His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 150

Chapter 150

"In the morning, I came to have breakfast with you. But you said that you were going to the company. Now..."

"You were overthinking. I did have something to do in the morning. Now, I am going to see my girlfriend. It is normal, isn't it?"

  Alina slowly retracted her hand.

Connor opened the door and went out.

He went upstairs and went back to his room. Annette was sitting on the cushion by the window and staring outside the window.

Connor walked to her, and she looked back at him with a hint of sadness in her eyes.

He sat down opposite her and asked, "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing. Why didn't you stay with Ms. Grace downstairs?"

"Why should I stay with her? I prefer to be with you."

Annette hesitated for a moment before asking, "Connor, do you think men like to be two-faced?"

Connor stared at her face for a while and said, "You are not targeting me, are you? Did I do something to make you mad at me?"

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door, and Alina's voice came through.

"Connor, Ms. Hall, can I come in? I'd like to show you something."

  "Come in," Connor said.

Alina pushed open the door and walked in with four bags of men's suits in her hands.

Annette frowned, and her expression became colder.

Just as she was about to leave, she heard Alina say, "Connor, Ms. Hall bought you some clothes today. I brought them up for you. Remember to try them on and see if you like them."

  Alina smiled at Annette.

Connor looked at Annette in surprise. He rubbed her head and said, "My girl is so considerate?"

Alina's face turned a little gloomy.

  Annette blushed in embarrassment.

"I didn't buy them. I can't afford such expensive clothes. Ms. Grace paid the bill."

Alina said, "Ms. Hall, you picked them, and it could be considered that you bought them. Connor, don't you think so?"

Connor looked at Annette dotingly. "Of course. I make money for every member of the Blood Moon Pack."

Annette looked a little annoyed. "I didn't pick them. When I went out, I never thought of buying clothes for you. They were indeed bought for you by Ms. Grace. You shouldn't thank me."

Alina looked sad. She said, "Ms. Hall, are you angry? I'm sorry. I just wanted to help you and Connor. I didn't expect to make you unhappy."

Seeing Alina's aggrieved expression, Annette felt a little speechless. She said, "Ms. Grace, I'm not angry with you. I didn't do that, so I had no reason to take credit. The clothes were bought by you. How can I say that I bought them?"

Alina said guiltily, "I was wrong. I thought that if I gave a gift to my boyfriend, my boyfriend would be happy, so I decided to help you."

Annette replied, "Thank you for your kindness. I accept it. I understand what you're saying. If I wanted to send a gift to Connor, I would pick one myself. The gift you chose is not enough to show my sincerity. Don't you agree?"

Alina nodded guiltily at Annette and looked at Connor. "Ms. Hall, you are right. I'm sorry for ruining your mood. Connor, sorry for interrupting you two. I'm tired, and I'll go back now."

She turned around and left with her head lowered.

Annette frowned. She had only told the truth, but seeing Alina leave dejectedly, she felt that she had done something wrong.

Connor stared at Annette and did not speak for a while.

Annette glanced at him. "What are you trying to say? Are you disappointed that I provoked Alina?"

"I want to know why you are in such a bad mood."

Annette looked away and said, "I didn't pick these clothes for you. I shouldn't lie."

"Alina did that out of good intentions. She is helping you improve our relationship."

Annette took a deep breath and said, "I know she has feelings for you. She bought clothes for you in my name. She is not helping me. I am helping her. I am helping her to improve her relationship with you."

She was angry and looked at Connor sharply.

Connor finally figured out why Annette was angry. He smiled, "I understand what you mean. It's fine if you are jealous. You don't have to say such harsh words."

"What do you mean that I am jealous?" Annette said.

"You don't want me to wear clothes that other women bought for me. Why is that?"

Annette pointed at the clothes on the bed and said, "Go ahead. If you want to wear them, then put them on. I won't stop you."

Connor picked up the clothes and threw them in the trash can.

Annette was stunned. Connor threw the new clothes away just like that!

Connor walked back to the window and said, "I won't wear clothes bought by other women. I only wear the clothes you bought."

Annette stood up from the window and said, "Let's go down and have lunch. I will apologize to Ms. Grace."

"She won't eat with us. I asked her to eat on her own, just like Marcus."

Annette was puzzled. "Why? Didn't you enjoy your breakfast with her this morning?"

Connor looked at her in confusion. "Who told you that I had breakfast with Alina?"

"If you don't want others to know, then you shouldn't do it."

"Tell me, who told you that?" Connor repeated.

Annette crossed her arms. "Ms. Grace told me that."

Connor was silent for a moment.

He thought, 'What was Alina going to do? Why was she lying?'

There was a hint of coldness in his eyes. Alina should know that he hated women who played tricks, but she still chose to lie to Annette.

Looking at Connor's expression, Annette wondered if she should mention it. It seemed that she was making a fuss out of nothing.
