His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 94

Chapter 94

Annette and Zack walked further away, and it was quieter around.

Zack looked a little nervous. He said, "Annette, I know your concerns. You may think that I am not reliable enough. Don't worry. I am Alpha's son, and I will be Alpha in the future. If you become my mate, you will be my Luna. Even if I meet my real mate one day, I will reject her."

Annette interrupted him and said, "Zack, I think you are quite outstanding, but I am sorry. I have a mate."

After that, Annette turned and left under Zack's disbelieving eyes.

When Annette returned to the office, Sara looked her up and down.

Annette smiled, "Sara, are you curious about the result?"

"I think you won't accept him."

"Why did you have such thoughts?"

"Well, from what I know about you."

  Annette nodded.

"Why did you walk away with him? People may talk," Sara asked with concern.

Annette shrugged and smiled, not saying anything else.

Because there were too many people around, almost everyone knew and was discussing the matter.

Everyone was curious about what Annette had said to Zack.

However, Annette and Zack did not mention it anymore.

  Annette seemed to be fine.

Zack did not seem to be hurt either.

When Annette got off work in the afternoon, she saw a driver waiting for her as soon as she reached the school gate.

She walked over and got into the car. Before closing the door, Marcus trotted over and squeezed into the car.

Annette asked, "Are you going home today?"

"Yes. Can't I?" Marcus was a little unhappy.

"Why? Did something happen to you today?" Annette asked.

"It's all because of you." Marcus said, "It's because of you and Zack."

Annette looked at his expression and smiled, "You didn't tell Connor about that, did you?"

"No. I was planning to go home and talk about it. So, you will be in trouble," Marcus shrugged and said.

Annette said, "I will tell him about it myself. Don't pick a fight."

"Luna, I find that you are quite afraid of Connor."

"I am not." Annette felt a little guilty. Connor was too overbearing. "He is indeed unreasonable sometimes."

She and Marcus looked at each other and smiled.

Sometimes, Marcus felt that Annette was just so special.

Connor hardly let anyone get close to him. However, Annette not only got close to him but also took an important position in his heart.

The only regret was her background.

The car stopped at the gate of Connor's villa.

Annette and Marcus entered the living room together.

To their surprise, Connor was also there.

He sat on the sofa with a cold face. He heard the noise at the door and looked coldly at Annette and Marcus.

Marcus whispered in Annette's ear, "Something is going on."

  "You're right."

Marcus stepped forward. "Connor, there is something I want to tell you. Today..."

Annette stared at Marcus' back speechlessly.

Connor interrupted Marcus and said coldly, "Marcus, go back to your room."

Marcus heard the order. Before he turned around and left, he gave Annette a look as if he was saying, "Good luck."

Connor said, "All of you, except Annette, go out."

All the servants in the living room left. Connor looked at Annette coldly and asked, "How does it feel to have someone confess to you?"

Annette asked in surprise, "How did you know? Marcus must have lied to me. We agreed that I would tell you in person."

Connor snorted. "He didn't say it. It seems that you have discussed it. Alright, tell me what you want to say."

Annette thought for a moment and said, "If Marcus didn't say it, was it Fiona?"

"Who else would it be except for her?" Connor said to Annette.

Annette said unhappily, "She must be talking nonsense again. At noon, a boy confessed to me. Because there were too many people watching, I left with him alone and went somewhere quiet to talk."

"Was it necessary to go somewhere else? You can talk and make it clear in public. You went to another place, and they gossiped about you," Connor said unhappily.

"If I refuse him in front of so many people, he will suffer from a great blow. I don't want to hurt him for no reason," Annette explained.

"He will suffer from many blows after he steps into the workplace. Can you help him avoid them all?"

"Those blows will have nothing to do with me. My initial intentions are simple. I just don't want innocent people to get hurt because of me."

"Don't you care about others' gossip about you?"

Annette said nonchalantly, "I cared about it in the past. After I met you, you told me that others' comments on me were meaningless."

Connor did not speak, but his expression eased a lot.

Annette turned to look at him and asked, "What did Fiona say about me?"

"She said that you seduced someone. After being confessed to by a boy in public, you walked away alone with him. She thought that you were going to do some shameful things and asked me to be careful of you."

Annette gritted her teeth. She was a little unhappy.

"Fiona's thoughts are so dirty. Are you angry with me because of her words?" Annette asked.

"I am angry because you are too attractive. I want to lock you up so that only I can look at you." Connor paused for a moment. He said, "What is his name?"

Annette frowned and asked, "What do you want to do? I have made it clear to him. You don't have to interfere. Otherwise, people may think that I care a lot about this issue."

"I can't just do nothing, or he might still dare to pursue you," Connor said.
