I Don't Want To Be An Omega In My Sister's Trashy Reverse Harem [BL]

Chapter 206: Wait For Auntie!

Chapter 206: Wait For Auntie!

The next day, the morning air felt heavy.

Sasha noticed it the moment he opened his eyes that the room was too quiet, the kind of quiet that made his chest feel tight. Rin should have been there already... moving around, complaining about the cold, or teasing Winter awake. But it was empty. Cold.

Sasha sat up slowly, his heart sinking.

Rin didn’t come back.

Winter stirred beside him, rubbing his eyes. "Sasha," he said sleepily. "Is Rin awake already?"

Sasha forced a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. "He... went out early," he replied.

Winter frowned. "Again?"

"Yes," Sasha said quickly. "You know how he is."

Winter didn’t look convinced, but before he could ask more, Sasha stood up and began packing.

"I’m sure he’ll meet us at the brothel. For now, we have to focus on leaving."

He folded clothes carefully, his hands moving on their own. Rin’s words from the night before echoed in his mind.

’Even if I don’t come back, you must leave with Winter. No matter what.’

Sasha’s jaw tightened.

Winter sat up fully now, watching him. "Where is Rin?" he asked again. "Will he be at home with mother?"

Sasha paused for just a second. Then he shook his head. "I don’t know. Maybe."

Winter’s eyes widened. "You don’t... know?"

"You know he went to dinner," Sasha said. "And didn’t return."

Silence fell between them.

Winter hugged his knees. "Did he leave me?"

"No," Sasha said immediately, his voice firm. "Never. Rin would never do that."

Then he softened. "He just... went somewhere."

Winter didn’t answer. He only nodded slowly, biting his lip.

Not long after, the carriage arrived.

Outside, Evan Vortellion stood near the gate, dressed neatly despite the early hour. Lady Mirielle was beside him, her arm linked with his, laughter spilling easily from her lips as if the world was still kind.

"Oh," Mirielle said sweetly when she saw Sasha. "You’re leaving already?"

"Yes, my lady" he bowed as he spoke.

Her eyes flicked behind him, searching.

"Where’s Rin?" she asked lightly, hiding the mockery behind her soft voice.

Sasha kept his face blank. "I don’t know, my lady."

Her smile faltered just a bit as she pretended to be concerned.

"Oh my."

Evan frowned. "What do you mean, you don’t know?"

Sasha bowed slightly. "My lord, Rin left to have dinner with Lady Mirielle last night. However, he didn’t return."

Evan turned to Mirielle. "Did something happen?"

Mirielle’s eyes widened. "What? Me?" she asked softly. "Of course not. He barely stayed ten minutes. He looked distracted, then left."

She pressed a hand to her chest. "I had no idea he wouldn’t come back. I swear, it has nothing to do with me."

Her eyes shimmered, tears forming.

"I wouldn’t hurt him," she whispered. "Why would I? He’s not my enemy."

Evan sighed and gently patted her hand. "Don’t cry. Perhaps he’ll return to the brothel on his own."

He looked back at Sasha. "I’ll come by later and check on him."

Sasha bowed again. "Yes, my lord."

He guided Winter into the carriage without another word. As the wheels began to roll, Sasha didn’t look back.

Because he was sure of one thing.

Rin was not at the brothel and Mirielle was behind his disappearance.

The carriage moved through the streets, the sound of hooves filling the silence. Sasha rubbed his palms together without realising it. His skin felt cold despite the thick coat he wore.

Winter noticed.

"Are you sad?" Winter said quietly.

Sasha stopped rubbing his hands. "Sad? I’m just tired."

Winter leaned closer. "What if that wicked noble lady took Rin away?"

Sasha closed his eyes for a brief moment. "Do you think Rin would let someone take him?"

"Of course not, my brother is strong," Winter said. His voice trembled. "I know he’ll come back soon."

Sasha exhaled deeply. "So do I."

When the carriage finally stopped, familiar sounds surrounded them... soft laughter, music drifting from inside, the warm noise of life continuing as if nothing was wrong.

The brothel doors opened.

"Winter!" someone cried happily.

"Oh! Winter is back!"

Several omegas rushed over, kneeling and hugging him gently. After all, Winter was the youngest child in the brothel and the most cherished. They brushed his hair, asked if he had eaten well, and if he missed them.

Winter smiled at last, distracted by their attention.

Sasha watched quietly.

He handed the bags to a guard. "Take them to Winter’s room."

Then he turned and walked straight toward Lirien’s office.

The door was open.

Lirien sat behind her desk, papers spread everywhere. A long cigar rested between her fingers, smoke curling lazily in the air. She didn’t look up.

"Why are you here?" she asked.

Sasha bowed. "I came to report on Rin."

The cigar paused.

Lirien lifted her head slowly. Her sharp eyes fixed on him. "Report on Rin? Where is he?"

Sasha swallowed and told her everything.

About the dinner. About Mirielle. About Rin’s suspicion. About his order to protect Winter no matter what and return to the brothel even if he doesn’t return.

When he finished, the room was silent.

"So," Lirien said at last, her voice cold. "Rin is missing. And it’s because of Lady Mirielle."

Sasha lowered his head. "I’m sorry. I failed to protect him."

"I didn’t send you there to protect Rin, but Winter. Rin is old enough and powerful to protect himself and you did what he told you," Lirien said. "That was the right choice."

She leaned back and sighed. "That’s alright. I would have told you to rest but we need more hands. Go and help the servants prepare the safe house."

"I understand, ma’am," Sasha hesitated. "What about Elyria?"

"If she asks," Lirien said calmly, "make something up."

Sasha nodded. Then he paused. "How will you meet Lady Mirielle?"

Lirien smiled slowly.

"That," she said, "is my business."

Sasha felt reassured. He bowed deeply and left. As soon as the door closed, Lirien stubbed out her cigar.

She stared at the documents on her desk—maps, contracts, names. Important things.

Then she pushed them aside. She was organising the important ones to keep in the safe house so they won’t get burned during the war.

"Even if the documents burn," she muttered, "Rin matters more."

She stood up and hurried to her room.

After changing into a refined dress, she summoned her familiar.

"I need your help. But first, you have to shift," she ordered.

The creature obeyed, transforming smoothly into a quiet maid.

"Great!"

Minutes later, Lirien stepped into a carriage.

"Hertford mansion," she told the rider.

As the carriage moved, her fingers clenched into a fist.

"Wait for me, Rin," she whispered. "Your aunt is coming."
