Lily sent an awkward emoji. "It can be implied from his words and manner."
Summer laughed and replied sympathetically, "Give up. No one else in the company plays with you except us."
Margaret was surprised that she was isolated by the entire company! Then she sent a message to Riya.
Riya replied very quickly, "Come to my house."
Then she sent Margaret an address, and Margaret’s eyes lit up when she saw it.
She quickly asked the driver to change the direction.
The driver hesitated, "It was not the set destination when you called the car." When Margaret arrived, Riya was sitting on the sofa.
The moment Margaret entered, she saw Riya smile at her.
Her smile was so enchanting and charming that even Margaret was attracted. Fantastic!
Before Margaret could speak, there was a sound from the bathroom.
Then, Margaret found Stefan was there. He had just come out of the bathroom, his upper body naked and his lower body wrapped in a towel.
It looked like he was going to bed.
Margaret was stunned. She seemed to have come at the wrong time.
When Stefan saw Margaret, he was surprised. He frowned and looked at Riya, who was sniggering.
It was her who did it.
"I’m short-sighted. I can’t see anything. I’ll be leaving."
Margaret turned around and was about to run out. The moment she opened the door, Riya stopped her.
She pressed Margaret against the door and stuck her feet into the gap. "Didn’t you ask me out for a drink? Why are you leaving?" Riya looked at Margaret with dissatisfaction.
If Margaret left, how could she chase Stefan away?
Margaret laughed awkwardly and said humbly, "I didn’t know that you are busy. We can hang out another day..."
"Why? Let’s go today."
Riya dragged her to the sofa and pressed her down.
Margaret sat on the sofa with her hands propping on it. She looked at Stefan innocently. "I didn’t mean to disturb you."
If she had known that Stefan was here, she would never come here.
It was so awkward to disturb them.
She was a good girl who never ruined others’ plans.
"Don’t be afraid."
Riya glared at Margaret unsatisfied.
Margaret curled her lips and muttered, "He wants to throw me out. How can I not be afraid?"
She could see Stefan’s look.
Margaret felt that she was unlucky today.
"Don’t worry. He won’t dare to do so."
Riya patted Margaret on the shoulder and looked at Stefan. "I have to accompany Margaret today. You can go back to the hotel."
Stefan was helpless. Did he come all the way from River City just to take a bath? "Hotel? No, I..."
"What? You are not going anywhere. Stay with me tonight."
When Margaret stood up, Riya pulled her back.
Feeling wronged, Margaret could only look at Stefan and smile awkwardly.
It was Riya who wouldn’t let her go.
Stefan glanced at Riya, picked up his clothes, and turned to the bedroom.
After a while, he came out dressed neatly.
Tall and proud.
Margaret felt a little better after he put on his clothes.
"Take your time."
Stefan left without more words.
Margaret was worried.
It would not be so easy.
...
The door was closed. Margaret heard the sound. She was scared.
She turned to Riya, who was so happy about it, and said, "Is he going to kill me?" After all, she borrowed Riya from him.
Riya couldn’t help but roll her eyes in disdain when she saw how terrified she was. "What are you afraid of him for? He’s just bluffing. He doesn’t dare to do anything." "Really? Are you sure?"
Margaret twitched her mouth as she thought of the way Stefan looked at her. He didn’t seem to be bluffing.
She stood up uneasily and was about to leave.
She thought her life was more important than her friendship with Riya. "What are you doing? If you dare to step out, I will kill you right now." Margaret quivered. "Are you serious?"
Riya said, "Don’t worry. With our families protecting you, Stefan won’t dare lay a finger on you."
"So, you want me to be the scapegoat?"
Margaret had seen through it. Riya was a bit embarrassed.
"I can’t tell him to go away by myself. We are all good besties. Don’t be like this. Help me out."
Riya thought, "It’s just a small favor. Can’t she just help me?"
Margaret curled her lips, acting like a spoiled child.
"I’m not your bestie. We are just childhood best friends."
Riya nodded. "Alright, alright, alright. Call us however you want. I was the one that almost became your sister-in-law. Please help me out."
"It’s good that you aren’t my sister-in-law. My brother will surely suffer if he marries you."
Margaret slapped Riya’s hand away and sat back on the sofa.
It wasn’t that she was afraid of Stefan, but that she felt a little uneasy to ruin someone’s relationship.
However, for the sake of Riya, she would do it with her.
She made up her mind. If she wasn’t happy, she was not going to witness others’ happiness.
Break them up.
"Oh right, why are you looking for me? Where is Julian?"
When Margaret called her, all she thought about was how to trick Margaret into coming over. She had no idea what Margaret was looking for her for.
Now that Stefan had been driven away by her, she had time to care for her bestie.
When she mentioned Julian, Margaret was instantly enraged.
She felt like she was about to explode. She sat on the sofa and sighed.
"Don’t mention him. I don’t want to hear anything about him right now."
"Did you quarrel?"
Riya raised her eyebrows, then patted Margaret on the shoulder and said with a smile, "It doesn’t matter. I know how to solve problems in a relationship. Let’s drink and talk."
Riya walked to the wine cabinet, took out a bottle of red wine, poured two glasses, and handed it to Margaret.
Margaret glanced at it and said with hesitation, "Drinking in daylight is not good. If you drink too much like last time..."
She thought about last time. They were wasted and got kidnapped in a bar.
Margaret was a bit unwilling.
Now that Julian was on a business trip, nobody was going to rescue her if she got kidnapped again.
"What are you afraid of? Last time, we were outside. This time, we are at home. We’ll be safe in here."
Riya rolled her eyes at her and stuffed the wine glass into Margaret’s hand.
"Don’t think about man. Just drink."
After that, she drank it all in one gulp.
Margaret glanced at her, grabbed the glass in her hand, and asked, "Is there something on your mind?"
Riya couldn’t help but roll her eyes at her when she saw the look on her face. "Nothing’s bothering me. I have nothing on my mind." Margaret pouted. "It must have something to do with Stefan."
Margaret raised her chin and looked at the pair of men’s slippers next to the shoe cabinet.
She wondered, "there are a lot of Stefan’s things. It is obvious that he often comes to her place."
Riya angrily walked to the shoe cabinet, picked up the slippers on the ground, and threw them into the trash can, her eyes full of anger.
"I don’t care about him now. Nothing is more important than us."
Margaret nodded and said sincerely, "but you do care about him."
Without waiting for Riya to speak, she continued, "He can sleep with you. I can’t." Riya walked forward and laughed as she sat down beside Margaret. "Why can’t you? You can sleep with me here today!"
Margaret chuckled.
"I’m not here to drink with you. Julian is on a business trip. I’m free now."
Margaret smiled cheerfully.
Riya rolled her eyes with a snort.
"You’re lying. I bet you miss him so much after he went on his business trip." Riya winked and smiled mischievously. Margaret said angrily, "Of course not."
"Why would I miss him? I’m angry that he doesn’t respect me."
Margaret thought about it and searched for an answer.
Then, she nodded in satisfaction. "He just doesn’t respect me."
"Julian doesn’t respect you? Did he do something without your consent? Did he..." Then she glanced at Margaret. Margaret cringed.
"Of course not. I’m talking about dignity. He shows no respect to my dignity." Margaret quickly drank a glass of red wine to calm herself down. Then, she began to talk.
After listening for a while, Riya seemed to understand it.
"So, you were angry because he was on a business trip and didn’t invite you with him."
"It’s not like that. Who wants to go with him? I’m mad that he didn’t tell me about his business trip. Isn’t it important to let your significant other know what you’re going to do?"
Margaret spoke earnestly. Her face turned red when she was angry.
"We did quarrel. He sleeps in the study now. We don’t live together. Everyone in his company knows about his business trip. Except me. And I am his wife."
She wondered how many people were going to make fun of her behind her back and spread rumors about she was about to get ditched.
"This isn’t a normal marriage. You’re not going to have his baby. Why do you care? Just enjoy your life. I’m sure Julian will provide for you."
Riya patted Margaret’s shoulder, trying to console her.
"Of course he will."
Now that all of Julian’s properties were hers. He would certainly provide for her.
But she couldn’t tell Riya about this. So she said, "If he stops providing for me, I will divorce him and let him leave with nothing."
Riya nodded. "Yes, let him leave with nothing. He won’t get a single cent. He will cry and beg you."
Then, she thought of something and turned to look at Margaret, "Margaret, you are so smart!"
