Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend

Chapter 350: You Should Call Me Mrs. Anderson

Chapter 350: You Should Call Me Mrs. Anderson

...

The corridor of the hotel was long and narrow. Riya walked gracefully to the door and knocked casually.

The door opened, and Julian came out. Standing at the door, he looked gentle and relaxed in the white bathrobe.

Riya glanced at him and looked into the room. "Where’s Margaret?"

"What are you doing here?"

Julian did not let her in. Instead, he blocked the door and stared at her with a straight face who suddenly came out of the blue.

She rolled her eyes impatiently and raised the shopping bag in her hand. "Your wife wants this."

She was extremely embarrassed when she bought it.

She wouldn’t have done it if Margaret hadn’t been her friend.

Julian took the shopping bag and said evenly, "You can go now."

With that, he slammed the door without hesitation.

Riya almost hit her head on the door.

"How ungracious they are! How could Julian be so cold to me after I run errands for them! He’s so rude and no wonder Margaret wants to take contraceptive precautions,"

Riya sneered but then frowned and covered her belly. The pain was getting more and more acute.

She gritted her teeth and left the hotel.

"Is it Riya?"

Margaret came out of the bathroom, her hands covered in bubbles. The bedsheet was large and scarlet, so it was difficult for her to wash the blood out.

"Where is she?"

Looking at the closed door, Margaret stretched but did not see Riya. She frowned.

Julian put down the shopping bag and wiped off the bubbles on her face. He said in disgust, "Other than eating, what else can you do?"

Margaret slapped his hand away and rolled her eyes. "It’s a blessing that I can eat."

Then, she glanced at the shopping bag and asked, "Did she bring this to me?"

She was about to get the things in the shopping bag but was stopped by Julian. He said coldly, "Wash your hands. Don’t get the bubbles over everything. It’s dirty!"

Margaret glanced at the bubbles on her hands and then at Julian. She argues, "It’s clean! You are such a fussy man."

Although she was reluctant, she went back to the bathroom to wash her hands. She quickly returned.

There was a set of sexy underwear in the shopping bag. Riya had put it in without her agreement.

Was she so unattractive that she needed this kind of thing?

She threw it in the trash basket.

She then found the bottle of pills. She quickly opened it and took a pill.

"What did you take?"

Julian stared coldly at Margaret.

He had been holding a document in his hand but hadn’t read it.

"It’s a contraceptive,"

Margaret replied honestly. She was too shy to ask Julian to buy contraceptives and she didn’t feel comfortable today, so she had to ask someone to bring them to her.

"Why do you take this?" He was confused.

Margaret rolled her eyes and said, "Are you a fool? It’s to avoid pregnancy. I know how to protect myself after having sex."

It was fine for a girl to lose her virginity, but she would be too silly if she didn’t do anything to protect herself after that.

Julian closed the files in his hand and stood up. "You don’t need to take this. It’s useless."

Margaret thought, "What does he mean? Are his sperms resistant to the contraceptives?"

"Julian, do you want me to bear your children?"

Margaret asked warily. Julian suddenly looked at her, smiled coldly, and asked, "Yes. Are there any problems?"

"It’s a big problem!"

Margaret had a troubled expression. She looked at Julian and asked suspiciously, "Are you serious? Do you want me to give you a child?"

She thought, "He had my body, but not my heart. I won’t have a baby with him until I fall in love with him."

But it sounded good to have a child to inherit his family fortune. Looking at her muttering, Julian mocked, "What if you are infertile?"

"What do you mean? If I can’t have a baby, you must be the one to be blamed."

"But I think I’m strong on sex. Do you want to try?"

Julian approached her, snatched the bottle from her hand, and threw it in the trash bin without looking.

"You don’t need such an expensive thing."

Margaret was forced to the corner. She nervously grabbed at the wall and looked around, not daring to meet his gaze. She muttered, "Don’t do that."

"I marry you for doing that legally."

Julian grabbed Margaret’s shoulder. She dodged it in fear. "Julian, stop it. I’m scared. I’m going to cry!"

She had taken his money, but she worried that she could not survive it and spend the money.

Julian glanced at her and poked her head. He said in disgust, "You should use tears to wash your brain,"

He walked to the sofa, continued to read the files on the desk, and said slowly.

"Have you done washing the sheets? Don’t think too much and don’t take any contraceptive precautions, otherwise..." He had an evil grin.

He looked domineering.

He continued, "You’ll be dead!"

His threatening words echoed in her mind.

Margaret felt uneasy about her future. Would she be pregnant in this situation?

Outside a maternity ward in the hospital.

Riya took the test results and hesitated, but she did not enter the room in the end.

Last time, she had just made an appointment with a doctor from the maternity department. Stefan knew that she was pregnant. If she saw a doctor from the department again, all the Marleys would know that.

She was diagnosed by the ultrasonography with six-week ectopic pregnancy, which caused a hemorrhage.

No wonder that she always felt a pain in the belly recently and even began to bleed.

She could not keep this child.

"In the end, we’re not destined to be mother and child."

Riya touched her flat belly. A trace of sadness flickered in her eyes. She quickly tore the result and threw it in the trash bin.

She had thought too much. She had expected that this child could be the start of a new life, but it turned out to be a dream.

Let it be. It was good to be wakened up from a sweet dream before she indulged in it.

After getting into the car, Riya sent a message and soon received a reply. "Are you pregnant? What happened?"

Before Riya could reply, she received another message. "I will arrange the abortion as soon as possible. You can come when you are convenient!"

Riya pressed her lips together and replied, "Okay!"

The sun was shining on her through the window, but she did not feel any warmth. All she could feel was the slight pain in her belly.

She looked at the gate of the hospital and couldn’t help laughing. "I’m an idiot. Who says that when God closes a door, somewhere He opens a window?"

She had been blocked at the door to Bruce’s heart and now the window to Stefan’s heart!

...

Riya wiped the tears on her face. Perhaps it was because of the glaring sun, she could not hold back the tears.

"Riya, you can do it!"

It was still an embryo. She had never seen it and had no feelings for it. It had come unexpectedly. It should have no impact on her life.

Without it, she was still the proud young lady of the Marley family whom no one could afford to offend.

She drove out of the hospital. Well, she could finally be herself now.

She didn’t have to put on light makeup and wear flat shoes for the sake of the baby.

She could drink, go to the bars, and wear whatever clothes or shoes she wanted to wear.

At dawn, Hilla and Bruce returned to the Lakeshore Center.

Last night, she had called Alexa to stay here to accompany Lori. She and Bruce had looked at the stars all night in the park.

It was funny that she didn’t dare to go back to her home.

The car stopped downstairs. Hilla looked at Bruce next to her and said hesitantly, "I should go in myself. When she sees you, she will probably find it harder to accept the truth."

If that person had been Bruce, perhaps Lori would be happier. But it hadn’t been him. Hilla sighed.

She was in a dilemma about whether to tell Lori the truth. She couldn’t help blaming Bruce for this trouble.

Bruce was worried. Although he had a clear conscience, Hilla didn’t want to involve him in it.

He didn’t understand what Hilla was worrying about, but he did as she said.

"I’ll wait for you in the car."

Meeting Bruce’s worried gaze, Hilla smiled, nodded, and got off the car.

Although Lori was not as innocent as she had thought, things had happened and Lori was, after all, a victim. Hilla was not a saint, but she didn’t want Bruce to involve in it and make things more difficult for Lori.

Hilla had just opened the door when she saw Lori sitting on the sofa in the living room with her head down. Seeing Hilla, Lori became nervous.

Alexa was cooking in the kitchen. It smelled delicious and Hilla felt a little hungry.

The meals at home were more delicious than outside.

"Ms. Holt."

Lori stood up and carefully moved aside as if she was afraid that Hilla would rush up and hit her.

Seeing this, Hilla did not feel angry. She just smiled and sat down on the other side, keeping a distance from Lori.

"Hilla, do you want a few more dishes?"

Alexa stepped forward and asked. Hilla shook her head and replied, "Just get Ms. Gilmore’s food ready and make a cup of coffee for me."

She was afraid that Lori would not eat anything if she stayed. Besides, Bruce was waiting downstairs. She did not want him to wait too long.

Alexa hesitated for a moment and nodded, then turned back to the kitchen to continue working.

Hilla’s gaze fell on Lori’s surprised face. Then, a smile came across Hilla’s face.

"I guess you don’t want to have dinner with me now."

Lori’s expression changed. She wrung her hands till the knuckles were white.

She bit her lower lip. When she looked up, her eyes were red and filled with tears.

She looked pitiful.

"Ms. Holt, I am sorry. I know you must be angry with me now. I understand that if you hate me. After all, it was my fault."

She looked sad and regretful.

Tears streamed from her eyes.

Hilla was still wearing a smile as she saw Lori crying and pretending to be regretful.

She felt the scene funny and pathetic. She did not know how to comfort Lori except saying in a soft voice.

She wasn’t good at comforting people.

"Why should I be angry at you? What have you done?"

Hilla asked calmly. Lori, who had been nervous and sobbing, looked up at her in surprise.

Lori was still wearing the cocktail dress last night. It was a purple pleated skirt and a black bottoming, exposing her sexy clavicle. She looked slender and fair in it.

People should look elegant in it. But Lori looked attractive in it because of her fragile temperament.

Such a young girl was indeed charming, especially one who hadn’t had a child or suffered any disappointment in society yet. She was so pure and innocent.

But her temperament of innocence was marred by the kiss marks that she

deliberately showed to Hilla.

Without that special temperament, Lori was less attractive.

"Ms. Holt, are you still blaming me? But I didn’t do it on purpose. I’ve gotten my dress dirty by accident and went to the room to get changed. It was..."

"Someone has raped you, right?"

Hilla interrupted. Looking at Lori’s blushing face, Hilla didn’t feel any pity for her.

"The key card was given by Bruce, so you thought the man must be him. That was why you didn’t resist or say no, right?"

Hilla had known it but didn’t plan to say it at first.

However, she said it in a fit of temper, seeing what Lori had said and done.

If Lori had refused or resisted, Fred would not have made it in that situation.

Hilla did not want to expose it, but she had to make it clear to let Lori give up on Bruce.

Lori had feelings for Bruce.

Lori was stunned for a moment, staring blankly at Hilla, as if she had been shattered by Hilla’s words.

After a long while, she recovered from the shock and forced a smile.

She whispered, "What do you mean? I know things like that would make you mad. You must hate me very much. You can beat me and scold me for that. But is it necessary to say such misleading words?"

"What happened between Mr. Anderson and I was just an accident. You are his wife. He didn’t mean it last night. Ms. Holt, I can accept whatever you have said to me because you are angry. But it has happened. I don’t want to ruin your relationship..."

"But you are doing it!"

Hilla said coldly and glared at her.

Hilla knew that Lori was a victim of this accident and sympathized with her. But it did not mean that Lori could take advantage of it.

"When you said this, you are trying to ruin my relationship with my husband.

"Didn’t you know that the man last night wasn’t Bruce? It’s fine that you don’t want to admit it. But there is one thing I have to remind you that you should call me Mrs. Anderson!"
