His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 152

Chapter 152

Annette sat up immediately after receiving the money. She crossed her legs and looked at Connor with a smile. "Tell me, what notice?"

"Get out of bed. Pack and go back to the apartment."

Annette stared at Connor's face and thought that he finally found her an eyesore.

She got out of bed quickly. As she packed, she was furious.

She pulled out her suitcase and said with a gloomy face, "I'm done packing. Please go out. I'll leave after I change my clothes."

Connor frowned. "Why did you only take your clothes? Where's mine?"

  Annette was stunned. "Yours?"

"I'll go with you." Connor felt that Annette was a little strange.

Annette stood in place and paused for seconds. She said, "Why are you coming with me?"

"I own that apartment." Connor looked at her angry expression and held back his laughter.

"I signed a contract and paid the rent," Annette said righteously.

Connor raised his eyebrows and said, "Alright then. I'll pay you the rent. Hurry up and pack some clothes for me."

Annette asked, "Why did you make such a sudden decision? What do you want to do? Marcus lives in school, and you go to the apartment. Won't there only be Ms. Grace left at home? She will think that we are getting away from her on purpose."

"That's what I want. She has a mate, and it is not OK for her to stay here all the time. I am also helping Lucas. Moreover, I feel distressed seeing that you are jealous." Connor mocked Annette.

"Don't laugh at me." Annette glared at him.

Connor pinched the tip of her nose and said with a smirk, "But I love it when you're jealous."

Annette was a little speechless. "Connor!"

"Hurry. Help me pack up." Connor patted her shoulder.

Annette asked hesitantly, "Is this really okay?"

"Do you want to go back or not?"

"I've always wanted to go back," Annette said earnestly.

  "Then start packing."

Annette glared at Connor and thought, 'I am concerned about him, but he doesn't appreciate it at all.'

  At noon, they went downstairs.

Connor said to Dwayne, "Send someone upstairs to take Annette's luggage and load it up. Ask Leonard to drive us to the apartment."

Dwayne said worriedly, "Alpha Connor, are you going to the apartment with Ms. Hall? What about Ms. Grace?"

  "Just tell her the truth."

  Dwayne said respectfully, "Okay."

Leonard drove Annette and Connor back to the apartment.

Connor asked for the car keys and let Leonard go back first.

Returning to her apartment after such a long time, Annette felt relaxed.

She was in a good mood as she instructed Connor to carry the bedding to the balcony to bask in the sun.

Connor complained, "You're the only one in the world who dares to order me around."

Annette narrowed her eyes, shrugging and smiling. "You said that you are different in front of me. Since that's the case, can't I instruct you to work for me?"

After that, she pointed to the kitchen. "Can you get me a cup of water?"

Connor glared at her, but he walked into the kitchen in the end.

Annette looked at Connor's back and couldn't help but laugh.

She preferred to live this way.

On the weekend, Alina didn't call Connor to question him, which surprised Connor a little.

On Monday morning, Darren asked Annette and Sara to go to his office.

Because of their heroic actions on Friday, the university decided to reward each of them with one thousand dollars.

Marcus was also rewarded. Because he participated in the basketball game, Annette, his student instructor, would help deliver the bonus to him.

At noon, Sara said that she would go out for a big meal, and Annette had no objections.

Leaving the restaurant, Annette saw a women's clothing store not far away.

She thought of the men's clothing that day and pursed her lips. She said to Sara, who walked in front, "Sara, go back first. I want to go buy something."

"Do you want me to go with you?"

"It's OK. I will be back soon."

Annette took a taxi to a mall and entered a men's clothing store.

In the afternoon, Annette received a call from Alina.

Alina said that she was waiting at the school gate and had something to talk to Annette about.

Annette came out. Alina got out of the car and smiled at her.

Annette looked at the beige coat on Alina and paused in her steps.

  She thought, 'Wasn't it pre-sold?

It turned out that Connor didn't buy it for me, but for Ms. Grace.

That day, the shop assistant said that it was ordered by Mr. Norman for her beloved woman.

When Connor decided to go back to the apartment, he told me that he would distance himself from Alina.

  I believed him.

However, he is still in contact with Alina.

We moved out of the villa and it would be more convenient for him to go back to Alina occasionally, right?'

The more Annette thought about it, the angrier she got.

  Alina walked to her.

No matter how sad Annette was, she wouldn't complain in front of Alina.

She calmed herself down and said to Alina, "Ms. Grace, is there anything important? Why did you come?"

Alina smiled kindly. "You will stay with Connor after work, and I don't want to bother you two. Ms. Hall, I was not being considerate the day before yesterday. I didn't discuss it with you in advance and only thought about giving Connor a surprise. I won't do that again."

Alina reached out to hold Annette's hand. "Will you forgive me?"

"Ms. Grace, did you come to me today just because of this? Please don't take it to heart. I appreciate your kindness. I didn't agree because I thought I shouldn't lie to Connor. I didn't mean anything else." Annette was a little unaccustomed to Alina's nice attitude.

Alina nodded. "Alright, let it go. I came here to talk to you. I kept something for myself for a long time. I need to get it out."

Annette frowned. Alina wasn't going to talk about her relationship with Connor, was she?

She didn't understand Alina. Alina knew Annette's relationship with Connor, but she still wore the expensive coat that Connor gave her when she met Annette.

  Was it appropriate?

Annette thought, 'If I were you, I would never do such a thing.

Connor is indeed a bastard. If he and Alina loved each other, say it bravely. Why did he fool me and Lucas?'

Annette bit her lips and then said, "Ms. Grace, I don't think I am a good listener. I am not good at this."

"I'll feel more at ease when I talk to you about that." Alina didn't seem to hear Annette's refusal.
