Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend

Chapter 298: The Child Doesn’t Have Father

Chapter 298: The Child Doesn’t Have Father

Bruce moved forward. He joked and looked at Hilla.

Hilla believed he was seducing her.

As the president of the Anderson Group, Bruce had money and power, but now he did want rewards from her.

Did he really want a reward or just mess around with her?

Hilla was not an idiot. She looked at him, pouted, and asked mischievously, "What do you want?"

Hilla winked crookedly as she spoke.

Bruce was stunned for a moment and looked at her with his deep eyes.

His sexy Adam’s apple could tell that he was anxious.

Staring at her lips, Bruce said gruffly,

"What can you give?"

He kept touching her beautiful face with one hand.

Hilla exactly knew what he would do after seeing him approaching closer.

She didn’t dodge but smiled more radiantly.

She tilted her head and said gently, "What about sleeping in the study room for seven days?"

He stopped, looked at her red lips, and frowned.

He was so close to her lips that he was unwilling to stop now.

Before he could complain, Hilla pinched his cheeks with both hands.

She said with dissatisfaction, "I said nothing after knowing you had sent another woman home. Now you want a reward?"

He had gone so far.

She was not a doll after all.

Bruce pulled her hands away, held them in his palms, and kissed them.

Her soft hands were such a comfort for him.

"It’s good that you are not angry. I’m going to take a shower now."

Before she could speak, Bruce hugged and kissed her.

Hilla didn’t expect that the man would do that. Just as she was about to speak, Bruce had already turned around and entered the bathroom.

Hilla glared at his back and touched her lips.

She could still feel his soft kiss and smiled.

Hilla couldn’t help but cover her face with the pillow shyly and rolled in the bed.

She had not kissed Bruce for a long time, so she felt so embarrassed.

...

Early the next morning, when Hilla got up, Margaret and Halle were eating breakfast.

Orlenna did not eat breakfast. She played cards with her friends and would look for weeds in the country.

Hilla found that the rich people had no interest in the food in rural areas.

But Orlenna would look for weeds and regard it as a hobby.

Margaret kept suspiciously staring at Hilla who was smiling.

"Hey, what did he do last night?"

After hearing that, Halle coughed unnaturally.

Halle had makeup on and changed her clothes into a new dress with two pearls on it.

They could see her fair skin looming through the dress as she walked.

Halle lowered her head and quietly ate the breakfast in front of her, but she could not taste anything now.

Fortunately, the two people opposite her had no thoughts on her, so they did not notice Halle’s change.

Margaret didn’t pay any attention to her. She approached Hilla and asked, "Did Bruce kneel down and apologize to you?"

In that case, should she prepare some durian or keyboard for Bruce?

Margaret thought about it seriously. After all, it was obvious that Bruce had flattered her well.

They didn’t quarrel or fight last night, and Hilla was shy in the morning.

She didn’t look like a mother of two children. She was sweeter than a girl.

Margaret suddenly thought of an old saying that a woman would be younger after getting laid.

Margaret took a deep breath and stared at Hilla in disbelief. Did Bruce do something to her?

If a man wanted to flatter a woman, he just needed to do well in bed.

Margaret was now completely in awe of Bruce. It was easy for the successor of the

Anderson Group to solve the problem in one night.

Hilla didn’t want to answer her question, so she naturally looked across at Halle.

After seeing her, Hilla was surprised at her changes.

"Halle, you..."

"Halle will pick up Horton in the hospital and get their marriage license. Hilla, why don’t we go with her?"

Halle said it was unlucky for three people to go get the marriage license, so four people would be fine.

Margaret’s eyes lit up, and she decided to go with Hilla.

Hilla was stunned for a moment, then realized that today Halle and Horton would get the marriage license. Halle had told her two days ago, but she had forgotten it because of Lori.

Hilla quickly stood up and said, "I’ll change my clothes. Let’s go together."

Halle wanted to stop Hilla, but before she could speak, Hilla had already gone upstairs.

Halle frowned and looked at her back with concern.

Margaret smiled. It was impossible to leave her out of it.

She always had a way.

Halle’s words would not work on them. Hilla and Margaret drove another car and followed Halle to the hospital.

Horton had changed into a decent suit happily and waited for his beloved girl at the door of the hospital.

...

Halle came out of the car, and Margaret seized Hilla by the arm, saying, "Hilla, we should get out, too."

Hilla frowned slightly, unwilling to disturb Halle and Horton.

She said, "I think we should wait here. It won’t be long."

They were getting married, and it was a big day for them, so They must have something to say.

Hilla was a little worried about Halle not bringing Emily over. She didn’t know if Halle had told Horton everything about Emily.

Margaret was obviously disappointed. She was so curious about how things were going between them.

At last, Horton was going to propose to Halle, and she wanted to see how nervous he could be and saved it for later teasing. While she didn’t expect that Hilla didn’t intend to go upstairs.

Something she had looked forward to for so long was coming and then she was told not to do it, so she had every reason to be unhappy.

"We are already here. Why don’t we just follow them up and have a look?" Margaret pleaded.

"Besides, Horton had his leg hurt. Halle couldn’t bring him out alone, right?" she said.

Hilla could sense that Margaret was particularly into this.

She won’t be so enthusiastic if not for gossips.

Hilla had seen through her and said, "Since my sister has agreed to marry him, then Horton must have already proposed."

Although Halle had told her that it was she who proposed first.

However, Hilla knew very well that Halle would not have offered to propose if Horton had not intentionally guided her or created a romantic mood.

How could someone else understand what was happening between the two of them?

Hilla knew that every decision made by Halle must have come out of careful deliberation. Since her sister was willing to accept a new relationship, she could not spoil their fun.

Not just her, even Margaret, who was beside her, could not meddle in their affairs.

"But how long are we going to wait here?" Margaret asked.

She pulled the corner of her clothes unwillingly and was still very curious. She really wanted to go inside and watch.

"Let’s wait for a while. It won’t be long," Hilla said.

She grinned and turned to look at the hospital. She also hoped that Halle and Horton could get married this time with nothing in their way.

...

In the hospital.

Halle went straight to the elevator and walked towards Horton’s ward.

"Halle!" Titus called out.

Titus’s unsettling voice came from behind. Halle stopped and turned around to look at him, who was rushing towards her. She frowned.

Titus was clearly very happy to see Halle.

While Halle did not know if it was a coincidence or he was actually here waiting for her. Whatever, for some reason this really annoyed her.

She thought that she had already made it very clear to him that they should not see each other again.

But Titus still kept appearing in front of her like this. She didn’t care if it was coincidental or carefully arranged, but she just knew that she didn’t like this.

"I thought you wouldn’t come to the hospital again. I didn’t expect... Are you here to visit your friends?" Titus said.

He was still excited. He even personally thought that the reason why Halle kept appearing at the hospital was that she still had feelings for him, so she seized every opportunity to see him.

Even if Halle no longer loved him, she was not a heartless person. After all, she had loved him for so many years, so he was sure that she had him in her heart.

"My mother’s ward is over there. I think you might come one day, so I wait here for you every day. I didn’t expect that you would really show up. Halle, we..." Titus said.

It’s must be meant to be, otherwise, God would not arrange their meeting again and again when he was in trouble.

He knew that Halle’s studio was getting better, and the Anderson Group was behind her.

Now, Halle was no longer the same as before. Although they were divorced, she was now independent and rich.

"Sorry, I have things to do."

Before Titus could finish his words, Halle interrupted and turned around.

"Wait," Titus said.

He hurried forward to hold Halle’s hand, but Halle pulled away and stood there awkwardly.

"Last time at the hospital, I knew that I had asked too much. It’s understandable that you won’t forgive me, but Mom doesn’t have much time left. Can you forgive her? She really wants to see you and the child," Titus pleaded.

Hearing this, Halle frowned. She could tell that Titus did not tell his mother about Emily.

He was still lying to Spring that Emily was his child.

But he knew that it was impossible for him to... and Emily was indeed not his daughter.

"I’m sorry, we have already divorced. Please don’t disturb us," Halle said.

"Halle, how can you be so cruel? I don’t expect that you would remarry me. I only hope that you and Emily can pretend to forgive my mom, then she could leave peacefully," Titus said.

He gritted his teeth and muttered, "I am a useless man. The fact that I can’t have children won’t be changed. I deserve to be lonely for the rest of my life. But mom is dying and she just wants to see Emily one more time. I promise that I won’t bother you anymore after this."

"There are so many children in this world. Why it must be me and Emily?" Halle said.

Her voice was low and she didn’t want to hurt him.

She had nothing to do with the Tyson family anymore, but after all, they were family once. Even if they were strangers, she would pity them.

"I know that I had done something wrong. I thought that we could get married again, so I lied to mom that Emily was our daughter. I thought mom would treat you two better if we remarried," Titus said.

But he never thought that Halle was so determined to leave him, not giving him the chance to get back at all.

He and Halle didn’t remarry, and Spring was terminally ill and dying.

Issues in the past had passed when people were dying. Now, Spring only wanted to see the only child, Emily, of the Tyson family.

"Trust me. I really meant good for you and Emily. I wanted to remarry you and live a peaceful life with you and Emily," he continued.

When he knew that Halle had given birth to a daughter and Emily did not have a father, he had those plans in his heart.

She was a divorced woman with a fatherless child and she herself was worthless, so who would want her?

He thought Halle would be happy if he treated her and her daughter well enough.

But it turned out that she was not.

"I’m sorry. I really can’t help you with this. Moreover, my husband won’t be happy if his daughter calls someone else father," Halle said.

Husband?

Titus was stunned for a moment. He did not believe that Halle was married and she must be lying to him.

That child didn’t have a father!
