Chapter 360: Who Would Believe What She Said
Chapter 360: Who Would Believe What She Said
...
The bathroom door opened, and Julian’s figure once again appeared at the door.
It was obvious that his previous shower was nothing.
The woman on the bed closed her eyes the moment she heard the bathroom door open.
It was as if she was asleep.
Julian walked to the bed, lifted the quilt, and lay down casually. He pulled the woman into his arms.
The sudden approach made Margaret move her body uncomfortably. When she touched his body, she felt the coldness of the water.
"Don’t move."
"Julian, are you going to sleep in the daytime?"
Margaret quietly raised her head, her eyes falling on his chin.
The man closed his eyes. His face had softened a little. His delicate facial features were the most beautiful that Margaret had ever seen. He was more handsome than Bruce.
"If you keep looking at me like this, maybe I won’t sleep. Haven’t you enjoyed enough just now?"
The man suddenly opened his eyes and lowered his head. His gaze fell on Margaret.
The flush caused by the hot shower was still there. The hair on the man’s forehead was soaked in sweat, making him especially attractive.
Margaret came to her senses. She buried her face in the quilt and said in a muffled voice, "Julian, you are shameless."
She had already done the shameless thing with him, and now she was ashamed of it. "Lift your head up."
The woman’s head did not move but buried deeper as if she wanted to bury her whole body in the quilt.
Julian frowned slightly and said in a deep voice, "Raise your head. Do you want to suffocate yourself?"
"No. You will only tease me."
Julian was amused by Margaret’s words. He said in a deep voice, "If you don’t raise your head, I’ll lift the quilt."
As soon as he said that, Margaret raised her head instantly.
Margaret’s face turned red from lack of oxygen. Her eyes were bright. She curled
her red lips slightly. "I’m not afraid of you. I just think it’s inappropriate to do that in the morning."
"What’s inappropriate about doing what couples would do?"
Julian was too lazy to pay attention to what she said. He hugged her in his arms, rested his chin on her head, and said in a low voice, "Don’t talk. Go to sleep."
"Oh!"
Margaret responded to him obediently. The man smiled and then closed his eyes.
It was extremely silent in the room. The warm sunlight outside was blocked by the curtains, revealing only a bright gap.
The fragrance lamp exuded the smell of fresh fruit. The sweet aroma filled the entire room.
Margaret slept till evening and when she woke up, Julian had left.
He could do anything behind her back.
Just as Margaret got up, a servant came in and said, "Mrs. Jorgansen, please take a shower and get changed. Mr. Jorgansen is waiting for you downstairs."
Margaret nodded. Tonight, she was going to visit the elders in the Jorgansen family. Thinking that they would be her family in the future, Margaret got goosebumps all over.
Although she was unwilling, Margaret still dressed up.
Of course, Margaret did this not for Julian. She just did not want people to think that the daughter of the Anderson family had no manners, which would disgrace her family.
Even if she didn’t like them, she still had basic manners.
Ever since Hilla became her sister-in-law, her clothes were almost all from Halle & Hilla. She rarely bought clothes now.
She liked Hilla’s craftsmanship and was willing to be her model. Moreover, she was beautiful and comfortable in those clothes, so she was not interested much in top brands.
She chose a golden gauzy dress. The golden color made her glorious.
Margaret changed her clothes and went downstairs. Julian was standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows of the living room and making a phone call.
The man stood upright with his head up. The smoke-gray shirt on his body made him look tall and handsome.
As Julian spoke, he heard the sound from upstairs and turned his head slightly.
His dark eyes were fixed on Margaret. After a pause, he said something over the phone, and then he hung up and walked to Margaret.
He approached her and naturally pulled her into his embrace. His arms were around her soft waist and tightened slightly.
"Shall we go now?"
Julian’s gaze swept past her face and his calm voice revealed no emotion.
Margaret nodded and said awkwardly, "Are there just your grandmother and your parents?"
"No, all my family is there."
Julian responded calmly. Margaret paused for a second.
Margaret pouted. "Your family has so many rules."
"Yes, it is a little annoying. But you are so beautiful that everyone wants to see you."
Julian did not try to flatter Margaret. He replied calmly, making Margaret feel much better.
There was no doubt that Margaret was a beautiful woman. She was confident about that.
When the two of them arrived at the Jorgansen’s, the sky had already darkened, and there were little clouds on the horizon. Darkness was about to envelop Far City.
Margaret got out of the car. The golden gauze dress on her looked amazing. She was sexy and stunning with the afterglow.
There were many peonies planted on both sides of the garden, blooming gracefully and beautifully.
Margaret followed Julian into the yard and saw someone coming to greet them.
Margaret and Julian’s uncle, Andy.
Men always focused on beautiful things.
It could tell from his eyes that he likes Margaret a lot and was amazed by her.
Margaret thought that Julian would greet them because they were elders.
However, before Andy could speak, Julian led her past him without a glance.
They just left.
He just ignored them.
Margaret clearly saw the surprise and anger in Andy’s eyes. But that only lasted for a second.
Margaret felt a pain in her wrist and she was pulled into the flowers by Julian.
They were walking on the stone road one minute before and the next second, they went under a thick branch.
Before Margaret could react, her back hit the thick branch. Then, the man kissed her deeply and fiercely.
Then she felt her waist was pressed hard and her lips were bitten.
The leaves rustled in the wind.
The Magnolia flowers above her head were in full bloom. The strong and thick branch made Margaret look tiny and slim.
Through the gaps of the branches in the distance could see two shadows closely intertwined on the ground.
...
In a room on the third floor.
The man looked at the intimate couple not far away and let out a sneer.
The woman came out of the bathroom and was stunned when she saw the man standing by the window. "Why are you standing up?"
Sophie walked forward and followed the man’s gaze to look out the window. She frowned slightly. "Julian is too willful. He actually... Shame on him."
When she finished speaking, Marcos sneered, revealing a hint of ruthlessness.
He then sat back in the wheelchair. "He married a woman from the Anderson family. Did he care about the face of the Jorgansen family?"
It was said that the mother depended on the son, but he, Julian, depended on his wife.
Marrying a good wife, he got his family status promoted. That was really ridiculous.
An uncomfortable expression flashed across Sophie’s face. She walked forward and squatted in front of the man, her hands landing on his legs that were covered in a blanket.
"It’s all in the past now. Isn’t it good for us to live a peaceful life like this? Although my family is not that noble, you are capable. You just suffered some injuries..."
Before the woman could finish speaking, she was stopped by a look from Marcos.
The man pushed her away, along with the gentle hands on his legs.
A pair of dark eyes was filled with coldness, and the smile on his lips was evil and mocking.
He leaned down, grabbing the woman’s chin. The woman’s face instantly turned pale.
"Noble? Although your family is not as good as the Anderson family, but are you... worthy of the word?"
When he finished speaking, his fingertips loosened and Sophie collapsed onto the ground, then the man’s wheelchair slid past her.
"I am not worthy, but I like you."
"Shut up!
"Enough! These three words are especially disgusting when they come out of your mouth." The man gave a cold warning. His eyes seemed to have been poisoned, causing Sophie to shrink in fear.
They had been married for a year, but he had always been cold and indifferent to her. If it was not because she loved him, how could she endure it?
She did not expect this kind of result.
"There isn’t much time left. They should return to their rooms. Don’t waste my time."
The man’s voice was cold. Sophie got up from the ground, wiped away the tears on her face, walked forward, and pushed the wheelchair out of the room.
In the living room downstairs.
Chris whispered something to Mrs. Key. Mrs. Key opened her eyes and looked at the door.
Margaret came in from outside. She occasionally touched her dress, and her face turned red from shyness.
Julian was too shameless. How could he pull her to do that kind of thing in the yard?
Fortunately, he finally stopped, but her clothes were messy.
She had no face to see anyone.
As she thought, she could not help but look up at the man walking in front of her. His back was tall and straight, covering most of her body. Margaret could not help but make faces at him.
When she turned around and saw Marcos, who was pushed down by Sophie, she immediately restrained her expression and leaned into Julian’s embrace.
"I heard that you just came back last night. The wedding date is close. If there is anything you don’t have time to prepare, we can help you."
As soon as Margaret sat down, the woman opposite her sent a warm voice. Before she could respond, Julian said.
"Margaret likes to do it herself. You don’t have to worry about the wedding. We will arrange it."
Sure enough, Sally’s face tightened, and the girl sitting next to her also tightened her fingers. She quietly looked at Julian, and finally, her gaze fell on Margaret’s face.
This was the first time that Margaret had seen so many people in the Jorgansen family. She had seen Julian’s grandparents, his mother, and Marcos.
The once unshakable heir of the Jorgansen family became disabled in an accident a year ago.
If he just couldn’t walk, it might not hinder the family business, but... he had also suffered infertility.
The future master of the family could not have children to inherit. This was the greatest misfortune in a large family.
The Jorgansen family quickly changed their successor, and Julian, who had always been neglected, took over.
In an extremely awkward situation, Julian’s role was particularly ridiculous.
He had never been favored since he was a child. The gazes from others were more
of doubt and disdain.
Although they were disdainful, they had no choice but to cling to him because there was no one more suitable than Julian in the Jorgansen family at this time.
"It’s good that you have your own wedding. We won’t interfere."
Mrs. Key spoke in a deep voice. No one in the Jorgansen family dared to object.
Margaret didn’t know most of these people and had never thought of currying favor with them.
Moreover, with her status, there was no need to curry favor with anyone.
After Mrs. Key finished speaking, her gaze landed on Margaret. Although her voice was still low, it sounded especially kind to them.
"It must be very uncomfortable for you to move here from River City."
Margaret shook her head. Her smile was natural and appropriate. Every movement she made had the air of a noble lady.
"Although I am a little reluctant to leave my mother, the environment here is suitable, the climate is warm, and there are so many people who love me. I feel so happy."
Wasn’t it just putting on an act? She was good at it.
Just looking at these people, Margaret knew what Julian’s life was like.
It wasn’t easy to survive under the eyes of these people and become an heir.
"Miss Anderson is very lively and easy- going. The Anderson family is such a big family, and there is only one girl in the family. You must get many love and concern. When you come to our family, we will naturally love you more."
Sally had just been humiliated, but she was not discouraged at all. She found an opportunity to speak quickly.
If they couldn’t get close to each other, it was fine to get familiar with each other.
Margaret looked at the woman in front of her and sighed sadly. She curled her lips in a grievance.
"You must be joking. My family business is huge, and it is better to have more people. Unfortunately, my family can only rely on my brother. His two sons are too young, and the family has given all hope to my brother. I am actually not welcomed at home."
When Margaret finished speaking, she could feel everyone in the room roll their eyes at her.
She was the only girl in her family, and her wedding led to the rise of the shares of the two groups. Who would believe what she said?
