His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 79

Chapter 79

After dinner, Connor sent Annette home.

It was getting late, so he didn't go upstairs with her.

He stood downstairs and watched as the lights in her house lit up. There was a figure by the window.

Connor waved goodbye to Annette and got in the car.

When he got home, he asked Dwayne to find Marcus.

Only then did Dwayne discover that Marcus was not at home.

Connor snorted. He mind linked Marcus directly.

"Connor?" Marcus received the mind link and was puzzled.

"Don't mention what happened tonight to anyone else. And don't tell Annette about the grudge between the packs. Or, you'll be in trouble."

"Why are you doing that? Didn't you see it with your own eyes that..."

"Shut up," Connor interrupted Marcus. He said, "I'll make it clear again. Marcus, don't make things difficult for Annette. Do you hear me?"

"What if I don't listen to you?"

  "I dare you."

Marcus was furious. He replied, "Connor, you are a self-restrained person. You know that you made the wrong choice. Why don't you give up on it?"

"That's my business. Just do as I said. Go to bed early."

  Connor ended the mind link.

Marcus took a deep breath, depressed.

He thought, 'is the same thing as twenty years ago going to happen again?

No, I won't allow the people of the Black Thorn Pack to destroy Connor.'

Marcus' chest heaved up and down because of his anger.

He must think of a way to make Annette leave Connor.

  But how?

The next morning, Marcus was waiting under Annette's apartment building.

Annette slowed down as she saw him.

Marcus' eyes were indifferent as he looked at her.

Annette walked in front of him and forced a smile. She said, "Marcus, why are you here?"

Marcus said with coldness, "I have something to tell you."

Facing his unfriendly attitude, Annette was prepared. "Go ahead."

Marcus said, "Annette, you are the daughter of the Alpha of the Black Thorn Pack, right?"

Annette clenched her fists and said, "I never thought so. Marcus, my surname is Hall."

Marcus was stunned for a moment. He thought, 'That's right. Annette's surname is Hall. How can she be related to Alpha Lance?

Moreover, the Black Thorn Pack never announced that their Alpha has another daughter.'

"So, are you Alpha Lance's illegitimate daughter?"

  Annette remained silent.

Marcus crossed his arms and said, "I didn't expect your identity to be so mysterious. Since you are Lance's daughter, you should know that you are the enemy of the Blood Moon Pack. We won't accept a member from the Black Thorn Pack to be our Luna."

"Marcus, stop." Annette's eyes were no longer as restrained as before. Her eyes turned cold because that was all she could take.

"I never thought of becoming Connor's mate, so please don't speak to me in such a tone."

"Connor falls for you, yet you said that you didn't intend to become his mate?"

Annette took a deep breath and said, "I don't think I need to explain it to you. I'm busy. You should go."

  She turned to leave.

Marcus said indifferently, "The man yesterday was the son of the Alpha of the Crystal Pack. Annette, the men beside you are all powerful ones. You are a rogue, and do you dare to tell me that you never thought of becoming the Luna of a pack?"

Annette's eyes were full of sadness. She turned around to look at him. "Marcus, please go back, okay?"

She did not want to discuss the topic with a child.

  She had her dignity.

Marcus felt a little guilty when he saw Annette's eyes.

He knew that Annette was not a bad person, but he had no choice. She was a member of the Black Thorn Pack.

"Annette, stay away from Connor, okay?"

  Annette nodded and said, "Okay."

She left. Marcus was depressed and felt that he was a bad person.

Annette did not go home. She sat in the garden and tried to calm herself down.

Her phone rang. She took it out and saw that it was a call from Jessica. She hesitated for a moment and picked it up.

  "Annette, where are you?"

"Just save it. Say what you have to say."

"It seems that there is no one else around you. It's good. Come to the Black Thorn Pack now. I want to see you."

"Who do you think you are? Are you ordering me?"

"I won't argue with you. I want to be with Alpha Connor. So, you must help me." Jessica said with an ordering tone.

"You are Alpha Lance's daughter, and you are going to snatch Connor from me? Impossible!" Annette sneered.

"Annette, don't play dumb. You know who you are. You are not worthy of Connor. Helping me is your only choice."

Annette smiled disdainfully, "Connor is not mine. If you want something, get it yourself. A woman like you is not worthy of him."

"At least I am more qualified than you. But you are not only a rouge but also a hybrid."

"That is what you think," Annette said.

"Annette, you know that there is a grudge between the two packs. If I became Connor's mate, I would remove the enmity. What can you do? You will only make Connor hate the Black Thorn Pack even more. Don't you care about Austin? Austin will be the Alpha of the Black Thorn Pack in the future. Do you want to use Connor to destroy Austin?" Jessica threatened her.

Annette sneered. She said, "I only know that the people of the Black Thorn Pack owe my mother her life, and I wish the Fisher Group to go bankrupt as soon as possible. You don't deserve Connor. I will never introduce a vicious woman like you to him."
