Chapter 255: Who Can Compare to Master Coleman
Chapter 255: Who Can Compare to Master Coleman
"Just to fight over a woman, someone’s life is gone?" Claire Ford frowned, "That’s taking life too lightly.""Sigh, that guy’s unlucky. After the new amendment came out, all the people from Veridian Isle who got caught were sentenced to death," Rory sighed, "Not only did he lose the woman, but he also lost his life."
"This person is disgusting," Beatrice Fawcett said coldly, her gaze falling on the two of them. No matter where Master Coleman was, one hand ventured into the girl’s skirt, groping wantonly.
"Forget it; however Young Master Coleman plays has nothing to do with us, no need to disgust ourselves. Let me show you other rich second-generation types; they’re from the most elite circles in Sovereign, look, that one... Shit!"
Ronan Yates was lazily leaning against the railing but suddenly spotted someone and exclaimed.
"What’s wrong with you?" Everyone asked, puzzled.
"Quick, look! That’s brother-in-law!" Ronan Yates pointed to a corner.
Everyone looked over.
The lighting in The Defiance Bar was dim, with only some dazzling light strips darting around.
Business was booming at The Defiance Bar, and everyone gathered to have fun. There were a lot of people, but in such a place, there seemed to be a vacuum zone centered around him.
Surrounding that booth were many well-trained, upright men, standing straight with hands behind their backs, expressions serious. The suit-clad bodies looked very much like bodyguards.
In the middle, the large, spacious leather sofa seated only one man.
He sat there, his expression hidden in the dim light, unclear, leaning lazily against the back of the sofa, legs crossed. There was a glass of bright red wine, but he didn’t drink.
Just by sitting there, his aura was enough to keep people around from daring to approach.
Although nobody could recognize him, Ronan Yates determined with certainty that this was indeed his brother-in-law.
The girls in the dance floor also sensed this man’s nobility, revealing their best angles to try to approach, but were emotionlessly rejected by the bodyguards.
The man just sat there, seemingly unaware of these eager girls, turning the wine glass in his hand, appearing to be watching in the direction of the dance floor, unreadable.
"Wow, brother-in-law even came to support you."
Rory was surprised.
"No way, Seraphina didn’t even come, how could brother-in-law come to support my event," Ronan Yates didn’t believe it, "Why don’t we go have a look? If it really is brother-in-law, we’ll have to go greet him."
Couldn’t afford to make brother-in-law unhappy; his fingers couldn’t take being twisted a second time.
They’d break!
"Alright." Beatrice Fawcett agreed; after all, it’s brother-in-law, such courtesy was necessary.
Just as everyone was preparing to head downstairs, suddenly Claire Ford shouted, "Oh my god! Look who that is?"
Claire Ford’s voice was loud, giving everyone a fright.
Without bothering, they all craned their necks looking out, seeing a slender figure emerging from the decadent darkness.
Someone rubbed their eyes, trying hard to see clearly.
It was a tall woman dressed in a white tracksuit.
She was wrapped up tightly, the zipper pulled high, and her long hair was tied up. This silhouette was striking not just because of her clothes but her unusually styled appearance.
Who dresses like this to a bar? Might as well say she’s going to school.
She wore a cartoon-printed mask, revealing only a pair of bright, sparkling eyes.
"Damn! Seraphina?"
Everyone looked at each other, completely stunned.
"What are they up to? Is this meant to surprise you?" Beatrice Fawcett didn’t understand. Didn’t they say they weren’t coming?
"How should I know?" Ronan Yates was the most surprised.
Was that really Seraphina? He’d never seen her dressed like that.
The woman downstairs was indeed Seraphina Redgrave, venturing out for the first time since Zachary Zane’s death, leaving Hibiscus Garden.
She immediately spotted the man and woman in the middle; the woman was the one from the photo Zachary pasted above his bed.
Back then, that woman was kissing Zachary Zane’s cheek, and now, with a rich second-generation, twisting provocatively in the dance floor, tacitly allowing the man’s obscene actions.
She just watched the passionately swaying couple.
People around them continued cheering, the atmosphere growing increasingly lively, on the verge of reaching a climax.
The DJ had finished a song, yet they showed no signs of stopping, with people eagerly trailing behind Master Coleman towards the exit.
Seraphina Redgrave was jostled and stumbled a few steps due to the crowd surrounding her.
"Don’t talk nonsense, Melody’s very clean. I even took her for a check-up at the hospital before; the bastard wasn’t contaminated, whoever spreads such lies, I’ll kill you." Young Master Coleman threatened, raising his fist to intimidate the sycophants around him.
Seraphina Redgrave listened to their talk, her expression indifferent.
"Don’t worry, Master Coleman, if anyone spreads rumors again, we’ll ensure he can’t walk," an oily man flattered, "Master Coleman, I heard that bastard is already dead?"
"Yeah, but it only took one shot, a real bargain for him."
Young Master Coleman, full of pride, kissed the woman beside him, "Dare to fight me over a woman, he doesn’t have any self-awareness, running out from Veridian Isle with what qualifications? He should have been grateful that I had my eyes on his woman."
The woman in his arms stiffened slightly, but still obediently smiled.
Someone nearby joked, "Melody, you are really ruthless. Even though you once loved him, you sent him to the gallows, how impressive."
The woman named Melody Lockwood leaned against Young Master Coleman, trying hard to smile naturally, but there was still a bit of stiffness, "He had no self-awareness and, despite his lack of capability, spoke big words. How could he be better than Master Coleman?"
"Exactly," the people around chimed in.
The death of a person from Veridian Isle didn’t matter to them at all.
Seraphina Redgrave stood less than five meters away from them, having heard everything, her eyes like a dead water, empty of light.
After a while, she picked up her phone and called Ronan Yates.
"Hey! Seraphina, it’s really you! Damn, I’m so excited!" Ronan Yates’ loud voice wasn’t drowned out by the music at all.
Seraphina Redgrave held the phone to her lips, not saying whether she came or not, she looked obliquely ahead, coldly saying, "Ronan, you might not be able to run business today. If there’s any loss, I will compensate, I’ll give you another venue if this one is wrecked."
She couldn’t wait any longer.
