The head of the witch rolled on the grounds. Her giant purple eye slowly lost its light.

Carter squatted down and turned the Terror Witch into Skin Shards. The Terrors seemed to be forming a kind of society on their own. It was the only explanation why they sent the Terror Witch in first.

[+1 Minor Terror Shard (Elite)]

’My first ever Elite Shard. Need to collect 9 more for a Skin Forge.’

Carter then continued to collect shards from the Terrors he had killed. This cost him a few more hours.

’This part is so tedious.’

Once he finished cleaning up the city, the sun had risen. The white swordsman walked back to where the Invokers and Priests had gathered the innocents. His stomach growled.

’Adrenaline and Evaporative Decompression are good. But that cost too much money. I should create something that can provide a lot of energy. Maybe Shadow Apothecary can figure something out?’

The innocents were gathered in a shelter. The new President of the East Continent was sending out aircraft to pick up the survivors and moved them to a safer area.

"Last night was unbelievable, Zen." Neros stood beside him, looking over the survivors. "I feel like you become even stronger."

"Maybe I am."

Carter’s eyes were flashing all kinds of color.

"Huh?"

Carter dropped down from the platform and walked toward a group of survivors.

Neros frowned. He already knew that something was wrong.

"It’s Master Blackburn! It’s the Eldritch Knight." Someone shouted.

They gathered around him. Suddenly, a red aura shot out from Carter and pushed everyone around.

He didn’t say anything. Only continue walking. No one stood in his way now. They only held their breaths in waiting.

"What’s happening?" Piper whispered to Neros.

Neros shook his head. "I don’t know. But tell everyone to get ready. I have a bad feeling."

Carter approached a family. He squatted down to a little girl and patted her.

"Are you alright?" Carter said gently. He shared a kind smile to her.

The girl raised her hand. "I’m totally alright! Because you’re here now!"

The girl jumped to him and hugged him. "I’m so glad that the famous knight is here to save us."

Carter patted the girl back. He put her down and wiped the dirt off her face.

"Emily! Don’t cause trouble to the knight!" Her mother came and reached her hand out to her.

Carter slapped the mother’s hand away. His kind gaze turned ferocious immediately. The mother shrank back.

"I’m sorry!" The mother scratched her head. She didn’t know what’s wrong.

"Huh?" Emily turned over but Carter covered her eyes.

"Mommy and Daddy need to speak with me a little bit. You go over there with Piper, alright? She’s the kind Invoker lady."

Carter pulled the girl toward Piper and whispered to her, "Get her out of here quick and covered her eyes."

Piper nodded.

The other survivors slowly stepped away from the Mother and the Father. They had sense something wrong as well.

The Invokers and Priests made a circle around the parents.

The two parents hugged each other in fear, "What are you doing? We didn’t do anything wrong."

No one answered them.

Neros turned to Carter, "Are they..."

Carter nodded. In his Living Sense, these two people were not registered as living beings. That could only mean one thing.

They were replaced by Skinwalkers.

The survivors immediately ran away once they saw Carter’s confirmation. The Invokers pulled out their brushes.

"You’re scaring us!" The Mother shouted. "We didn’t do anything wrong!"

Carter unsheathed the Prisoner. "You did something wrong. Your existence already made you wrong, Terrors."

The Father inhaled deeply, "How did you know? Human shouldn’t be able to tell us apart."

"Let just say I have a unique sense about you Terrors."

The parents hissed. Their tongue darted out like a snake.

"They’re Elite Rank! Keep yourself safe! Do not engage!" Carter shouted.

The red aura enveloped him as he dashed straight as the Father.

"Prisoner Unbound!" He summoned the Raven Armor in mid-air.

The Raven Knight spun and thrashed the heavy broadsword toward the Father.

The skin on the Father’s forearms turned into green scales as he used it to block Carter’s strike. His two arms were disconnected with the swing.

The Father growled loudly.

"How can this be?"

The Mother aimed her mouth at Carter. He didn’t know what she was going to do but he wouldn’t allow it.

Carter kicked her face, causing her to spit out an acidic sphere at the Father. It burned him.

"You stupid bitch!" The Father yelled.

Carter’s left hand clenched into a fist as he punched the living hell out of the Father and sent him flying into the wall. The Father sank into the wall.

The Mother widened her eyes. Before she could do anything, black feathers pierced through her and dug out countless holes.

"So strong! So quick! We can’t win!"

The Mother turned around to runaway. An Elite Terror.

’So weak. I thought they would be much stronger. Or is it because I have become too strong?’

Carter dashed forward and grabbed the Mother’s head. He scraped it on the ground, peeling off the fake skin of the Terror.

The Terror was revealed. Another big eye in the middle of their forehead. This time it was red.

Carter pinned the Mother Terror on the ground and punched her repeatedly. There was rage in his motion.

"What did you do that girl’s parents?" He punched.

"Tell me now!" He punched.

"Tell me!" He punched.

Neros clenched the brush in his hand. He understood why Zeneros was so weird before.

"That girl..." Neros felt the rage that he thought Carter felt.

The Father returned and grabbed Carter. But he couldn’t move him.

Carter spun around and elbowed the Father Terror, causing his head to spin around. A human should have died already. But he didn’t.

Carter kicked the Father Terror to the air. He then jumped up and sliced the Father into two pieces. His body flopped to the ground at either side.
