I Don't Want To Be An Omega In My Sister's Trashy Reverse Harem [BL]

Chapter 205: A Deal Between Monsters!

Chapter 205: A Deal Between Monsters!

Rin blinked again and again. He still couldn’t believe what was in front of him. He rubbed his eyes with the back of his uhand like someone trying to wake from a strange dream.

"This has to be fake," he muttered. "No... Maybe it’s an illusion or I’m dreaming."

The talk and broad-shouldered man kneeling before him was naked without a hint of shame and smiling calmly, as if nothing about this situation was strange.

"Niblet?" Rin said again, slower this time. "You... you’re calling me master? And most of all, you could shape shift?"

Cerberus lifted his head slightly, his dark eyes steady. "Yes."

"Why and how didn’t I know about that? You were hiding the truth from me all this time?"

"I apologise, Master."

"Oh my God!" Rin let out a short, shaky laugh. "No. That’s wrong. Your master is Asmodeus not me."

Cerberus’s smile faded just a little.

"I... I really am sorry."

Rin swallowed and looked away. His mind was racing, trying to make sense of everything. He grabbed the thin cloth that had been covering his face earlier and threw it at Cerberus.

"Cover yourself," Rin said quickly. "You’re distracting."

Cerberus laughed, as he reached for the cloth.

"I didn’t realise I was naked."

He wrapped the cloth loosely around his waist, not even bothering to tie it properly. Rin wanted to tell him to tie it properly but he was sure that Niblet didn’t care about his nakedness since he was a dog. Dogs are mostly naked, and their fur is like their clothes. He shook his head and kept whatever he wanted to say to himself.

Rin crossed his arms. "Now talk. Why are you here? How is it even possible that you’re here?"

Cerberus sat on the edge of the bed, close but not touching. "I know it’s complicated but I came here to protect you."

Rin tilted his head. "Protect me? From who? Your master?"

Cerberus nodded slowly. "Yes. I came here to protect you from him."

Rin stared at him, stunned. "That doesn’t make sense. Why would you come here to do that? Are you disobeying him?"

"I came here without Asmodeus knowing," Cerberus said calmly. "I don’t agree with what he’s doing. I wish I had never been part of it."

Rin frowned. "When you mean part of it... You mean killing humans. Burning towns."

"Yes."

Cerberus’s voice remained steady, but there was tension beneath it.

"This isn’t what he wanted in the beginning," Cerberus continued. "And as I said, it’s also not what I want."

Rin leaned back against the headboard and let out a tired sigh. "He’s coming here for me."

"I know."

"He won’t kill me," Rin added quietly. "He made that clear."

Cerberus looked at him sharply. "That doesn’t make it better."

Rin clenched his fingers. "I’m not worried about myself."

He looked toward the window, where faint moonlight slipped through the curtains.

"I’m worried about everyone else," Rin said. "If giving myself up would end the war, I’d do it."

Cerberus shook his head. "But you know you won’t."

Rin looked back at him. "I know that. You don’t have to remind me."

There was silence between them. Then Rin spoke again, his voice low.

"He told me himself. Even if I die, he’ll dig me up. Rebuild me. Make me obedient and loyal only to him."

Cerberus’s hands tightened into fists.

"That’s why I’m here," Cerberus said. "You have to stop him."

Rin gave a small shrug. "I’m not as strong as Asmodeus."

"You don’t need to be," Cerberus replied.

Rin raised a brow. "Oh? So what are we going to do then? Because I can’t think of anything and I’m definitely not doing something that would put my family in danger."

"It won’t put anyone in danger, I promise. I’ll share my power with you."

The words hung heavily in the air. Rin didn’t answer right away. He stared down at his hands, then at the skull ring on his finger.

"...Why?" Rin asked quietly. "Why help me?"

Cerberus looked away for the first time.

"Just like I said, I don’t support this war," he said. "And I don’t support what Asmodeus has become."

He paused.

"I would have gone to my former master," Cerberus added. "But I can’t. There’s no way he would accept me back after what I did to him."

Rin smirked faintly. "Your former master? You mean, my grandfather?"

Cerberus nodded once.

Rin exhaled slowly. "The Demon Lord."

His fingers brushed the skull ring again.

"If you really want to help," Rin said, "I can find a way to bring you to him."

Cerberus looked up sharply. "Is that possible? How?"

Rin opened his mouth to answer...

Knock. Knock.

Both of them froze.

Cerberus’s eyes narrowed. "Shit! It’s my contractor."

Rin stood immediately. "If she’s back, then we need to leave."

"But we need to make something up... I have an idea."

Before Rin could say anything, another voice spoke outside the door.

"Audrey?" Jane’s voice sounded tired. "Why are you knocking on your own door? Is there someone inside?"

Audrey flinched.

"Oh—" she said quickly. "I was just thinking. You know... We’ve been going through a lot."

Jane stepped closer, holding a tray.

"I understand. You should eat something. You haven’t eaten since Father died."

Audrey forced her shoulders to slump. "I... I wasn’t hungry."

Jane placed the tray in her hands. "You’ll be late. Just eat and rest. Everything will be fine."

Audrey nodded and stepped into the room, closing the door behind her. She waited for her sister to leave before she turned into the room.

The tray fell from her hands when she saw it.

Blood.

There was blood on the bed and Rin was gone. There was no sign of him. Audrey dropped to her knees as she covered her face with both hands.

She laughed.

A quiet laugh at first. Then louder.

"He took him," she whispered. "Finally! He kept his promise."

She pressed her forehead to the floor, shaking with excitement.

"I’ll be safe," she said softly. "Even if everyone else dies."

She stood up, wiping tears from her eyes, already planning her next move.

She had letters to write to the ladies and... a war to survive.
