Power was still the most important thing. And the skin that would raise Carter’s power to the highest was Eldritch Knight.

He had 26 Eldritch Knight Token. With the Skin itself meant he had 27 copies. 27 copies were just enough to raise a skin to the next Rank.

’Feeding all 27 tokens to become 27 skins will cost quite a lot. But I have almost 3,000 Terror Shards. Those would make 300 Awaken Skins. If I can’t get to Champion with 300 freaking Skins, then this thing is rigged!’

The first Eldritch Knight Token already had 59.25% in it. Each Major Mortal contributed around 1.2%. Theoretically speaking, Minor Awaken should contribute 3.7% each and Carter only needed around 11 Awaken Skins to make an identical Eldritch.

The Skin Forge appeared and Carter dropped in the Minor Terror Shards.

[Skin Printer]: Only usable for skin lines in a specific rank with a complete Glossary. Host may print an exact skin that they have gotten before and removed the randomness of Skin Forge. The cost is the same.

The first three he had was Forge, Fusion, ans Graft. Those were easy to understand, make a skin, raise a skin level, and put power from another skin to a different one.

The next three was a little bit more complicated. Glossary was just an unlocked skin list. Converter was a tool to make Minor Shards into Medium and Major Shards or in contrast, break Major Shards into more Medium or Minor Shards. Printer was just the Skin Forge but it removed the randomness from skin line that would give random skin, like Terror or Undead.

Carter got his head around the new functions then shoved them away.

’I don’t care at the moment.’

The Skin Fusion reappeared. Carter licked his lips.

’Come! Champion Eldritch Knight!’

The 27 copies, including the original one, fell into the colorful vortex.

Fusing Eldritch Knight would reset its Synchronization. But Carter didn’t worry about it. As long as Eldritch Knight grew more powerful, he could always farm for more Synchronization later.

"What was that?" Nina looked to the sky in confusion.

Priest Oliphim and his followers had abandoned the Manac Religion and formed a new religion, they called this Eldritch Priests. All the priests now trained so that one day when an Eldritch Knights appeared, they would become his support.

Oliphim looked up to the sky. His religion had told him something.

"He has returned." Oliphim smiled. Then the man lowered his head. He intended to keep this premonition a secret. The world didn’t need the Eldritch Knight yet.

Carter frowned. He also didn’t know what happened.

The black swordsman looked at himself in the mirror.
