Chapter 414: Not Handsome as Julian
Chapter 414: Not Handsome as Julian
...
Being praised by Riya, Margaret was very dissatisfied, "I was very smart."
She is rich and full of talent. How can she not be smart?
Riya snorted.
"I said you were fat and you didn’t admit it. You won’t be able to change this for the rest of your life. I really don’t know what Julian likes about you."
Margaret shook her head proudly and said, "Of course, he likes me. I’m beautiful and rich. I’m connotative and charming..."
"You sure are confident."
Riya glanced at her and poured her a glass of wine.
She said in a low voice, "You really don’t want a child?"
Margaret was stunned for a moment before shaking her head, "Of course not. Before I was thirty, I will definitely have a child."
Riya rolled her eyes in disdain.
"Then what are you waiting for? You’re almost thirty."
"Because I have to prepare. It’s not easy to have children."
Margaret took a sip of the wine in her cup and whispered, "It’s a sacred thing to have children. Of course, you have to have children with the person you like."
Right now, she was still unsure of the person she liked. How could she casually give birth to a child?
Riya sized her up and said, "I didn’t expect that a little girl like you would be so innocent. You’re already married, yet you still think about love. Could it be that you want to have an affair? Do you dislike Julian and hate him?"
Margaret pursed her lips and whispered, "I don’t hate him, but I don’t think I like him either."
Riya nodded in understanding.
"You’ve been married for so long. You won’t like him. Maybe you should get a divorce."
"Divorce!"
Margaret jumped up from the sofa. She reacted so violently that she startled Riya.
Riya stared at her in shock, "It’s just a divorce. Why are you so reactive?"
"No. No, I..."
Margaret quickly sat back down and clenched the cup in her hand.
Lowering her head, her gaze fell on the red liquid in the cup, as if she was talking to herself.
"We are a marriage alliance between two big families, and there are so many benefits involved in it. How can we get a divorce just like that? Moreover, the Anderson family work so hard to raise me. I only paid for marriage, and there is no loss. Anyway, it is just a change of place to sleep, but it can bring so much benefit to the Anderson family."
Riya looked at her in horror, then with a face full of admiration.
"Margaret, I really couldn’t tell that you actually have such a big kind heart."
After saying that, she laughed.
Margaret was stunned. She looked at the woman in front of her who was laughing without any image and asked curiously, "Is it funny?"
Riya calmed herself down, held back her laughter, then nodded forcefully.
She then reached out and poked Margaret in the head.
"Since it’s a marriage that concerns the interests of both families, then you can’t divorce. You can’t have an illegitimate child, can you?"
"How can that be? My child can’t be an illegitimate child."
Margaret shook her head.
All these years, she had seen the lives of those illegitimate children. They were not happy.
Thinking about Horton, she did not want to have an illegitimate child.
Seeing that Margaret was so adorable, Riya kindly explained.
"Since you don’t want to give birth to an illegitimate child and you can’t divorce Julian, then you can only give birth to his child before the age of thirty. Anyway, you’re almost thirty. So, you can have a child now. It will be better for the marriage interests of the two families."
"I really don’t know why are you still arguing with Julian. No wonder he was too lazy to bother with you. He didn’t bring you along on a business trip. You should just stay in an empty room!"
Margaret was dissatisfied with Riya’s dislike.
But it seemed that she was right.
Margaret sat on the spot in a daze and thought seriously.
Oh right, since she didn’t want to divorce and had no choice but to give birth to a child, then what was there to worry about?
"I think you are right!"
Margaret muttered. Riya rolled her eyes at her.
Of course, she was right.
"So, you’re stupid. It was a good thing that you don’t have the property rights of the Anderson family."
Margaret did not agree with what Riya said. She secretly rolled her eyes.
Although she did not have much of the Anderson family’s property, she had the Fu family’s shares.
When she thought about it, there was nothing to be afraid of. If she gave birth to a child, the child would inherit her property. Julian was just a worker under her.
If she was unhappy, she can make him have nothing at all.
What was she afraid of?
"Right, I can have a child."
Margaret suddenly stood up from the sofa and walked out the door without looking back.
By the time Riya came to her senses, Margaret had already left.
Riya did not know how to react.
"Is this woman sick? Or is there something wrong with her?"
"What did she just say? Why did she persuade people to have children? Isn’t it good to be single at such a young age?"
Riya drank the wine in the cup and frowned.
The vision in front of her was a little hazy. She felt a little dizzy after drinking too much.
She was still clear-headed, but she was not very comfortable with this feeling.
As she muttered to herself in a low voice, she remembered something and shouted to the door, "Didn’t you say you wanted to sleep with me? Why are you leaving?"
Truly a woman with no reputation, to value a man over a friend.
Before Riya had a good time, Margaret left.
Riya propped herself up on the sofa and looked at the glittering neon outside the window, she narrowed her eyes and whispered, "It’s getting dark."
As she spoke, she staggered towards the window.
She happily drew the curtains back and forth.
There was a slight sound of the door opening behind her. Riya turned to look at the door.
The woman standing under the curtain had a dazed look on her face.
The neon lights outside the window shone brightly, enveloping her entire figure in a rainbow of colors. She was so beautiful that she didn’t seem to be on earth.
Riya blinked and looked at the figure at the door.
When she saw the man standing at the door, Riya was slightly sober.
"Why are you back? Didn’t you go back to the hotel?"
Then, she turned around and asked curiously, "Where’s the person who said he wanted to sleep with me? Where did he go?"
Stefan looked at her and he could smell alcohol on her. She drank half of the bottle of wine.
She was intoxicated and her steps were a little shaky.
Although she was still conscious, her body was out of control.
Riya fell forward and subconsciously closed her eyes.
She knew that Stefan would not let her fall to the ground, so she smoothly fell into his arms and grabbed his shoulder.
She looked up at him with teary eyes and said pitifully, "Did you come back to sleep with me again?"
...
Stefan grabbed Riya’s hand and pulled her into his arm.
Riya took advantage of the opportunity to put her arms around Stefan’s neck and behaved docilely.
"Drink with me!"
Riya blinked her eyes at the man in front of her and smiled.
Her expressionless look seemed to have no idea about who was in front of her.
Stefan frowned and answered with a low voice, "I don’t want to drink."
The woman in his arms chuckled.
"Never mind it. What do you want to do? I can do it with you."
Stefan stared at Riya who was in his arms for a while.
He replied with a meaningful look, "You are drunken."
It sounded like he was affirming while questioning.
Riya tilted her head and asked smilingly, "What do you think?"
Stefan finally said after quiet for a while, "You’re drunken!"
Then he carried her on his shoulder straight to the bedroom.
They had bathed in advance. When they rolled onto the bed, Riya suddenly came to her sense.
Looking at the man overhead, she took a deep breath before asking, "Why did you come so quickly?"
She wondered, "Didn’t Margaret just leave?"
"How could he come over so quickly?"
"I didn’t leave. I was waiting for you downstairs."
Stefan’s voice was low without any undulations. It just sounded hoarse.
Riya frowned when hearing the answer that she seemed to know.
With a sniff, she reached out her hands around the man’s neck, "Stefan, I’m drunken."
Stefan glanced at her and replied, "I know."
A drunken person would be spared from the responsibility of what she was doing. Therefore, Riya was free to do anything she wanted. Then she could pretend that nothing had happened.
It meant that she could still calmly get rid of this man.
She could dump him willfully after having sex with him.
She would bear no responsibility as long as she didn’t admit it.
Margaret went straight to the place where she lived. The smell of alcohol on her scared Evan.
"Mrs. Jorgansen, do you need my help?"
Seeing Margaret go upstairs and take the suitcase down, Evan felt a thud in his heart.
He had no idea how to deal with it.
He felt helpless, "What should I do now? Mrs. Jorgansen begins to cause a stir just after Mr. Jorgansen left. How can I handle her?"
Margaret waved her hand and refused, "No. Give me the car keys."
"Mrs. Jorgansen, you can’t drive after drinking."
Evan answer in a low, timid voice.
Not until his words did Margaret realize it.
Though she only drank a little red wine and had clear consciousness, she couldn’t drive now.
Then Margaret said, "Get me a driver."
"Mrs. Jorgansen, do you really go out when it’s late at night?
Evan felt uneasy when glancing at the outside that was all dark now.
If something happened to Margaret tonight when going out, he would bear the whole responsibility.
"It’s too dark now. It might rain in a while. Why don’t you wait tomorrow and then I get you a driver?"
"Evan, why are you so annoying? If you don’t get me a driver I would miss the flight. If you don’t want to get me a driver, give me the keys."
Evan thought, " You could get a driver yourself."
However, Evan hid the keys in his pockets and tried to persuade her. "It would be dangerous for you alone without Mr. Jorgansen around."
"Of course I know he is not around. If he is with me, would I have to bother going out so late? Give me the keys and stop nagging!"
Evan felt hurtful as he had been disliked.
"Mrs. Jorgansen, it’s too late. I can’t give you the key and let you go."
Margaret was stunned at Evan’s words. Looking at his grave look, she suddenly had
a temper.
When Margaret didn’t want to see Julian before, Evan kept talking to her about Julian every day.
But when she wanted to see Julian now, he didn’t let her go. What did he want?
"Are you going to give me or not? If you don’t, I’ll call the taxi myself. Since it’s so late, will the taxi be more insecure?"
Evan was dumbfounded.
He involuntarily trembled a little.
Evan felt helpless, "Can’t we be thoughtful when doing things since we are no more teens?"
"Mrs. Jorgansen, Mr. Jorgansen would be so angry and fire me if he knows you go out so late at night. Moreover, will it be improper for you to go back to your mother’s home in such a hurry as Mr. Jorgansen just went on a business trip?"
"Go back to my mother’s home? Who said I was going back to my mother’s home?"
Evan was shocked, "Does she intend to run off with another man?"
He broke out in a cold sweat by his thought and was to stop her. Then he heard Margaret saying.
"I’m going to see Julian. Isn’t he on a business trip? How can I see him now if I don’t go for him?"
Julian couldn’t meet her needs as he was on a business trip.
But there was no reason that she wanted to see him at this moment.
As for why she wanted to see him, she was too lazy to think about it. Everything would be fine as long as she could see him.
Evan was surprised, "Mrs. Jorgansen, are you serious?"
He felt worried, "She let Mr. Jorgansen sleep in the study room. Is she wanting a divorce as she is so anxious to see him?"
"Why do young people have no idea of cherishing their marriage?"
"Evan, why are you so protracted? Hurry up and get me the key. I would be late for the flight!"
The next flight would be tomorrow morning that she had no patience to wait.
Evan came to his sense and quickly took out the car key from his pocket.
Before he could say anything, Margaret grabbed the key and said, "Get a driver for me to the airport."
Evan looked at Margaret leaving and felt relieved with a smile on his face.
Evan thought, "As long as the couple got along, nothing needed to worry. Mr. Jorgansen would soon return home since Mrs. Jorgansen went for him."
However, on second thought, there was no need for the couple to rush back home.
Nowadays, many newly-married couples would go abroad for a honeymoon. Evan thought that he could take this couple as going abroad for a honeymoon.
This thought lightened Evan’s mood. He rushed to call Mr. Jorgansen and tell him that Mrs. Jorgansen was on the way to him.
Not long after Margaret took her seat on the plane, someone sat near her.
He was tall and had a noble temperament.
His forearms were fair colored with distinct muscles, which would attract more attention.
Margaret couldn’t help but take a few more glances at the forearms.
With the sunglasses on her face, Margaret looked at the man’s forearms in an unbridled manner.
They were so fair, but unfortunately, there was hair on them.
Margaret sighed at the hair and of a sudden didn’t feel like knowing his face.
She guessed that his countenance wouldn’t match her taste.
"Miss, are you peeking at me?"
Just as Margaret wanted to turn away, the man beside her asked with a strange accent.
Margaret quivered and raised her head.
He was a foreigner with blonde hair and brown pupils. He looked young and handsome with a smirk on his face.
She didn’t like the smile. Also, he was not handsome as Julian. She felt very disappointed!
