　　Alina glared at Lucas and said, "What makes you think you can blame me? I told you I didn't want any kids. Even if I gave birth to this baby, he would feel ashamed to have a disabled father like you. So, why should I keep him?"

　　"You don't have to threaten me anymore," Alina said firmly. "Lucas, even if you told Connor the truth, what difference would it make? You've hidden the truth from him for so many years. Do you think he will forgive you?"

　　Alina laughed. "Even so, you still love me, don't you?"

　　"Yes, I love you. Do you know? A vicious woman like you only deserves a man like me. Connor is right. Compared to Annette, you are nothing. So, you can never win Connor's heart."

　　Alina turned her head and looked at Lucas, her eyes filled with anger and hatred.

　　Lucas teased, "Alina, hating me won't do any good. As long as I don't let go, you can never leave me."

　　He moved the wheelchair backward with a cold smile. "If you don't want to eat, fine. A wicked woman who killed her own child doesn't deserve to eat."

　　In the afternoon, Marcus came to the hospital.

　　"What did you find out?" Connor asked Marcus directly.

　　"The surveillance camera in that restaurant was not broken on that day but had been broken for some time.

　　Connor nodded and said, "So?"

　　"If Annette was right and Alina framed her intentionally, then Alina must have gone to the restaurant to check if the surveillance camera was broken before she came to me. Therefore, I retrieved the surveillance footage from the restaurant entrance and found that Alina had been there twice in two days. Her last visit was at noon two days ago. The waiter also recognized Alina and said that she had asked the boss to respect the customer's privacy and not to repair the camera."

　　Connor smiled and patted Marcus on the shoulder. "Marcus, good work. You've grown up."

　　Marcus asked, "Connor, I don't understand. Why did Alina do that?"
