Chapter 77
Chapter 77
Annette heard Kyle's words.
She smiled disdainfully and said, "Is that so? You meant that I had betrayed and deceived you? Alright, go ahead. I want to see how happy you will be after you pass the buck to me."
She tried to shake off Kyle's hand but failed.
Annette said coldly, "Let go. I can't wait to rush into the arms of other men."
Kyle was furious.
Annette sneered. "Do you think that I will make up with you? Stop dreaming. I have rejected you."
Kyle let go of her. Annette went upstairs without looking back.
She returned to the office to get her bag. When she went downstairs, Kyle was still standing there.
Annette walked past him indifferently. Kyle said in a low voice, "How much do you charge for one night?"
Annette stopped in her tracks and looked at him. "What did you say?"
"Since they can spend a night with you, why can't I? I'll pay three times the price."
Out of anger, Annette trembled all over.
Her eyes were with tears as she looked at him.
Kyle looked sad. He said, "What? Are you only lofty in front of me? You are nothing but a high-end prostitute now."
Annette raised her hand and slapped him.
This was the first time Annette had been so angry after Kyle had cheated on her.
"Is it the truth?" Kyle covered his face and roared angrily.
"You are not worthy of it. Kyle, stop dreaming." Annette turned around and left the school.
Annette got into the car. She looked outside the car with a calm expression and said, "Marcus, don't tell Connor about what happened just now."
Marcus said in surprise, "Connor doesn't know it?"
"I just don't want him to worry about me," Annette said.
"Kyle bullied you. If Connor knew it, he would deal with Kyle and solve the problem once and for all," Marcus said in confusion.
Annette smiled and shook her head. "In short, don't tell him."
Kyle was the son of the Alpha of the Crystal Pack. If Connor knew about that, he would target the Crystal Pack.
Annette did not want to make things worse.
Thinking of what Kyle had just said, her heart hurt a lot.
Since Kyle cheated on her, she had never cried or made a fuss, but it did not mean that she felt nothing.
Annette had rejected Kyle, and the bond between them had disappeared.
Even so, she didn't forget the time when they were together.
She didn't say it because she wanted to stay strong.
Kyle gave her courage once but hurt her deeply, making her afraid to love and be loved.
The driver sent Annette and Marcus to the door of the largest club in Akron.
As they got out of the car, Connor walked over and asked, "What took you guys so long?"
Annette shrugged. "I have a meeting with the students."
"You earn less than a cleaner, but you have a lot of things to do." Connor snorted.
Marcus said, "You chatted at the door. I feel that I'm being isolated."
Connor glanced at him and said, "In that case, you can leave any time you want."
"Connor, you asked me to come here, just to escort Luna, right?"
Connor curled his lips into a smile. "You finally got it, not bad."
Marcus said unhappily, "Connor, you have changed."
Connor smiled and took Annette into the club.
When they went upstairs, Jessica just came out of the room and saw them.
Jessica followed them upstairs carefully. She watched as Annette entered the private room with Connor and a young man. She thought, 'It seems that I have an opportunity.'
Just as Annette sat down, someone knocked on the door.
She looked toward the door. Jessica walked in wearing a strapless dress.
Annette was surprised to see Jessica.
Seeing Annette's expression, Jessica smiled gently at her.
Jessica said, "Annette, you are here. I just hesitated at the door. I'm afraid I've got the wrong person."
Connor and Marcus looked at Annette at the same time.
Annette stood up, her expression a little cold. She asked, "What are you doing here?"
"Can't I come to see you?" Jessica walked to Annette and sat down. She said, "I heard Dad say that you are a teacher at university now?"
Annette frowned since Jessica was acting strangely.
"Oh, by the way, Annette, do you have enough money?" Jessica took out a card from her bag and handed it to Annette. "I only have this card with me. Keep it. I'll visit you at the university next time and bring you another card with unlimited credit."
Annette frowned and asked, "What are you trying to do?"
Jessica said with some grievance, "Annette, don't always be so hostile to the members of the pack. You are too stubborn. Dad asked you to come home, but you never come back. You make yourself miserable and everyone in the family feels sorry for you. Don't do it anymore, OK?"
Marcus was confused. He whispered to Connor, "Connor, what's going on? Does Annette have a family?"
Connor sat aside. He picked up the wine glass and shook it slightly.
Upon hearing Marcus' words, Annette clenched her fist. A family? She did not have a family!
Jessica looked up at Connor and Marcus.
She hesitated for a moment and asked, "You are Alpha Connor and Marcus from the Blood Moon Pack, right?"
Marcus said in surprise, "How do you know me?"
"You look similar to Alpha Connor, so I can tell," Jessica said with a smile.
Marcus asked, "Who are you?"
Jessica held Annette's arm and said, "I am Annette's elder sister and the daughter of the Alpha of the Black Thorn Pack. My name is Jessica."
Marcus stood up in shock and said, "Are you a member of the Black Thorn Pack?"
"Yes. You don't know that Annette is also from the Black Thorn Pack?" Jessica asked.
Marcus looked at Connor in disbelief.
Connor was calm, and it seemed that he already knew it.
But why would he interact with the people of the Black Thorn Pack?
The Black Thorn Pack had killed someone from the Blood Moon Pack!
