I Picked the Useless Class… Turns Out It's the Most Broken in the Game

Chapter 85: Artefact.

Chapter 85: Artefact.

He let out a small sigh, gaze still fixed on her. ’She looks like an angel when she’s asleep... and when she’s not.’

Multiple memories flashed through his brain at once as he shook his head. ’I don’t even want to think about that.’

Before he could think any longer, a voice fell inside his head, as his gaze shifted towards the direction from where the voice just come.

Valexeria was standing there, arms crossed, gaze fixed at Leon as her expression remained cold.

"Ragnar." She said.

He put on a fake smile on his face, voice came. "Yes, tower master?" His tone was polite, bowing lightly.

"You don’t have to do the formal gesture anymore," she took a small pause, stepped forward.

And continued. "I got a letter from the mage society." She said.

Strands of mana started to cover around her hand, and the moment they disappeared, a letter appeared in her hand.

"A letter from the mage society?" He muttered.

"And why are you showing that to me, Valexeria?"

It didn’t take him long enough to adjust from formal to casual speech; it seemed as if he was waiting for the exact moment to do that.

"Why am I showing you? Did you forget that you’re the one who possesses the necromancy grimoire?" She said.

"That’s enough reason for me to tell you about this."

"And pack your stuff, we’ll be leaving in a while." She added.

"Leaving? To where? And why?" He asked, voice remaining neutral.

"It’s unusual for them to send letters like this, and the reason isn’t stated in it." She said.

A sigh left through his mouth, closed his eyes. ’Again I have to work.’

"Okay, I’ll go pack my stuff." He said, turned towards the route from which he came, and started walking.

He reached the male dorm rooms and made his way inside.

His gaze fell on the stuff of his, which was scattered all over the room. He didn’t waste time, as he started picking all of it.

He packed the stuff in a backpack and muttered. "Put in inventory."

A subspace appeared next to him, blue mana erupting through its inside. He picked up the bag and threw it inside.

"Packing the stuff is complete... I should make my way outside now."

He locked the dorm, placed the key inside the key box, which was kept next to the door.

He made his way towards the hall, eyes fell on Valexeria, who was already standing there.

She was wearing her usual purple clothing, but this time an extra accessory was added. A long white cloak, with bright purple engravings were tucked on her shoulders.

Leon let a smile tug on his lips and made his way towards her. "Shall we start moving?" He asked.

She nodded. "Ragnar, we will not be taking the normal route." She said.

"What do you mean by that?" His eyebrow raised lightly as he asked.

She snapped her fingers together. An artifact which seemed to be really expensive appeared next to her, it was made out of a huge shell, and a stone which was radiating dense mana was placed into the shell.

After summoning the artifact, she remained standing there without doing anything.

Leon’s eyes scanned her whole, as a thought curled inside his head.

’She’s not doing anything? What’s the purpose of summoning the artifact then?’

Time passed, and then the noise of the footsteps fell inside their ears. They seemed to be rushed, and panic was clearly audible in the rhythm.

Sia appeared through the door which led to the other room of the tower, and she rushed her way towards them.

Stopped few meters away from them, leaned in as she grabbed her knees and started panting roughly.

"I-I’m s-sorry, tower master." She muttered, voice shaky. The uncertain rhythm of her heart was clearly audible.

Valexeria didn’t say anything for a while, but then finally her voice came. "It’s fine,"

"Now charge the artifact, we’re already running out of time." She said, authority was filled in her tone.

Sia gave a single nod and quickly made her way towards the artifact. Her hand reached inside her pocket, and she pulled out a tube.

The tube seemed to have a magic core inside of it. She plucked the top open and poured the small pieces of it on top of the artifact.

Suddenly, multiple echoes started to fill the air. Mana had started to flow through the artifact at a crazy pace, covering the entire room.

Valexeria’s head moved towards Leon as she said. "Let’s not waste any more of our time."

The moment she said that, she moved towards the artifact and touched the top of it.

Mana wrapped around her body completely, and the moment it disappeared, she wasn’t there anymore.

An amused expression appeared on his face as a thought curled inside his head.

’Oh, so it’s a teleporting artifact.’

He followed the steps which Valexeria did, and soon after, mana had also wrapped around his body.

And then, it engulfed him whole, leaving nothing behind. Only Sia remained inside the room, and Synthi, who was still lost in her sleep.

When he opened his eyes, he noticed that he wasn’t inside the hall anymore. His surroundings had changed completely.

He scanned the surroundings completely. They were standing in the middle of a vast area. Ground was covered with marble of the colour grey, and there were some chairs kept next to them.

And when he turned his head to see behind him, he noticed that there was a huge door, and the inside of it was shining brightly with mana.

’Hmm, that looks like a portal.’

He noticed that Valexeria was standing next to him, her arms crossed as her usual demeanour remained intact.

She simply batted a look at Leon, but remained silent.
