His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 32

Chapter 32

Annette thought of her mother again.

She could never forget that stormy night and the bloody scene she saw when she opened the door of the bathroom...

She covered her face with both hands, trying to push the pain out of her heart.

  Suddenly, Annette's phone rang again.

She took it out and glanced at it.

  It was Kyle.

Annette pressed her phone against her forehead, took a deep breath, and then pressed the answer button.

Kyle's anxious voice came through. "Annette, I've just heard that you have been replaced. I don't know why my mother would do that. Where are you now? Can I come to you?"

Annette said calmly, "Okay, take Lena and wait for me at the coffee shop. Remember, if you don't bring Lena with you, I won't talk to you."

After hanging up the phone, Annette stood up. She took a shower and then put on a white shirt and a denim skirt. She put on light makeup and left home.

She arrived at the door of the coffee shop and looked inside.

Kyle was there already and was sitting by the window.

Lena sat opposite him with a sweet smile.

She was smiling and talking to Kyle.

However, Kyle looked serious. He looked out the window and saw Annette.

Annette entered the shop and walked toward their table.

Kyle stood up and said, "You are here."

Lena was stunned to see Annette.

Annette sat beside Kyle and said to Kyle, "Have a seat."

Kyle sat down, his eyes fixed on Annette.

Lena clenched her fists. Kyle was not surprised to see Annette, and it meant that he had made an appointment with her.

Annette ordered a cup of coffee and did not say anything until the coffee was served.

She took a sip of it and put down the cup. She looked at Lena and said, "I didn't know you could be this despicable. You really surprised me."

"Annette, what are you talking about?" Lena looked at Kyle innocently.

"Today, Fiona told me that you'll take my position as a teacher at the university," Annette said.

"I didn't do anything." Lena shook her head.

"Are you saying that Fiona lied?" Annette asked immediately.

"I didn't mean that. Fiona asked me if I had a plan for my future. I didn't expect that she would make such a decision," Lena said firmly.

"Then, will you confront Fiona in front of me?" Annette looked at Lena calmly.

  Lena was silent.

Kyle got angry and said to Lena, "So you were behind it."

"No, Kyle. You have to believe me," Lena said. She looked at Annette coldly. "Annette, why are you doing this? Kyle and I are happy together. Why are you trying to stir things up between us?"

"You got that wrong. It's because you are too greedy. Since you have broken the rules, I don't have to abide by any agreement," Annette said.

Annette grabbed Kyle's wrist and said, "Let's go watch a movie."

Kyle did not hesitate. He stood up immediately and let Annette drag him out of the coffee shop.

  Lena chased after them.

She grabbed Annette's arm and shouted, "What are you doing? He is the father of our unborn baby. Are you crazy? You are a homewrecker!"

Annette turned sideways and stood between Kyle and Lena.

"Lena, that's ridiculous. Can you hear yourself? Have you forgotten how you became Kyle's girlfriend?"

Annette said and pulled her hand back.

However, Lena shouted and staggered backward. She fell from the highest step outside the coffee shop.

She lay on the ground and cried out in pain. She covered her belly and blamed Annette, "Why did you push me?"

Annette was stunned. She didn't even touch her.

"Kyle, my belly... It hurts." Lena cried out in pain.

Kyle saw blood on the ground.

He ran down the stairs and said, "Are you alright?"

"Help me. Help our baby. It hurts." Then, Lena passed out.

Kyle looked at Annette angrily. "Why did you push her?"

  "I didn't." Annette explained, "I didn't push her."

"You raised your hand just now, and then she fell!" Kyle shouted.

Annette was a little agitated. She said, "I didn't touch her at all."

"Do you mean she fell off herself? She cares so much about the baby because she wants to keep me around. She won't hurt it. Ann, I didn't intend to keep this baby, but this is way out of line."

Kyle carried Lena and left quickly.

Annette stood at the door of the coffee shop, stunned.

She thought, 'In Kyle's eyes, what kind of person am I?

He was standing behind me and could not see anything. Why did he say that I pushed Lena?'

Annette was here to take revenge, but in the end, she suffered the most.

If two werewolves were not each other's mates, it would be difficult for them to have babies. Lena was so cruel.

In terms of ruthlessness, Annette was no match for Lena.

Even so, Annette would not let it go.

She would never let Lena frame her.

She took a deep breath and then left the coffee shop.

Two hours later, Annette came to the hospital.

When she entered the ward with a bouquet, Lena was crying on the bed.

Kyle was sitting on a chair expressionlessly.

When she saw Annette, Lena shouted, "Annette, why did you do that? If you hate me, come at me! Why did you hurt my baby?"

  Lena screamed, it was heart-wrenching.

Kyle stood up and walked to Annette, "You should go."
