　　"Did you have an argument with Austin?" Connor looked at Annette and asked.

　　Annette replied, "Mr. Norman, you seem to be a busybody."

　　"I thought we were friends now. And I am just chatting with you."

　　"Sorry, I don't want to chat with you about these things. Besides, I'm just a rogue, and I won't be friends with the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack," said Annette coldly.

　　Connor was a little surprised. Why was this hybrid rouge so proud?

　　No werewolf would dare to challenge me in such a way,' said Connor to his wolf in his mind. ' Nor did the werewolves from the other packs dare. '

　　"Connor, don't forget that we are one. I know why you want to conquer her." Leo said indifferently.

　　Connor did not respond to Leo, though he was right about one thing.

　　His desire to conquer Annette was getting stronger.

　　A few days later, Marcus needed to take the exam. Annette was Marcus' tutor, and she seemed to be more nervous than Marcus.

　　Before Marcus left home, she checked his bag again and made sure that he had everything he needed. Then, she sent him to the car.

　　"Marcus, don't be nervous during the exam," Annette instructed.

　　Marcus looked at her calmly. "Annette, you seem to be more nervous."

　　Annette was embarrassed for a moment. "In short, be focused. Don't be careless."

　　Marcus smiled speechlessly. He looked at Connor outside the car and said, "Connor, stop Annette. If she keeps nagging me, I'll be late for the exams."

　　Annette rolled her eyes at him. She let go of the car door and said, "Don't be like this. I won't nag you anymore even if you beg me to."

　　Marcus chuckled. "Wait for my good news. Bye."

　　He closed the car door, and the driver started the car.

　　Connor said to Annette, "Don't worry about him. Get in the car. I'll send you to school."

　　"Mr. Norman." Annette stopped him.

　　Connor looked at her with confusion. "Do you have anything else to say?"

　　"Marcus is taking the exam today, so my work here is over. I will move out of your house today," Annette said.

　　Connor asked, "Are you moving back to your dorm at university?"

　　Annette nodded. "Yes. So, I will have enough time to prepare for my thesis."

　　"Where will you live after you graduate? Don't you have to move again? Isn't that troublesome?" Connor asked.

　　"No," Annette replied.

　　In fact, she had rented an apartment near the school.

　　Annette waited for a while. Since Connor didn't ask more, she smiled, "I'll go pack my things now."

　　Connor sent her back to the university. She got out of the car and said, "Mr. Norman, since I'm no longer working for you, we might not have a chance to meet each other again. I wish you the best for everything in the future."

　　Annette then walked toward the university with her luggage.

　　Not long after, she turned back and saw that Connor's car had left. Only then did she come out with her luggage again and take a taxi to her new apartment.

　　After lunch, she was going to take her shift at the shop.

　　The campus was huge, people wouldn't run into their friends too often.

　　However, it wasn't always the case, especially when she didn't want to meet certain people.

　　On the same path, Kyle and Lena walked side by side to the campus.

　　Annette acted as if she had not seen them. She walked to the right side and passed them.

　　Lena wanted to say something to Annette, but Kyle grabbed her wrist and stopped her.

　　Kyle said coldly, "Just leave her alone."

　　Lena bit her lips and said, "I just want to say hello."

　　"You owe her. It's better that you don't bother her again," Kyle said as he let go of her wrist and walked forward a few steps.

　　Lena's face turned a little pale. Kyle's attitude upset her, but she thought that it was all Annette's fault.

　　She clenched her fists and thought, 'One day, I'll make Annette pay the price!"

　　Annette slowed down after she walked far from them.

　　In the past, Kyle often took her around after lunch on his bicycle.

　　However, he was with another girl now.

　　That day, after they parted at the entrance of the restaurant, Annette received a text from Kyle.

　　He said, "Annette, I won't bother you or make things difficult for you anymore. Just give me two more years. I promise that we will have a great future by that time."

　　Annette felt it was absurd because they had already rejected each other.

　　After two years, even if he could make decisions on his own, she was no longer his mate.

　　Annette thought that Kyle still had feelings for her because the bond between them had not disappeared completely, since they only rejected each other a while ago.

　　But after two years, they would become total strangers. Even if she had a second chance, Annette thought that her mate would never be Kyle again.

　　Therefore, Annette replied to Kyle.

　　She said, "I believe the Moon Goddess won't make a mistake again."

　　In the afternoon, Annette finished her work in the coffee shop and saw Austin at a glance.

　　She frowned and asked, "Why are you here again?"

　　"Well, to return the money to you." Austin smiled as he took out ten dollars from his wallet and handed it to her.

　　Last time, he came to the coffee shop to see Annette. Before he left, he picked up two loaves of bread and did not pay for them deliberately.

　　"You can transfer the money to me," Annette said.

　　"I just need an excuse to see you," Austin said.

　　After he stuffed the money into her bag, he grabbed her wrist, pulling her toward his car. He opened the door and invited her to get in.

　　"Where are you taking me to?" Annette asked.

　　"I'll take you to a good place. Don't refuse me. Otherwise, I will come to you every day."

　　Annette got into the car. Austin looked at her with a gentle smile.

　　"We will be back in half an hour. Just relax for a while."

　　He started the car, and Annette did not say anything.
