Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen

Chapter 474: Idiot

Chapter 474: Idiot

Daisy Ginger held the warm milk she had just bought from the small supermarket outside the hospital and stuffed it into Edward Stephens’ cold palm.

He looked sickly, appearing a bit pitiful.

"You’ve had a fever of forty degrees and still haven’t seen a doctor," Daisy scolded him. "Do you want to turn it into pneumonia?"

The man opened his dark eyes, "Weren’t you the one who refused to go to the hospital even with a forty-two-degree fever?"

"I had important things to deal with then."

"Well, I was handling important matters too."

What important matters? You can’t even make a movie, what important matters?

Daisy glared at him, "Don’t talk back."

"..." The man indeed said no more. He just looked at her, and for some reason, chuckled softly.

It was work hours, so the hospital wasn’t very busy. A few people were sitting around, mostly elderly folks with children getting IV drips.

Daisy saw a little boy about the same age as Erin Ginger, being led by an old man, who might be his grandpa. He had a needle in his hand and was crying and rolling on the floor throwing a tantrum. Thinking of how Erin was always well-behaved at injections and IV drips since childhood, she found it somewhat amusing and felt a bit proud.

Daisy was watching the crying kid with interest, but the man beside her felt ignored and displeased.

He reached out, using two long fingers to pinch Daisy’s chin and turned her face towards him.

"..."

Daisy stared into his eyes.

"What?"

Edward looked at her, "Look at me."

"..." What’s so interesting about you?

"Don’t look at others."

"..." Seriously? Are you even jealous of a three-year-old kid?

Daisy couldn’t help but suppress a laugh but decided to spare Edward the dignity of laughing at him since he was a patient.

The man remained unruffled, acting generous, "If you want to laugh, just laugh."

Daisy shook her head, "I’m not laughing."

Edward glanced at her.

Daisy widened her eyes, trying her best to look earnest.

Edward, "Idiot..." He rested his forehead on her shoulder, seemingly tired, leaning against her.

It seemed like he hadn’t had a good sleep for a long time; he leaned against her and slowly fell asleep again.

The steady breaths brushed her face, making Daisy feel a bit ticklish. She couldn’t help but tilt her head to look at his long eyelashes and peaceful sleeping face.

Quietly leaning against each other like this, as if between them, they were just like a normal couple.

Thinking of this, Daisy lowered her eyes, and the corners of her lips curved slightly, with a somewhat helpless smile.

*

After Edward finished his IV drip, Daisy drove him back to his place.

By now, it was already dark.

The people in the villa prepared dinner as soon as they saw Edward return.

Daisy had stayed with him all afternoon and didn’t have time for lunch, so she was starving and joined Edward for dinner. After tidying up her clothes, she planned to head home.

The man sat upright on the sofa, watching her bend over to put on her high heels while holding onto the sofa arm, his gaze deep and intense.

Daisy changed her shoes and walked over to him, saying, "Remember to take the medicine the doctor prescribed before you sleep. Also, remember to visit the hospital tomorrow, okay?"

Edward sat there, his tone indifferent, "I don’t want to go."

"Huh?" Daisy was stunned for a moment and couldn’t help but look at this young master. Wasn’t he fine all afternoon? Why did he start acting up after dinner?

He’s even more troublesome than little Erin.
