Chapter 60: CELESTE
Chapter 60: CELESTE
This was one of the five spires in the Order of Truth, and arguably the strongest.
Silas looked up and saw several cultivators flying in the sky.
Not just them, flying beasts and cars also roamed the sky.
"I have never tried flight since I advanced," Silas muttered with a smile.
In the same instant, his body began to lift off the floor slowly.
His face bloomed into a smile when he felt it.
With a thought, he increased the speed, shooting into the sky in an instant.
His eyes focused on the spire, and his mind locked onto it.
His body, fully under the control of his mind, tore through the air towards the spire.
His eyes widened as he realized how fast he was moving.
He willed himself to stop but the speed was just too great.
He was mere inches away from a floating platform.
Silas closed his eyes as he braced for impact.
"How do you have a tier 10 privilege and be unable to fly?" The sweet, calm, melodic voice sounded curiously above Silas.
Slowly, he opened his eyes.
His eyes widened as he saw a face so close to him that he could feel her breath.
It was a girl with a somewhat childish face.
Silas was so shocked that he pushed her away.
But he made a mistake.
His body, no longer carried by the girl, began to fall to the ground at a speed that drew attention from everyone around.
"Tch! Young Mistress Celeste, you can’t keep helping everyone."
The voice, cold and condescending, sounded behind Silas’s ears as his body was snatched mid air.
The person dropped him on the floor calmly, then stepped back.
As he did, the same girl who had saved Silas earlier landed regally.
A smile was on her face as she looked at the man who had saved Silas.
"Levi, can’t you see his collar? He has a tier 10 privilege. He’s definitely not ordinary," she said in his defense.
Silas shook his head as he looked at both of them.
The girl was quite tall, almost the same height as him. She had golden hair that cascaded down her back, with large golden pupils.
She wore a blue top and white baggy trousers.
The man on the other hand seemed more reserved compared to her.
His sharp blue eyes seemed to pierce through a person’s soul. His silver hair stopped just behind his neck. With a glance, one would know that it had been carefully taken care of.
He was adorned in a white shirt and black trousers. A black coat was draped over him, with a sword sheathed by his side.
His hand rested calmly on its hilt.
"Sorry about that," the girl said to Silas, turning back to him with a smile.
Silas nodded, already thinking of a way to excuse himself.
"I am Celeste," the girl said, oblivious to Silas’s thoughts.
She extended her hand, which Silas received calmly.
He tried to hide his shame after a miserable flight.
"This is Levi," she said, pointing at Levi, who stood calmly at the back with a hand resting on the hilt of his sword.
Silas nodded.
"I am Silas. Thanks for saving me," Silas said.
Levi did not so much as twitch at Silas’s words, his eyes as straight as ever.
"You’re welcome," Celeste quickly said with a wide smile.
"I am in a hurry, so I would be leaving now," Silas said.
"Oh, you’re uncomfortable with me already?" Celeste taunted, leaning closer.
"No, no, I am truly in a hurry," Silas said in defense.
"Hmm, okay," Celeste said.
"At least, we can share contacts," she said, her large eyes locking into Silas’s.
Silas could not ignore such eyes.
"Sure," he said, sharing his ID with her.
She smiled as she saved it. "Bye bye," she waved as she flew off.
Levi stood a little longer, his gaze focused on Silas with deep scrutiny.
Then he shot off into the sky.
It was a brief moment, barely a second.
But in that second, Silas felt a suffocating weight crash into him. He felt smaller than an ant facing an elephant. Even that was too generous in explaining the feeling.
He stood rooted in place, unable to muster the strength to move.
"Master Silas," Rion’s voice suddenly jolted him awake.
Silas blinked, regaining control over himself.
"What the hell just happened?" He muttered, unable to shake the lingering feeling away.
After a few moments, his mind finally stabilized.
He began to walk towards the entrance slowly.
In the sky, Celeste and Levi floated calmly, as if the concept of gravity had no meaning to them.
"Why did you do that?" Celeste asked, turning to Levi with a furious gaze that made the atmosphere turn cold.
Levi looked at Celeste with gentle eyes.
"I was only testing him, Young Mistress," Levi replied slowly.
The sudden shift in temperature had no effect on him in the slightest.
"Oh, testing someone who is only at the Mortal Realm with your Stellar Realm power?" Celeste replied with an icy tone, turning back fully.
A fiery aura emanated from her.
But despite everything that was happening there, no one saw them. It appeared as though they were in an entirely separate dimension from those beneath.
"He has a tier 10 privilege. Do I need to keep reminding you of that? And seeing as he is only in the Mortal Realm, it means that he achieved it with his own skills."
Levi did not utter a word. He let Celeste pour everything in her mind out fully before he made a single statement.
"I am sorry."
Silas entered the spire, his view shifting instantly.
It felt like he had walked through a bubble and entered a new world.
The place bustled with people of different human subspecies.
Silas was fascinated by the sight.
The place functioned like a mini planet on its own.
Several exhibition cases showcased various works alongside their creators.
In other cases, scientists were experimenting.
Silas’s eyes were wide open as he took in the place.
Instead of getting tired, it excited him more.
