His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 232

Chapter 232

Jennifer shouted, "Is that all you've got? Well, listen up. I'm not afraid of going to jail."

"Very well. I'm impressed. I hope you'll keep that spirit counting your days in jail. I heard that people there aren't that nice to new inmates. Besides, with you out of the picture, Mr. Joseph will be set free. So, it's a great deal."

Sara looked at Zachary with a serious expression and said, "Mr. Joseph, just let her go."

Zachary pulled Jennifer hard and said to Sara, "Go inside to Ann and Connor. Tell them that I'm really sorry for this and I'll invite them for lunch another time."

"Why are you sorry? It wasn't your fault. If anyone should apologize, it should be Ms. Burns."

Sara pursed her lips and said to Jennifer, "Don't you agree with me, Ms. Burns?"

Jennifer glared at Sara with wide eyes.

She thought, 'Those women I saw with Zachary before would have given up when I humiliated them like this.

But this one has a bone to pick up with me.'

Jennifer gritted her teeth and roared, "Bitch! Do you have a thing for Zachary? Over my dead body can you have him."

  Zachary shouted, "Jennifer, shut up."

"See? I'm right. This bitch likes you."

Zachary was about to lose control.

He said to Sara, "I'm so sorry for this."

  Sara had a guilty conscience.

Just now, Sara told Annette that she wanted to go out and check on Zachary, but Annette didn't want her to get hurt and stopped her.

  However, Connor took Sara's side.

It was better for her to know what she was dealing with.

  Jennifer was a hysterical woman.

And Sara felt sorry for Zachary.

It explained a lot about what Zachary had gone through with his last relationship.

She knew that it must be difficult for her to warm his heart.

Yet she didn't want to give up.

Sara was about to say something when she saw Zachary looking behind her. "Ann? What are you doing here?"

Annette stood beside Sara, glaring at Jennifer.

"To check on you. I was worried that you two would get hurt by this crazy woman."

Jennifer turned to Annette with a hostile gaze.

"Annette, do you think you're the good person here?"

"And what kind of mad woman are you?" Connor walked over and put his arm around Annette's shoulder.

"Jennifer, act crazy all you want. I don't give a damn. But it's not for you to talk about my woman."

Jennifer pulled back as Connor showed up.

She might have lost her mind, but she was not crazy enough to cross the man in front of him, at least she didn't have a death wish.

Jennifer backed off. Annette said, "Women like you make people sick. Do you think this is the way to get Zachary back? Let me tell you something. That won't happen. What you've done has pushed Zachary away from you. Whoever he chooses to be with is none of your business. And you are just a total loser."

Seeing that Jennifer was about to go crazy again, Zachary looked at the three and said, "Guys, I'm sorry for what happened. Let me take you out for lunch another time. I've got to go now."

Zachary nodded at them and pulled Jennifer away.

After the two walked away, Annette turned to look at Sara.

  Sara's expression was somewhat solemn.

Annette took Sara's arm and said worriedly, "Sara."

Sara smiled at Annette and said, "I'm fine. Don't worry about me."

"Let's go inside." Annette pulled Sara back to the restaurant.

After lunch, on the way back, Annette looked out of the window and was a bit upset.

Connor said, "I told you it wouldn't be easy."

"I just feel sorry for Zachary."

Connor raised his eyebrows and said, "He put too much into his previous relationship and he is weak, and that's the result of it. When it comes to relationships, the two don't need to be financially matched, but they must be on the same page emotionally."

"If you were Zachary, how would you get rid of an ex-girlfriend like Jennifer?" Annette asked curiously, turning her head.

Connor said, "I would never let a woman do this to me."

Annette thought about it and what he said was true.

Not many people dared to provoke Connor.

Connor stroked her head and said, "Just relax. Well, let me give you a piece of advice. To deal with someone like Jennifer, you need to be more ruthless than she is."

  Annette didn't get Connor's point.

  "You didn't get it?"

  Annette shook her head.

Connor held her and continued, "Zachary acts weak because he values his relationship with Jennifer and thinks he should tolerate her. But Sara has nothing to do with Jennifer, so Sara doesn't have to put up with it."

"Are you suggesting that Sara should confront Jennifer?"

Connor said, "Since she wants to be with Zachary, she has to do something about it. With this tricky situation, if Sara doesn't make the first move, Zachary won't have the courage to move on to a new relationship."

"But what if Sara is no match for Jennifer?"

"Actually, Jennifer is not a tough bone to deal with. She's only paranoid when it comes to Zachary."

  "How do you know?"

"If Jennifer acted like this to everyone in her life, she would end up in the loony bin already. So, she did it on purpose because she wanted to scare Zachary. All Sara needs to do is act tough and scare off Jennifer."

Annette nodded since what he said made sense.

Connor knew that she would get his point right away because Annette had always been a smart woman.

"By the way, I want to return to work next week since I'm fine now."

"No. You've only been discharged from the hospital for a week. Why are you in such a hurry?"

"Winter vacation is coming soon. As a student instructor, I shouldn't be away for too long. Besides, I'm so bored at home."

  Connor still insisted, "No."

"I know what you're worried about. I promise I'll take care of myself."

"But you didn't when you were in the Black Thorn Pack, right?"

Annette frowned and said, "We have security guards in the school."

  He refused to compromise.

Annette felt frustrated. "You're impossible to talk to."

Looking at her helpless expression, Connor smiled, "You and the baby are the most important."

"The number of student instructors in each department is set in advance. Without me there, the other student instructors will have to do my work for me, and that will cause them a lot of trouble."

Connor nodded and said, "You have a point. I'll make it up to them on your behalf."

Annette felt helpless and said, "Connor, can you stop using money to take care of everything? I don't like it. I want to go back because it's my job. When I need to take a leave, I will. I'll make sure the baby is fine."

She looked at him with a serious expression and said, "Being at home all the time makes me feel like I'm the Blood Moon Pack's baby factory. I don't want to feel useless, and I don't like having all my things arranged by someone else."

Connor said unhappily, "So, you're not asking me. You're telling me. Right?"

"Kind of," Annette said sheepishly, as she knew how much Connor cared about her.

After thinking for a moment, Connor said, "I agree but with one condition."

  "Name it."

"If you fail to take care of yourself again, from now on, you must do everything as I say. I mean, no fighting back."

She looked at him and figured that he was so strict with her.
