His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 93

Chapter 93

When Annette returned to the office, Sara looked at her and said, "Annette, why did you come so late? Kyle wanted to meet you at his office."

  Annette was not surprised.

With the air-conditioner on, it was a bit chilly in Kyle's office.

Kyle asked with a cold face, "You are late today. Any explanations?"

"I am not late. My student got sick. So, I took him to the hospital and just sent him to the infirmary."

  "Oh? Which student?"

  "Marcus."

Kyle said unhappily, "Annette, you have become cunning."

"I am telling the truth. You can go to him and confirm it."

"Do you think you can get away with the punishment so easily?"

"Do whatever you want. Anyway, Connor said that it doesn't matter even if I lose my job." Annette shrugged indifferently.

  "Annette!" Kyle shouted.

Annette said coldly, "By the way, don't ask me to come to your office alone again. Last time, you pestered me in the cafeteria, and Fiona called Connor to school to complain about me."

Kyle clenched his fists and said, "I didn't know about that."

"I know. So, now you know."

"Annette," Kyle's voice was much calmer. "Can't we make up? Even with the slightest chance?"

Annette looked at his helpless appearance and said seriously. "No, we can't. There is no chance at all."

"What if I get you to return to me at all costs?"

"I no longer care about you." Annette was as calm as ever. "For someone who betrayed me, I'll never give him a second chance. Never."

"I know I've put you through hell, but I'll make you feel loved, just like before."

Annette took a deep breath and said calmly, "No need. Someone has already done that. If you want me to leave the school today, I will go and pack my things now."

  After that, she walked out.

Kyle said when she opened the door, "I won't deduct your points again. If I can't even see you at school, I will really lose you."

Annette stopped in her tracks. She turned back and glanced at Kyle. Then, she opened the door and walked out.

In the office, Melissa was gossiping with Sara while reading the news from her phone.

Melissa said, "So, Daphne is taking the blame for someone else, right?"

Sara replied, "It seems that this woman is in fact Mr. Norman's mate, not Daphne."

Annette walked over and felt a little awkward when she saw the photos on Melissa's phone.

This morning, the picture of her being pushed into the car with her head covered by Connor's shirt had been uploaded to the Internet.

She did not understand why those photos were still posted since her face was covered.

Since Annette was also looking at the photos, Melissa asked, "Annette, have you seen the news about Daphne for the past few days?"

Annette was nervous for a moment. She tried to look calm and said, "Yes. It's everywhere."

"I heard that you know Daphne and even got Daphne's autograph for your classmates. Are you familiar with her?"

Annette said honestly, "I don't know Daphne. I got her autograph from a friend of mine. As for Daphne's personality, I have no idea."

"What a pity. I thought you knew more about her."

Annette shrugged and smiled, "I don't know anything."

Sara asked, "Did Kyle deduct your points just now?"

Annette returned to her desk and sat down. "No. I sent a student to the hospital."

Sara nodded and said, "Be careful in the future. If something happens again, call him in advance. He has been keeping an eye on you recently."

"Okay." Annette nodded and smiled at Sara.

She put her bag into the drawer, and then her phone rang.

It was a call from Jessica. Annette picked up the phone.

If she didn't pick it up, Jessica would come to school.

Before Annette could say anything, Jessica roared madly on the phone.

"Annette, you bitch! You're as cheap as your mother! Are you happy now? You don't want to give up on Alpha Connor, right? Just wait and see! I want to see who Alpha Connor will choose in the end. I won't let you off easily."

Jessica finished what she wanted to say and hung up the phone.

Annette put her phone on the table. She felt that Jessica was both crazy and stupid.

She thought of the photos on Melissa's phone and knew that Jessica recognized her.

That day, Jessica mocked Annette because she thought that Connor had abandoned Annette.

Annette could not help but smile at the thought of the scene. No wonder Jessica was so furious. She deserved it.

At noon, Annette had lunch with Sara. On the way back, they met a few students from Werewolf University.

They blocked Annette and Sara's way.

Annette looked at the boys and frowned. "Do you have anything to say to me?"

One of the boys stepped forward and stood in front of Annette.

Annette knew the boy. His pack was not in Akron.

Annette looked at him calmly. "You are Zack, right? What's the matter?"

Zack took a deep breath and asked, "Annette, I know that you have rejected your mate. My Alpha told me that werewolves who reject their mates might not have a second chance. Are you willing to be my mate?"

Sara was standing not far from them and was shocked.

The other boys with Zack began to cheer, "Say yes! Be with him!"

Their shouting attracted many people's attention.

Annette looked up at Zack. She pondered for a moment and said, "Can you take a walk alone with me? There are too many people here. Let's talk in private."

  Zack nodded hurriedly.

Annette said to Sara, "Sara, go back to the office first. I'll be back soon."

Then, Annette walked away with Zack. Sara looked at Annette's back and thought, 'Annette is so beautiful. Many werewolves would rather choose her than look for their mates.'
