　　Annette went to Roxanne and chatted with her happily for a while.

　　She had been in a bad mood due to all kinds of setbacks. Today, she finally smiled brightly.

　　Annette suddenly asked Roxanne, "If you had to give a man a present, what would you buy?"

　　Roxanne exclaimed, "What?"

　　"You heard me," Annette said.

　　"Why do you need to buy a gift for a man?" Roxanne asked.

　　Annette felt a little regretful. How should she explain it? She regretted asking Roxanne.

　　Roxanne held her arm and said, "Tell me the truth!"

　　Annette followed Roxanne to a jewelry store. Then, she returned to the Italian restaurant that Roxanne liked.

　　Annette was also reluctant to part with her. "If you miss me, come back and see me. Anyway, I'll be at the university."

　　"I will. I guess I can't leave you for too long and will be back soon," Roxanne said. "By the way, when I went out this morning, the other roommates told me that Lena was hospitalized because of a miscarriage. I wondered if her qualification to teach in school was canceled because of that."

　　Before they finished their meal, an unexpected guest came to the restaurant.

　　Roxanne, who was facing the door, saw him and said unhappily, "The jerk is here."

　　Annette was just about to turn around when someone grabbed her wrist from behind. She was pulled toward the door.

　　Roxanne stood up and shouted as she chased out, "Kyle, what are you doing?"

　　The three of them arrived at the entrance of the restaurant. Kyle stood still and said to Roxanne, "Roxanne, go back. I need to talk to Annette alone."

　　"You don't get to tell me what to do. I won't leave," Roxanne said.

　　"Get lost!" Kyle shouted at her.

　　Roxanne was irritated. She was the daughter of the Beta of a pack and wanted to shift and fight Kyle.

　　Annette turned around to stop Roxanne. She said, "Roxanne, go back and eat first."

　　"No, I can't let you here alone with him," Roxanne said.

　　Annette shook her head and said, "It doesn't matter. We are at the school gate, and it is safe. There are things that I need to settle with him."

　　Roxanne glared at Kyle before she entered the restaurant.

　　Annette looked up at Kyle indifferently and said, "Go ahead."

　　"Annette, I underestimated you. You blocked me and Lena in the hotel and broke up with me without crying or trying to keep me with you. Now I see, you've got yourself a sugar daddy," Kyle said in a strange tone.

　　Annette frowned slightly.

　　"When did you hook up with Alpha Connor? You told me that you had slept with someone else. You weren't kidding, right? Is that man Alpha Connor? When we were in a relationship, you cheated on me first, but I still thought you were innocent. You are nothing but a slut!" Kyle roared with a ferocious expression.

　　Annette raised her hand and slapped Kyle. She said fiercely, "Enough!"

　　Annette covered his face and glared at her. "So, are you ashamed of yourself now? Do you know how I felt when my mother told me about your relationship with Alpha Connor today? I cherish you so much. I have been good to you. Why are you with him?"

　　Annette raised her chin and said calmly, "Kyle, I rejected you. Who I am with has nothing to do with you!"

　　"You slut!" Kyle's eyes turned red.

　　"And why did you have sex with Lena?" Annette retorted.

　　"Save the excuses. Just tell me, when did you hook up with him?" Kyle said.

　　"You can humiliate me, but don't drag others into this. The grudge between you and me has nothing to do with Connor."

　　"Connor? Not many people dare to call him by his name like that. Why would Alpha Connor bother to meddle in your business? Didn't you fucking sleep with him?" Kyle said through gritted teeth.

　　"Yes!" Annette roared and interrupted him. "We did! You can sleep with Lena, so why can't I sleep with him? Let me tell you what. The night I found you cheated on me, I had sex with Connor. And I seduced him first!"

　　Kyle raised his hand and was about to slap her.

　　Annette raised her chin high and said, "I dare you."

　　Kyle gritted his teeth. With tears in his eyes, he put down his hand and said, "Why do you give yourself up like this? I was wrong, but you shouldn't make such a choice. Do you know what kind of person Alpha Connor is? How dare you mess with him? Annette, have you ever thought about how this will end for you? Connor will definitely make you suffer!"

　　"Don't be so stubborn." Kyle stamped his foot in frustrated rage.

　　Annette looked at him coldly and said, "Kyle, you know that I hate betrayal, but you still did it. You betrayed me, and you still expect me to love you as before and beg you to change your mind. Thanks to you, I made such a choice because I didn't want leeway."

　　Kyle closed his eyes, his face full of pain. "In fact, I only betrayed you physically."
