Chapter 112: Exquisitor Leaderboard

As soon as Eldritch Arms was registered with the Prime System, its name popped up in the Exquisitor Leaderboard.

The Exquisitor Leaderboard listed all the current registered minor dimensions and worlds.

Minor Worlds consisted of world with the maximum being at Rank-4. Above that, they would be listed as Medium Worlds and would be visible in another Leaderboard.

Within the Minor Worlds, there were also smaller levels. These were categorized based on Rank and arranged into Rank-1, Rank-2, Rank-3, and Rank-4.

A Minor World of Rank-1 didn’t mean that they had a Rank-1 Awaken. It meant that the related world could reliably produce Rank-1 Awaken.

So a Rank-4 Minor World would have a lot of Rank-4 beings within it.

Usually, New Worlds were always being projected very low in the Leaderboard.

Exquisitor had 999,999 Minor Worlds. Over half of it were Non-Supernatural or Very Low-Supernatural World. However, these worlds had a lot of resources so higher Rank Worlds would keep them to farm.

This was the same case with Cyber Runner, a Rank-3 World. They had many Rank-2, Rank-1, and even Rank-0 Non-Supernatural Worlds to collect resources from.

Now, usually no one would care about a New World. But they couldn’t stay calm since the moment of its registration, Eldritch Arms was listed as a Rank-4 World.

In the Prime Aquarium, a bar and inn between worlds, Primers gasped when they noticed the new world being announced.

"The hell? A new world and it’s already within Top 10,000? This must be rigged."

"It should be understandable if it’s belong to some large faction. No, wait... Why doesn’t any faction claim ownership of this world?"

"Maybe it’s just an independent world? Let’s see how long its World Barrier lasts... Sheesh! Six years? This must belong to some large faction for sure!"

"There are weak Rank-4 and there are powerful Rank-4. Their world might be projected as Rank-4, bu they may just have a way to mass produce Fake Rank-4. A few worlds did that to achieve that Rank."

"Welp! Whatever the case. We won’t be able to visit it for another six years. Unless the owner decide to open up their world."

"Why is there nothing in the name of the owner?"

Lucius took the glass of whiskey and chugged it down in one go. His long hair rested at either side of his shoulder.

"Eldritch Arms? Maybe I’ll find a way to infiltrate it. There’s always a way, even with a World Barrier."

Carter did not know the huge uproar he caused among the Minor Worlds. If he did, he wouldn’t care as well.

At this time, he was busy arranging a funeral for himself. It’s a funny feeling actually, playing a character, seeing them die with your own point of view, and now witnessing an entire world cried for their loss.

It was what Carter had always wanted to do. To actually moved people with his acting, to become an entire different person, and to affected the fate of the world with his roles.

He still had questions about what had happened. His question marks ability. That thing was unimaginative.

It literally rewrote reality to fit the character Carter had made up.

But that would be too powerful. Maybe it didn’t do that. Maybe it just make him lost in the character. And the Skin was simply generated by the aspects that this world already had.

Whatever the case was, Carter couldn’t find out why at the moment. He needed to become stronger.

The funeral of Zeneros Blackburn was broadcast worldwide. Everyone attended it. If they weren’t there physically, they would stand in front of their houses with their radios, or they would watch the live feed on their television.

Carter stood on the high platform looking out to the huge crowd that extended for miles. It was the largest amount of people he had ever seen.

General Dragovic was making a speech about Zeneros’s sacrifice. Then Neros came on to say some words. Then Piper. Priest Oliphim. A few people that were saved by Zeneros.

’Ugh! I hate ceremony. Can we move this on?’

And then, General Dragovic introduced Carter.

"Beside me is Carter Caine. You may know him as a billionaire. He is a charitable person and a humbled human. He used his wealth to find ways for us to become stronger. He was the first that ever believed in Zeneros. He was his closest friend."

General Dragovic stepped aside for Carter to say something.

There were many ways Carter thought the script may go. But those were just too long. In his mind, the shortest was the sweetest.

"In honor of Zeneros Blackburn, the Raven Knight. Today I shall make the same vow he made. I vow to protect the innocent. I vow to strike down evil. And I vow to vanquish the deceptor." He raised his hand.

Carter was just trying to get his over quick. But for some reasons, people cried.

’Eh? Sometimes I acted my heart our and you didn’t even blink. The audience is always weird.’

The crowd raised their hands and repeated his vow. An entire generation of human had now walked the path of the Eldritch Knight.

Afterward, Carter returned to his mansion. The fortress Kaito made around had been removed. Terrors were no more. There were still a few lurking around but without the Gold Stream, the Invokers and Priests could kill them for good.

The streets became safer. The night was no longer full of Terror. This world slowly returned to what a modern 21st century would be.

As for Carter, he rubbed his hands together greedily.
