I Picked the Useless Class… Turns Out It's the Most Broken in the Game

Chapter 89: Channel Your Mana, Darian.

Chapter 89: Channel Your Mana, Darian.

Leon gave a quick look at him, expecting Darian to do something regarding the situation. But he didn’t move, nor did he speak.

’What’s wrong with him? He’s simply standing there as if he’s dead.’

Leon’s eyes remained fixed on him, and more thoughts curled inside his mind. ’Well, he technically is dead...’

He let a sigh escape through his mouth as he said. "Are you done looking at me, Darian?"

Darian froze, Jai’s eyes widened as he realised that he had been staring at Leon mindlessly. He didn’t waste a second as he got on his knees, keeping his sword in front of him.

The moment the mana-sensed weapon touched the liquid, it created a loud CLANKING!! noise.

Leon’s expressions didn’t faze him for even a second, but a curiosity piqued inside of him. ’A clanking noise? That sword touched the liquid, and still?’

He shook his head lightly, letting the curiosity get off his mind for the moment. His voice came out low, but the authority remained intact. "What are you trying to do in front of me, Darian?" He asked.

"My liege, this unworthy knight has committed a grave transgression. I dared to raise my gaze and behold the sovereign light of your eyes." He took a small pause, clenched his fists as he continued.

"I place my fate in your hands. Grant me punishment befitting my crime, and I shall accept it with gratitude." He said, his voice carried the sense of loyalty.

Leon’s eyes remained fixed on him, but no words seemed to come through his vocals. But his mind was full of thoughts.

’He’s loyal, a little too loyal. Asking for execution as if he had committed a felony.’

His lips parted, voice came out low, but the authority remained intact. "Get back up, Darian."

Darian’s expression finally twitched, and a sudden sense of confusion took over him. He lifted his head back up, looking at Leon.

"Master, but-" before he could even finish, Leon’s words cut in. "You’re trying to question me?" He asked, looking at Darian with an expressionless look in his eyes.

Darian shot back to his feet. His sword rose into the air on its own, hovering for a heartbeat before snapping cleanly back into his grasp.

Darian’s head remained directed towards the ground, he wasn’t able to gather enough courage to lift it back up.

Leon’s eyes scanned him whole, and at last fell on Darian’s expressions, which weren’t giving too much intel about him, but it was enough for Leon to know about Darian’s actual feelings.

’Look at him... feeling sad after I increased my voice slightly.’

’I don’t know why, but I see a golden retriever inside of him.’

He chuckled lightly, letting his cold demeanour fade for a while. Leon raised his hand and covered his mouth with his fingers as he chuckled for a while.

Darian looked at him; the feeling of sadness disappeared, but the unwavering confusion fell upon him once again.

"My liege, did I do something foolish?" He asked, his voice carrying worry inside of it.

Leon shook his head, wiping the little tears which just welled up inside his eyes because of sudden happiness.

"No, it’s fine. Don’t think too much regarding this." He said, waving his hand.

"Wait!" Leon muttered, eyes widened slightly asa few beads of sweat covered his temple.

"I have to find a solution regarding the mana exposure which my body is suffering." He said.

Darian simply looked at him without saying anything, palm resting on the hilt of his sword.

"Darian, tell me the method." He said, determined.

Darian simply gave a nod, stepping forward as he bowed his head lightly. "My liege, pardon my behaviour."

He made his way behind Leon, grabbed his sword’s hilt tightly as he swung it downwards. The moment the sword made contact with the liquid, a loud metallic sound filled the air. The next moment, the sword was struck inside the liquid, standing vertically.

His eyes drifted towards Leon’s back, extended his hand slowly towards his back as he touched him.

"My liege, I’m going to channel my mana inside of your mana core."

Leon’s eyebrow twitched as he said. "How? We already are inside of my core, aren’t we?"

"My liege, we surely are. But your consciousness is connected directly to your core. If I channel mana into your consciousness, then it’ll definitely get channelled inside of your core." He said.

Leon gulped once, as multiple thoughts filled his mind. ’I hope that nothing bad happens, I don’t want to die in this situation.’

He shook his head lightly. ’What am I thinking right now? Darian would prefer dying instead of watching me die. He’ll give his best in doing this.’

"Let’s start then, Darian," Leon said, determination started to fill his eyes.

Without muttering anything else, Darian started to let his mana slowly leave through his palm and enter the body of Leon.

The moment his mana entered Leon’s body, Leon felt a sudden surge of excruciating pain. His muscles started to tighten up, his teeth gritting, but he clenched his fists as tightly as he could to withstand the pain.

’I’ve seen this thing multiple times in video games, that if you move while someone is passing their mana inside of your core...’

’You might die, or the worst case is that you stay alive with a shattered mana core. And I clearly don’t want any of them.’

He let a short sigh escape through his mouth, and the next moment, he took a deep breath as he muttered. "Don’t stop until it’s over, Darian."

Darian didn’t react to his words, but he kept channelling his mana into Leon’s body.

His mana travelled through Leon’s veins, going directly towards his core and the moment it made contact with Leon’s core.

A huge surge of dark purple waves started to escape through Leon’s body. The waves tried to make Darian push back, but he refused to do so.
